I am in the Caribbean and in my location we have many good Chinese restaurants but they are all Cantonese style food. I miss the Sichuan restaurants in New York and have to do-it-yourself. I can buy ingredients online but your channel is most helpful in how-to. A big thank you!
Just to note that most of her stuff she makes is Cantonese style. Not Sichuan. Sichuan is those very very spicy ones that use a lot of red chilies. 🌶 She doesn’t make many Sichuan dishes just a few. Not many can eat real Sichuan dishes in China actually unless you’re from there. Many believe it’s actually bad for your intestines way too many chilies so not many eat it. There’s another channel on TH-cam that makes strictly Sichuan food, it’s Liziqi. She lives in Sichuan region and uses tons of red chilies in her cooking. Don’t also base NY or American Chinese restaurant food as authentic Chinese food. They’re far from authentic Chinese food in China.

5 stars on this recipe. I made this tonight for some friends from the Philippines and they said it was the best fried rice they ever had!! I used shrimp instead
This is how it's done!! Cooking each component of the fried rice separately is best so everything gets fried nicely and evenly - Most of the YT videos get this wrong and cook everything together in the pan at once. Done that way, the result is a mess. I usually only have one type of soy sauce in the kitchen, so I use normal light soy sauce and add oyster sauce and Shaoxing wine to deglaze. But besides that I make my fried rice exactly the same. Thanks for the video.
So glad I watched this! All Cooking should be this easy and delicious. Love the sincere presentation and the straightforward delivery. I will check everything here that"s available. Why haven't I seen this sooner?!
Just made this today following your way and it turned out so rich and flavorful. Omitted carrots. Added bean sprouts, mushrooms. Also did a combination of chicken and shrimp. To the rice I added both oyster sauce and dark soy sauce.
@@lizbethtejeda5721 Just a tad of baking soda to marinate most meats, not seafood, will tenderize meat. I use a teaspoon of baking soda, xio xing wine, soy sauce, touch sesame oil for the marinade. Oh yum. I'm gonna use brocolli also.
I copied your idea and used broccoli as well! Works perfect in this dish!
I am in the Caribbean and in my location we have many good Chinese restaurants but they are all Cantonese style food. I miss the Sichuan restaurants in New York and have to do-it-yourself. I can buy ingredients online but your channel is most helpful in how-to. A big thank you!
Is the country Trinidad?
I made this recipe yesterday, and two things.
It was amazing when it was fresh
Most importantly
It was AMAZING still whenever I reheated it for my lunch break later in the day, and that blew me away.
Thank you for sharing the recipe!!
Ryan Pruitt I completely agree. It shocked me how nice the aroma and taste was even the next day!!
Yeah my coworker taught my how to make stir fried beef Nd it was fire af the next day 🔥🔥🔥 I think Asian food taste bomb rehated not all food does
I've made this recipe many times. Sometimes I add Broccoli and julienne celery to the veggie mix. It's incredible, and really is better than take out!
try adding a little bit of toasted sesame oil just before taking it out of the wok -- adds a super nice flavor -- just a little bit adds a lot of taste
guruaccount I always add sesame oil
guruaccount Idid that too, it tasted awesome!!! I also used shrimp instead of chicken :)
You can mix the sesame oil in with the soy sauce !!
thats the real way to do it
Real fried rice don't use sesame oil, only Americanized version use em.
Hi,this is my wife's favorite. My new Woks get used every day.Our friends are honest when they comment on my cooking and they say that this is the best. I try to send them home with a little bowl if there is any left which is rare. They say it's as good or better than any take out.My wife and I think it's the best food that I have cooked, ever.I don't know what I enjoy more, cooking, eating or watching my friends eating and enjoying such delicious Chinese food.thanks again!
Peter Edd did you double the ingredients?
Here is a secret tip: Add two pinches of chicken bullion powder, a pinch of dashi powder, one tsp oyester sauce, tasting soy sauce (this has msg) , and tsp of butter in the end will elevate this dish to whole another level.
Thx for the recipe. I tried it tonight and it came out great. I had to make a few changes I used what I had. I didn't add any chicken, I used 1 cup of frozen season blend (which is cut up onions, bell peppers, and celery), 1 cup of frozen mixed veggies, I used garlic powder for my veggies cause I didn't have any minced garlic. I didn't have any light soy sauce, I used 3 Tbsps of dark soy sauce and my food still came out good. I'm so glad I don't have to go to a restaurant I'm looking forward into trying more of ur recipes. I truly appreciate u sharing ur recipe. I can't wait to make it again. Thx a mill😊
Well done for not limiting yourself and finding your own way around things ! :)
The most precious tips were the separate preps for each ingredient. The separate egg prep was golden!
Seriously, this was absolutely delicious. I actually tripled the recipe to feed more people and it was perfection. I LOVE your tip about adding the baking soda. The chicken was tender and juicy. Thank you so much for this video/recipe. It will now be one of my "go to" recipes.
I whipped this together for my beautiful bride and she loved it. ! Now I’m going to make it again by demand. I’ll keep it in my favorites.
Thanks so much for sharing.
I just made this recipe tonight, it was delicious! It was the first time I used my freshly seasoned wok, recommended on this channel. It was amazingly simple and very satisfying to make. Since i now have a wok, I’m going to try to cook every recipe on her channel. And as she says, It is better than takeout.
I just made this for the first time ever and it came out so perfect I can’t believe it smells so good thank you so much ❤
I was looking for Chinese recipes when I found you channel. I wanted to start cooking in a Wok. Last night, I cooked this recipe for my grand children, they loved it. That is why I became a supporter of your channel, It is easy to see what a wonderful chef you are.
This is one of the best cooking videos I've seen on youtube, super straight forward with nice dashes of explanation behind why you're doing each step.
I make this when it's "clean out the fridge night" and I always use your sauce recipe using the ingredients you recommended. Thanks for sharing!
This is the second time I am making this dish with high demand from my family, following your instruction made it easy and very delicious.thank you.
Your enthusiasm is so great. It makes me look forward even more to making this!
Made this many times, often without the chicken and it's so good. Lovely girl.
I made this today and seriously better than takeout. Can't wait to cook again. Family art it all up.

What heat do you cook the egg and vegetables on?
@@dukejohnson6025 looks pretty hot
Just met this today not quite like it but I did use sesame oil with peanut oil scrumptious
Art it all up? Sounds painful.
This is my go to recipe. Best one I’ve ever found. I think I’ve watched it at least ten times over the last 3 years.
IM SO GLAD I FOUND YOUR CHANNEL! I know my daughter will be happy for me to try your recipes!
Sapsaol Ortega Hey We Eat Cats!!!! Shame on You!
Sapsaol Ortega what are you ?
Looks amazing! I am starting to become addicted to this channel. Her presentation is just perfect, it leaves me feeling like I could actually do this. Well done!
Hello, I seen your recipe this morning & tried it for dinner. It was great. I added Broccoli & a lil Sesame oil to mines. Thank you for sharing!
Looks good & easy and tasty 😋 will have it for tea tomorrow 🇬🇧
5 stars on this recipe. I made this tonight for some friends from the Philippines and they said it was the best fried rice they ever had!! I used shrimp instead
Thank you very much for this awesome video. I'm about to make this for my family.
Sorry, you're too slow
Your slow
Of all the people to comment, I did not expect one from the Nursing Queen herself!!!! Nurse here too thanks for the help through nursing school!!!
I like your recipes. You don't add more sugar to any of your recipes. Thank you 😊 💓
So glad I watched this!
Superb!
Hi! Did u use baking poeder or baking soda? First she says baking powder but then baking soda so Im confused is it both or just one of them?
@@lizbethtejeda5721
Just a tad of baking soda to marinate most meats, not seafood, will tenderize meat.
I use a teaspoon of baking soda, xio xing wine, soy sauce, touch sesame oil for the marinade. Sometimes I will use corn flour instead of baking soda though. use only a little of each ingredients. I hope this helps.
@@lizbethtejeda5721 baking soda for sure! :)
@@lizbethtejeda5721 Read her notes. She says she made a mistake and it's baking soda. Enjoy !
I like this recipe for chicken fried rice so far which is straight forward. The young lady showing us how to cook this dish does this very well with a pleasant personality and great skill.
You're a great cook with a ton of great recipes, but you're also totally adorable. I swear to god it makes me smile just hearing you talk about the food
Looks amazing. Girl you get down cooking. It's not just putting things together its knowing exactly when to put them together. I'm gonna make this. Thsnks

I've followed this recipe multiple times. Have to say it is amazing! My family loves it. Thank you so much!!
The fried chicken, taste so good when I eat with the Delta Parole music on blast the fried chicken is love fried chicken is life.
Also add a 1/4 tsp of Sesame Oil, fot an identical take out taste!
Great tip! 😃 I will try it!
Very necessary
@UCfX5XbSeDdbnqLUmzSDNVIA incorrect. 1/4th of a teaspoon mixed with the soy sauce before adding. I forgot to add it yesterday and it was a big difference
The common Chinese egg fried rice does not have sesame oil in them. Those that you're used to eating must be some jazzed up version for western taste buds.
@@cashmerehazel21 Agreed, sesame oil is not compulsory, you can make an absolutely delicious chicken fried rice without it, as this recipe shows. In the pandemic we need recipes without fussy, extra ingredients! Putting a delicious meal on the table when you don't have additional fancy things like sesame oil is what it's all about. Great video and excellent recipe!
I am so amazed! She cooks really good and seems to have good appetite for the foods she cook but still manage to stay so slim. I love her recipes!
It was two thirty in the afternoon and I thought to myself I am going to make your chicken fried rice, well self isolation why not. Thank you it was so awesome, my son ate three bowls of it, I ate two, so stuffed now. Zzzzzzzz snooze time.
julie mathias I have never made fried rice at home even though I love it and always buy it at restaurants. Do I just use regular white rice? My mouth is watering to fix this ☺️
Nana Lady Hi yes I just used regular white rice, I let it go cold before I placed it in a frying pan because I didn’t have a wok, it didn’t go gluggy then.
julie mathias thank you very much.
Nana Lady your very welcome, let me know how it goes
julie mathias I followed your suggestion and let my rice get cold. This dish was delicious. Will be making it often. Thanks again for responding to my questions. Have a awesome day.
THANK YOU for getting me STARTED on Chinese Cuisine! I LOVE your recipes, and appreciate that you took the time to email years ago!
Lady, I just had to write you and thank you for sharing your skills with the rest of us. I just got through making your Chicken fried rice recipe and it turned out awesome. I didn't have fresh vegetables. So I used Frozen And I only had light soy sauce But as I said, it turned out great And once again, I'd like to say, thanks. I think you're awesome. And I hope you keep up your Channel.

This has been by far the best/simple fried rice recipe that I’ve ever prepared. I made quite uh bit and there were absolutely no leftovers! So good! Thank you!
I tried your wonderful recipe and it turned out EXCELLENT! My friends loved it, they thought I got it from the restaurant and was trying to pass it off as mine. Thanks again and please share more of your delish dishes. :)
Your wok is seasoned to perfection. It's absolutely stick proof! I'll have to look to see if you posted a video in the past on seasoning.
Steve McCormick lol I was staring at that too, That thing was like glass!
Steve, she's giving perfect instructions for seasoning the wok. It's hidden in the comments to her statement concerning baking soda / baking powder.
Just made this in my beautiful Souped Up Recipes Wok which I have had for about three years now.....Delicious and easy!
You explained everything so well. Each aspect was so well thought out in how you explained each step. Thank you.
Tried this receipt tonight, turned out excellent !.. wife and I really enjoyed the rice.
also want to say that I bought the "Souped Up Recipes " Wok and it really made a difference cooking, the steel spatula fits the contour of the wok precisely which makes very easy to mix, flip and dice the food which is being cooked, worth the investment in my humble opinion.
Thanks for sharing this receipt
cheers
Thank you for the purchase. I am glad you enjoyed using it =)
Great video. Thank you. I bought a wok about 9 months ago, but hadn't seasoned it. This recipe made me season it and make this tonight. Awesome!
I tried this tonight, we loved it! I added a bit of white pepper here and there, a bit of 5 spice near the end, and plenty of MSG but aside from that it was the same. Thanks!
Made this twice now! Great treat for the family. Thank you
Best recipe I have seen so far. I love your attitude!
Thank you for watching. I am happy that you are enjoying my videos.
I have been using your recipes for 2 years now and Im never disappointed . I would love it if you could do a simple beef noddle soup recipe, Im sure you would knock it out of the park. Love your content ✨️ 💕
This has become a regular dinner for me, I love it! Thank you again for this
This looks amazing and will try it tonight for our dinner. I have tried to make fried rice many times with little satisfaction but your recipe looks oh so good! Thank you so much!
I could spend hours watching you cook! This recipe looks so delicious!
Family loved it! I didn’t add peas because I’m allergic and I used coconut aminos but it was really good!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe
