You will be the reason I pass my Anatomy & Physiology courses in nursing school. You're my personal online science tutor! I love your effective way of breaking such complex things down to a third grade so that anyone can understand it. Thanks alot.
Mr.Anderson you have been a tremendous amount of help. Ap-Bio has been a tough year mostly because my teacher quit and we went 2 six weeks without a teacher we finally got one but she is not very good. So your videos have been such a help I am learning more than I am learning in my actual class.
This is really is a fantastic video, making difficult material easier to understand. I love the "Dora" part and found myself saying the answers out loud while giggling. Who knew I could giggle while watching a bio video. Thank you!
thanks so much for explaining things for me. it makes so much more sense when you put things your way.i had to watch your video 2day in honors biology and my TEACHER was taking notes on your lesson. sad huh? well thanks again!
thank you thank you thank you thank you a thousand times thank you your teaching is helping me understand so much in biology! its really helping me thanks!
Thanks, Mr. Anderson. You're a huge help and you reeeally know how to teach good. Please continue with the videos. lol I'm in college taking Bio 2 and I need yoour help thanks again
Great video and overview of the cell membrane. I have one correction: passive transport (diffusion and facilitated diffusion) does NOT require energy or ATP to occur.
When you show the single layer of membrane (Micelle), is there any space in between the tails of the membrane? If a phospholipid unilayer is placed in water (not around a cell), the heads will face outwards, but aren't there still water molecules on the inside of the circle of phospholipids? If so, the nonpolar tails will also repel the water in between them, which would make the circle useless. Analogy- Musk Ox predator is the same as water. Water will approach from all sides, and will flow all around the musk oxen. If the musk oxen form a circle with heads outwards, wouldn't there be a predator inside the circle, or would the nonpolar tails simply push it out of the circle?
I know it's about 4 years late but if the phospholipids touch then they stop acting as a membrane as even small, particles like CO2 and O2 cant get through so the cell would die
Thank you so much for your videos. Honestly our prof confuses us and its all self study. =( So I cannot hank you enough!!! It is bc of you I got an A on my first exam. I NEVER took at chemistry in my life until now, 39yrs old returning to college after al LONG time, and all bc I changed my career to Physical therapy and need the AP's!
mr anderson is my teacher he teaches sixth grade in iowa he showed us this vid today and hes like this was me before i came here and he kept complimenting himself
Thanks a lot! your video's are amazing! and your enthusiasm makes it very easy to watch! I can't help it.. But did you know that Bozeman in Dutch means: angry man??
This teacher is much better than my bio teacher in college. It's frustrating that a sixth-grade teacher is better at his job than a college teacher.
so true. and now that everything is online u have to pretty much teach urself. f corona
Leslie M yeah fu*k China for this virus
Doesn't he teach High school biology? Thanks, Paul Anderson!
"and i hope this was helpful!" - Mr. Anderson

I'm in AP Biology and your videos are amazing at wrapping everything up so simply! thank you TONS!!!
Thank you Mr. Anderson for equipping me with the knowledge to understand the cell membrane.
🙌🙌
Thank goodness for your videos; they're life-savers!
Thank you sir! after looking at so many different websites you finally brought it all together
Studying first year of biotechnology in collage and your videos are actually life saving :D
Mr.Anderson you have been a tremendous amount of help. Ap-Bio has been a tough year mostly because my teacher quit and we went 2 six weeks without a teacher we finally got one but she is not very good. So your videos have been such a help I am learning more than I am learning in my actual class.
your analogy on the phospholipid couldnt be more accurate.
So glad to have found this channel, very helpful.

I love the way you teach😍

so helpful! thank you
Loved the visuals!

This was extremely helpful!
Wow excellent presentation
I have a quick question. You said it was bad if the phospholipids touch, but what exactly happens if they do?
queentheowl I have answer for u they are bad when they they touch from a 6th grader who's bored
I know it's about 4 years late but if the phospholipids touch then they stop acting as a membrane as even small, particles like CO2 and O2 cant get through so the cell would die
amazing work
Great presentation ... thank you

4:44 PERSONAL NOTE BC I NEVER KNEW THAT
I wish Mr Anderson was my teacher
You have great videos but writing what you talk ( words) hides the structures and the views behind them.
