Why did you remove the dark wood branch if you intended to cast it in resin? Also, how much pressure do you apply to the curing pot? Thanks for sharing your project.
I made a bowl many years go out of solid block of elm (I think). 20 years on, it has warped all over the place (even with many layers of danish oil). Do you know if the resin stabilises the wood, or will it eventually split away from each other?

Eucalyptus are known for being brittle in the wind so I was surprised at its strength to be turned. Marvelously revealed coloring of the wood!
I just got a wood lathe and have a odd shaped branch of strawberry tree wood with a burl on. This has given me the confidence to work on it thanks

It should help for sure, but this is the first bowl I've made like this so here's hoping I'm right!
