your lessons have saved me multiple times. I love studying biology but my teachers force me to memorize it without trying to understand it. They don't even make an effort to explain it, they just tell me to memorize it. It sucks because it has made me hate studying even though I used to love it. Coming back to your channel and revising this has been very helpful. Thank you a lot!
That’s me rn I feel my professor just gives me everything to learn n on the same week we have an exam on 3 chapters like how am I supposed to remember all three chapters or what to study. It’s so stressful.
***** The professors at my school were English speaking, however the actual teaching was done by TAs, one of the worst experiences in college I have had.
***** Most of the professors are researchers and they spend little efforts to teach students. Rather we get stuck with expensive poorly written textbooks and difficult tests that only a machine could pass.
***** I am in the US, and mu community college courses were much more manageable than the ones at the University. They like to call them "drop out" courses but they are just bad programs staffed by bad professors.
***** Nope the problem is the tests are way to hard, some students pass through 2 methods, A: cheating (which hurts the curve that other students rely on to pass) and B Machine studying which alot of students (myself included) cannot do.
You explain and demonstrate these biological functions with precision. The concept maps are an excellent visual aid that helps me organize my thoughts. After watching your lessons my exam grade went up 15 points---taking me to a B! Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
I cannot thank you enough for creating your teaching videos. Thanks to you I am able to understand the material in my A&P book. You are truly a fantastic educator.
you are the bomb!!!! Everytime I am reading my A&P chapters, I always get overwhelmed, but than I watch your videos on the topic and feel way more confident about the material! Thanks!
This is incredibly helpful. I just found your web videos after my sister told me to try TH-cam. It's SO MUCH better than trying to learn from a book when it comes to really complex things like membrane transport and dna replication. Thanks so much.
this video probably just bumped my grade up from a C on the test to a B or even an A! Thank you! you teach better than my teacher, and she's been teaching for like ever.
Mr. Andersen doesn't just talk about the topic but really knows what to point to in order to make us understand why we're being taught these things. A great example was the video on Environmental Matter Exchange. In my textbook, I can only remember learning about the cycles of nitrogen, carbon and water, and learning it from that angle is missing the point.
It is helpful! I stopped using my book to study for my ap bio exams and I just watch your videos instead. My book is kind of confusing and these videos really clear things up. My teacher always plays them in class. She is obsessed with you. You are a hero!
hey, i really, really appreciate you taking the time and effort to make these videos... Earlier today I was getting SO frustrating trying to study and memorize everything for the ap exam tomorrow, that I even thought about just giving up and just accepting whatever score I would get! I decided to watch your videos so I could put down the book, and not only do I have a clearer understanding of many of the topics now, but your videos have really renewed my interest for biology. Thank you.
You're video's are constantly helping me, especially when my teacher doesn't explain what's going on at all and just throws it on us. Thank you so so much! :)
So far, I find your videos to be very informative & helpful. You explain things in a way that is simple, understandable, and broad enough to tie everything together. Thank you very much for taking the time to create these videos!
Been struggling to try and understand the material for class from just my notes. I came across your video today and now the material is making a lot more sense. Thank you very much for putting together some great videos. I've subscribed to your videos and will be watching a lot more of them. Keep up the great work.
OMG! I'm studying human anatomy and physiology and this helps with my studies 100%! After reading my text and then watching this, taking notes it makes so much more sense thankyou!
your videos are still so helpful Bozeman Science! Been using them since 2018! thank you so much! Much easier to understand than my lecturers at university lol.
Woow! I usually never comment in youtube videos, but you blew me away! OMG! I learned muchhh more with you than my teacher, you are great!! Im even thinking about taking bio next semester. THANK YOU SOO MUCH!
Hey +Camila Orejuela, osmosis is the pass of water across the cell membrane, diffusion is about other kinds of cells, as glucose, oxygen and carbon dioxide, Osmosis is the act of the water molecules moving to provide balance between inner cell and the outside, as the diffusion can be either random movements of molecules or molecules passing by, in this way that the cell helps in many processes, like transporting molecules through the tissues and stuff. Osmosis is the balance a kinda of pressure on the cell, that's why it's important to maintain the level of water in the body, otherwise there would be so many water that the cell would explode!
FOR THE YOUTH!!! What is the function of the cell membrane? provides protection for a cell. It also provides a fixed environment inside the cell. 2. Why is a phospholipid amphipathic? Explain how this affects transport across the membrane? They have a hydrophilic, polar phosphate head and two hydrophobic fatty acid tails. 3. Compare the behavior of musk oxen to a cell membrane. both contain phospholipid properties. 4. What do glycoproteins and glycolipids have in common? both occur in the cell Membrane. 5. What does cholesterol do for the cell membrane? Why is this important? provides essential nutrients and provides extra resources. 6. What are the only things that can diffuse through the cell membrane? water, carbon dioxide, oxygen. 7. How do other things enter the cell? They have to be processed by the cell and transform to a similar state as the primary objects enter. 8. What are aquaporins? transport water across cell membranes.
@vshubh123 Yes and no. Although water molecules are polar, they can diffuse across a cell membrane because they are so small. However, this process is relatively slow so many cells have developed aquaporins to help speed up osmosis.
my bio teacher doesnt teach us anything so this is literally my only hope. this is why i am getting an A in ap bio
yes my teacher last year for bio just linked us his profile and did not give lessons.
This guy right here summarized a whole chapter in 13 mins!!

I have a huge AP Biology test tomorrow and just going through your videos has made me feel so much more prepared. Thank you so much!
awesome
Hilarious how DIY professor videos are better than the university lectures that we pay thousands to attend.
This is very true. By the way, that's a nice profile picture.

Seriously your videos are the best way to study for any bio exam ive ever taken
you are the bomb!!!! Everytime I am reading my A&P chapters, I always get overwhelmed, but than I watch your videos on the topic and feel way more confident about the material! Thanks!
can I just say that the way you explain things makes me understand it better than anyone/thing else. I really seriously love you.
This is honestly better than the lectures I pay for, thank you for these videos!
i learn so much more from you in about 12 minutes than I do in all 75 minutes of my A&P lecture! thanks so much!
This is incredibly helpful. I just found your web videos after my sister told me to try TH-cam. It's SO MUCH better than trying to learn from a book when it comes to really complex things like membrane transport and dna replication. Thanks so much.
Sie sind der beste Lehrer, den ich je gesehen habe!
bro is straight up sciencing 🗣🗣🗣🗣🔥🔥

update?
Thank you so much, you explain everything so well!
Got a 96 on my test because of this!
You, sir, have just saved my Biology grade, I LOVE YOU

"thats a glut i love that word" im crying
Emma Wallisch I like how he just subtly slipped that in there, no reaction whatsoever😂😂
I saw your comment right before he said it
+Theboss 4402 I love your profile picture
As a visual learner myself, your videos taught me and influenced me the most out of all other tutor videos I found. Thank you SO much!

how old are you now ???
@@natfreij I am not really sure why you would be asking that.
can u be my teacher in real life pls
OMG! I'm studying human anatomy and physiology and this helps with my studies 100%! After reading my text and then watching this, taking notes it makes so much more sense thankyou!
anyone here for the transport across cell membranes work sheet?
no
Jonathan Mayhugh SAME
It’s my turn for this torture
Jonathan Mayhugh fuck it’s a dead end
worksheet designed for this video
I've learned more from you than my actual AP biology teacher, thank you!!
Mr. Andersen, thank you so much for your videos, they help A LOT.
your videos are still so helpful Bozeman Science! Been using them since 2018! thank you so much! Much easier to understand than my lecturers at university lol.
Thank you this was very helpful and well explained, I understood this lecture a lot better than the lecture given by my biology instructor.
I have never commented on a video before, but this was SO INCREDIBLY HELPFUL I just had to! Thank you so much!!
Only from Montana!
Thanks Professor...you make everything understandable.
(I am a prior and future resident of Bozeman! Glad I found you.)
I audio record your videos and play them every morning in the shower. It is a Tremendous help. lol Thanks YOU ROCK!!
you bring so much sense to the matter. I actually understand after your videos. thanks you thank you thank you THANK YOU!!

Your videos help so much with my A&P online classes! Thanks for making these!!
my bio teacher must love you bc this is like the eleventh video of yours he assigned for homework
I love science still, even when I have to do a quiz on a science video every 2 days... But I'm learning none the less
Extremely helpful. You explain it a lot better than my current professor. Thank you so much!!!

Our teacher showed this video in class without giving you any credit for it. I found it just to say thanks and offer a like!
The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell
this is the best video i ave found on youtube on this topic!! thankyou so much. i will go through the rest of your series hopefully. i love it!!
Thank you very much for being a *DECENT* teacher. You are also saving *MY* butt from a crappy biology prof. Cheers to you!

This is really a big help. Specially during this pandemic
Incredible. In the final section the explanation of neurotransmitters put everything in nutshell.
Still better than all biology teachers 11 years later
Thank you! I always watch your videos before I do my revision and they're really really helpful :)
You are saving my grades, I love you
my biology teacher doesnt teach us but shows us you doing this videos n makes us do a quiz
Sounds about right
Thank you soo much!!! You were great help for my Bio exam!!!
I has midterms in 2 days(the dumb misspell is intended). THANK YOU!!!!!! NOW I WILL ACE IT!!!!!
Perfect compliment for my distance learning degree
I have mid terms tomorrow...you just made me a very happy sudent!

Tomorrows my test and i feel like giving up thumbs up to show support for me.
this video helped a lot for my class project. thank you very much
Yes! My bio teacher doesn't explain us this he just reads us the book plis keep making videos like this.
This is actually making me excited again about doing A-level biology :)
Thank you it's very helpful especially the specific examples
as it relates to the human body!
thank you so much for making these videos! you make biology easier to understand (:
Informative and educative material that are simply analyze! Thanks
I like this video its so simple and straightforward
@vshubh123 I think its passive transport. Facilitated diffusion involves cotransport proteins but no usage of ATP if I recall.
you are a wonderful teacher
Sir, Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you so much😭 you saved me
Thank you so much! You are the reason I am passing my exams :')
u save me from bad and hard situation thank u
Thank you for making this video! I understand these things a lot better.
love your videos!!! you're my fav!! thank you so much!
great videos Mr. Andersen. Thank you!
Thanks a lot. .....your videos are easy to understand:-)
Wow you explain everything very well. Thanks for your help. Keep the videos coming :)
Mr. Anderson you’re a real one 💯
Nice, these videos are enjoyable assignments. :)
Now I can do good on my anatomy quiz tomorrow, THANK YOU
Your videos are great! Thank you so much!.
Hi. At 7:49 the correct word would not be conformation, instead of confirmation?
thank you Mr Paul!
Love ya mr Anderson, thank u for your help
Thank you. Your presentation was on point.
I can't say anything...you'r awesome...thanks...keep going
I've watched about 3 or 4 vids and you have covered about 3 or 4 weeks of college bio. I'm not as confused as when I first started.
