      The skin (although not really healthy) is the tastiest part! Just a preference though if you would rather use skinless.

    Doing this dish as I watch this vid, I do mine pretty close to the way you do yours except I use 5-6 whole cloves of garlic since I grow garlic in my garden. Nicely done.

    • @DiningwithDan
      @DiningwithDan  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Fresh garlic is always the best way to go, I'm usually just too lazy and use the jarred stuff

    • @SuperSaltydog77
      @SuperSaltydog77 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don't feel that your lazy, the jarred garlic is pretty convenient and very fresh tasting. I'm retired so I have the time to garden.

    When you buy the broth, after opening the top, it opens the the area where you thought someone tucked their finger at. I thought the same thing until my daughter told me no one did it. You were safe to not trust it, but it was okay to use. LOL.

    When u say they stuck their finger in the top, do u mean it looked like the chicken broth was open when u unscrewed the lid, bcuz if so, I noticed that also, but there' sharp plastic tines on the bottom of the lid that cut into the foil to open it when u twist the lid off?

    someone didn't "put their finger in it". when you unscrew the top, it automatically cuts the foil seal. its designed to do that. I know, I checked six boxes of chicken broth in the grocery store and found they had all been opened. I complained to the store manager and he explained that to me. I apologized for my stupidity and proudly walked out of the store (after I bought six boxes of chicken broth).

    To Wash or Not Wash: (per the USDA) Nov 16, 2016: ~ Marianne Gravely, Food Safety Education Staff, Food Safety and Inspection Service, USDA in Health and Safety ~ -> "Food Safety experts (including us at USDA) do not recommend washing raw meat and poultry before cooking. Many bacteria are quite loosely attached and when you rinse these foods the bacteria will be spread around your kitchen." ~ www,usda,gov/media/blog/2016/11/16/wash-or-not-wash

      Please help me to understand. I shouldn't wash raw meat, poultry or fish because I might spread bacteria around my kitchen? No fear. I always clean my kitchen with bleach after raw meat and fish. I also clean raw meat and fish with lime/lemon and salt. Normal practice in the Caribbean. Question. Why is the concern on spreading the bacteria around the kitchen, and not that it is on the meat?

      Valid question. The main reason that you should be concerned more about spreading bacteria around the kitchen rather than the meat is because is cooked properly and to the right temperature any bacteria on the meat will be cooked off and killed, most diseases and bacteria are spread by touching areas with the bacteria on it (ie; raw meat, sinks, cell phones, etc) rather than from cooked meat!

    Dude after handling chicken.... you might want to wash your hands before you go touching everything in the kitchen with that crap on your fingers....
    Other than that your videos pretty cool
