Beautiful man this bike my dream now. I actually own a Royal Enfiled Gt650. But after watching this video my heart gone to this bike. Will this bike launch in India? and I wanna how your bike sounds.❤
@@rangersingh1146 hey 👋🏼 It is a stunning bike, the green paint is glorious. I’m not sure if they are realising this in India, sorry. How do you find the RE GT650?
@@thebonniebiker I have Mr.clean RE GT650 variant and for me it is the fastest in its class and has excellent road presence, the only issue is with the heating and heavy cause the weight of both silencer 25kg each weight around 12.5 kg and total weight of the bike is around 218kg. and my god the paint job of your bike is definetly that win my heart it just like Emerlad 💚 (my favorite stone😂) I really want to hear the sound of your bike. Can you please drop a reel or a video. I just can't wait to hear it. Thankyou For Replying Lots of love from India♥.
The FE? You lucky SOB ;) I had to settle for jet black ice silver....was late to the game and the greens were all taken. None-the-less, beautiful bike and great ride.
Yep FE, seen her in person and she's a beauty. Whatever colours they wear, really doesn't matter. Thinking arrow race headers with weslake shorties. It's bigger sister, my 919 hornet likes to sing from its MIVVs, so the thruxton needs its own voice.
I'm lucky to own an FE. It is such a fabulous bike. The only annoyance is 3 punctures in the first 700. I need to think better about riding in London. The Tyres that come with, are great, sticky and confidence givers.
I have the 2022 RS. lovely bike but is tiring on wrists. Love the FE color scheme. Sad the line is finishing, but will make them all the more desirable. Looking forward to your next review.
@@gerrycleary-l8n it’s such a shame, it’s a fantastic bike but I suppose all good things must come to an end. Thank you for the support, it really means a lot.
I owned the older aircooled Thruxton (2009) from 2009 through 2019 with some overlap with my 2016 Thruxton R for 8 years and counting. I’ve ridden some mountain roads and did a bit of drag racing and land speed racing with both Thruxton's both in stock and with minor modifications. The older 2009 Thruxton was a bit more comfortable but the watercooled Thruxton is better in every other way as it should be for the cost. The Thruxton R with a corbin seat is comfortable enough for 200 mile riding day but I'm almost 71 now. The Thruxton R is about 1.5 seconds quicker in the quarter mile even with punching the 2009 Thruxton 30 horsepower. Top speeds for the unmodified models was 125.1 mph for the 2009 and 130.5 mph for the Thruxton R. Modified the 2009 top speed was 140 mph and the Thruxton R was 151.5 mph. The Thruxton R is smoother and beats the aircooled 2009 by quite a large margin in fuel economy. Most people looking at both bikes together find the 2009 Thruxton to slightly more attractive but I see it the other way.
That would make sense 👍🏼 It seemed like it reduced the power, but perhaps a reduced delivery would have been a better explanation. I don’t think the top speed is reduced just takes longer to get there. Thank you 😁
@@logangodofcandy Well it has the best styling and frame....compared to SE Bonnieville. It's light , reasonably powerful, smooth. As for comfort I spent $3000 altering the suspension and seat plus another $2000 adding a fairing. The front forks are progressively sprung. As for the clipons , they are not extreme and are similar to Kawasaki zx14/14R bars which I rode since 2006. The bars on the Thurxton are set like a Sports tourer . Try a 600 TT Triumph for discomfort comparison. One hour ride only, and I was only 45 then. not 70 like I am now
Yes I definitely noticed the difference, the bobber is all low end torque and instant power. The Thruxton felt smoother and quicker with the pull a little higher in the rev range. Both fantastic engines
‘Pay homage to a cafe racer’ - that’s a laugh. It is a very nice bike, but a cafe racer has clip-ons, which are low down for a reason. Cafe racers were never set up for comfort - they were set up for minimal wind resistance and to go everywhere at illegal speeds. Let’s face facts - it’s a beautiful bike for old guys to reminisce of the old days when they could actually ride a cafe racer.
I actually said it pays tribute to the cafe racer lineage 👍🏼 but thanks for the comment. Nothing wrong with having a bit of nostalgia, that’s pretty much what all the modern classic range is about.
Here from india, applause for showcasing this piece of art. Keep up with great video " all the very best👍🏻🩷📈

Stunning bike 😍 wonder the seat comfort differs if the stock is changed to the premium one?
Picking mine up on wednesday. The only deciding factor is when to order the replacement pipes..

Hey Ray, mostly good review however an error: The bike has Nissin brakes on the rear not brembo. Brembo are only in the front.
You are absolutely correct, my apologies 🙌🏼

The 1200 Thruxton is the best model in the Bonneville range.

It’s OK to be picky, front fender should be competition green/ with gold pinstripes.
