They've sold over 580k copies. At $30/each, that's $17.4mil, and that's not including the fact that $30 is the lowest pack (highest is $480), and those numbers are *ONLY for Steam* (there's also Epic, Xbox/PS5 and Standalone)... People shouting "scam" don't realize that they don't need to scam anyone. People love GGG and PoE, and have been anticipating this for over 5 years. And this is only *HALF* of the game!
If anything D4 is a scam. 40usd I think for base game now and another 60usd for the xpack. Unless you get it on sale. Then all the microtransactions D4 has is the same amount as PoE 2, if not more. At least with PoE2 the 30usd you pay for early access also gives you 20 to 30 usd worth of points to spend on tabs and ect. So it isn't like your 30usd is just for early access. If the early access was free you would still need to spend 20usd for stash tabs if you are a new player to PoE. Edit: Oh yeah, all of Blizz main games should be free to play with all the microtransactions they put in them.
yes and it's number before the microtransaction for costumes, and 6months after the early access, the free version will be HUGE MICROTRANSACTIONS like POE1 these day. The GGG are great guy because they hear the gamers, not corporation a55hoe like D4 and other AAA studios.
You forgot to mention that the $30 to gain access (and all of the support r packs for that matter) gets you the equivalent worth of of in game currency for stash tabs or cosmetics
Yup yup. Tbf if ur gonna play this game past a couple playthroughs, u kinda need that currency to buy stash tabs. I like to call PoE a free to try game. But a one time $30 payment is miles better than whatever other games do
Well, for those of us that are actually able to play the game. Some of us have to deal with tons of system hard locks every time you try to teleport anywhere and that requires the pc to be restarted.

@Truthseeker-iz3dj you can't glass cannon in diablo if you want. Because any decent build let's you stand completely still. Gear is less relevant in poe2 because your skills and support gems do the same thing a legendary does in diablo.

The reason why people complain the map is too big is because there isn’t any value in exploring, instead they give you dead ends to back track when they should be adding loot and minibosses in edges of maps for incentive to explore instead of hoping that it isn’t another dead ends
Technically, the EA is free to play, too, but to have the right to play it you need to spend at least $30 to buy points that can be redeemed for extras like cosmetics or stash tabs.
I get what you mean, you pay 30$ and you get 30$ worth of coins on mtx store on top of EA, but I don't agree with it technically being free. You still need to pay that 30$.
Also, if you spent $480 in PoE 1, you already have access to PoE 2. But yeah, $30 gets you literally $30 worth of points to spend on stash tabs and cosmetics, so it is still technically free since anyone spending more than 20-40 hours playing will likely need them anyway

Im playing warrior to test out just how bad the clear speed and armor issues are.... it turns out a few synergies render most of those criticisms as pretty bunk. You can go full tank and you have access to AOEs and amazing single target dps via perfect strike. Honestly warrior seems grezt for a harcore playthrough as the AoE is clean and the screen isnt cluttered. In other words i tried out the worst class according to the internet and it turned out to be my favorite by far. All of its alleged insurmountable hurtles turned out to be no big deal at all.
So I've only played original Diablo in the 90s. I have never been a fan of these kinds of games but poe2 is an absolute blast. I can't stop playing it and when I'm working I can't wait yo come home and play.

I think poe2 is excellent. Game has some issues but the game is also EA. Its just so polished that it gets hammered with criticism like it's a full release title.
Making a level 28-34 character with good gear joining public games to help kill bosses in Act 2 is incredible. The Bosses are fun, and with a group the loot rewards are pretty significant for that level and they have enough health where they are stil engaging. Helping newer players get through Act2 normal is reminiscent of old school 2013 PoE1 doing group ledge runs, docks, or crypt runs or w/e for xp.
im shocked to see someone beat the game with a merc, either i have a bad bug or it just is terrible on console but im hating this class, my arrows jam constantly and my dodge roll keeps canceling my reload, rogue seems to be 100x better same arrow types none of the reload bs
My main gripe with the game is loot and crafting. It's so lackluster that im just going to wait til they patch the game. Idk how players wont get burnt out doing hours of grinding only to roll trash gear. I dont like the idea of being forced to trade with other players for better gear: kinda defeats the purpose of completing harder content for better loot. At least have an auction house. It is a great game otherwise, but loot is a central mechanic. I can get rare drops all day with +80% rarity chance, but i guess how the affixes are handled, i always get trash that has things not applicable to my class. I wish they designated armor and weapons to have designated affix rolls, or atleast higher/lower chances. What i mean is to have a named armor for each hybrid class, so that if i want intel rolls, w no accuracy, i can roll that. Or there can be sceptre type with minion affixes, and another w spell affixes. The result is im lvl 55 using some gear lvl 14 bc i cant force specific rolls. Very demotivating. Makes it seem more efficient to start new games and rush through levels to re-roll the vendors for gear - which's dumb. Higher level gear needs to be noticeably more powerful / higher rolls, not just the base stat. I could care less about +50 armor if my low lvl item has a ton of high DPS affixes. Also terrible: using essences only to get the lowest minimum rolls. With such a rare item: at least make the roll mediocore - bc or else it makes these extremely rare crafting materials feel absolutely worthless. I got a "+5 max mana" on a lvl 51 item: that's ludicrous. Let's do 300% of that, 15 mana, and that's still negligible. I'd say 50 mana, which would be 1,000% of 5, would still be mediocore at lvl 51. I doubt that's working as intended...
The economy is literally one of the core pillars of the game. If you don't want to interact with the economy, that's fine. But you also need to recognize that your experience is going to be lessened because of your choice. You can use the currency exchange to find different currency items, but actual items have to be traded person to person. It's a core tenant of the game. Auction houses, like what you're suggesting, have never been good for the longevity of an ARPG historically.
You ranted saying you dont want to trade but want an AH You ranted about itemisation when the LITTEARLY DO have hybrid armour sets for different things. What you mean is "i dont like accuracy rolling on my rings and armor" great well casters are not the only guys in the world Higher level gear can and does have higher rolls - you just dont like its not guarrenteed Slam some currency and get some upgrades The amount of "holy shit i just Id this item" in global chat is crazy right now - the gear exisists - they made mods so much better on items and you want items that can ONLY roll what you want - aahahahaha the game is beaten in a week and not fun
I am also curious how auction houses aren't good for longevity? I feel p2p trading is a lot more annoying and ppl are getting scammed. Doesn't WoW have an auction house: and how long has that game been popular?
This game does exactly what I was expecting from D4. I beat that game 6 months ago and couldn't remember a single boss fight. Such a monotonous uninspired clicker. PoE2 on the other hand is outstandingly awesome
At first I was sad but luckily shadow survived because he took off his inhibitor rings that was in the post post credit scenes I hope eggman survived I feel bad for him he’s just broken not pure evil 😢
@@bigsherpa btw i cant seem to make a new thread, so i like to point out. Raise shield is not block. Block is a passive systerm, and raise shield is a different feature. And we get both insted of either or.
Games got some issues, but it's EA for a reason and it's obviously going to eventually be the best arpg ever made. All the hate it's getting is disingenuous nonsense by blizzard apologists
We all know who left those reviews lol D4 players are so jealous that many played the game and found it harder than just yawning and clicking the same button and immediately went to reddit to complain. Its not hard to give the game praise.
A 10/10 doesn't mean the "perfect" game. There is no perfect game. Even my favorite 10/10's of all time I can find issues with in one way or another. Also, we are talking about the EA lol. I said 10/10 EA. Definitely the best EA I've done.
Don't forget to remind people about them micro transactions. You gotta pay for them stash tabs. Gotta pay for your extra inventory space. Cause that's cool. Right?
@bigsherpa Yes. That's a accomplishment. Nobody can argue with that. But the devs still found a way to sucker it's customers, by buying something that was suppose to be already in the game. This is a small reason as why this game isn't better than Diablo.
Not sure how I feel about this take yet. I mean, the game IS going to be F2P. I don't mind really so far, and like I said it hasn't even become a need for me and I'm hundreds of hours in
I've heard legitimate concerns, and for a game like this the end game is hugely important. All I can say is by the time this video was posted I had about 100 hours and that was just one full playthrough on normal while trying a few different classes. 100+ hours for early access is absolutely absurdly good imo. If it takes me that long to even get to the end game, I feel great as an average player that isn't a die hard ARPG guy. Plus, I'm sure they will address all of these concerns by the full release - it's pretty much the only negative stuff I've been hearing tbh
I like path of exile 2, but it's not blowing me away. This game needs a ton of work. Tons of broken builds, graphical bugs, broken microtransaction prices, and the loot needs alot of love.
But if it was easy and you finished every map already, would you still be interested in playing? I’ve been playing POE1 since it came out on PS4 and I never beat the final bosses. I tried every season. If I had I would have been done with it. You know how long it took me to get every achievement in a D3 season? 2 weeks. Like 40 hours. And then I didn’t have a single reason to play anymore. I don’t want that. Stop asking for an easy game, farm more gear and try new skills.
The honeymoon phase is over. The more I play PoE2, the more I realize it’s essentially the same as D4. PoE2 just takes a more convoluted path to the same goal: creating a powerful build to annihilate enemies. I mainly play a caster, and I’ve noticed that several builds in PoE2 are nearly identical to those of the Sorceress in D4. For instance, Ember Fusillade + Firewall = Flameweaver, Ball Lightning = Ball Lightning, and the Comet build = Meteorite build. On that note, I've also noticed Ice abilities in PoE2 feel overpowered, dealing significantly more damage than other types with minimal investment. The only thing that truly sets PoE2 apart from D4 are the boss fights. Beyond that, Early Access feels like whatever at this point. PoE2 is less polished-Act 3 was a graphical nightmare, with atrocious screen tearing. Movement on a controller feels clunky and janky; while you can get used to it, it’s nowhere near as smooth as D4. I could seriously go on and on, but you get the point. It’s going to take a lot of updates for PoE2 to feel worth the time investment, especially when it ultimately boils down to doing the same things as D4.
So much better that you can only craft with RNG. So much better that you HAVE to play broken meta to play in trade league. They totally learned for 10 years of mistakes, my guy...
New players who knew nothing of PoE1, and casuals who only play once in a while, and streamers or nolifers 24/7 in PoE1, these are the people that will praise PoE2 to the moon. The others knew too well what the problems of PoE1 are for them, and it still exists in PoE2.
I guess if your brain is rotted from modern technology and engagement. Those of us who's dopamine receptors are still intact... don't have this problem.
you do the campaign once every 3 months, poe2 campaign is epic, the end-game is the bad part, but guess what , its all poe 1 content. i hope GGG stick to what they said and make a real ''souls-like'' arpg.
Diablo 4 campaign was brutal to get through. And walking around is one of the core components of an Arpg. It is possible to set your standards too high, You'd be mad too if the maps were set up in a straight line. If you don't like the game it's understandable. But map size isn't really a good complaint. Explore the map, kill the mobs, kill the boss is an ARPG at its core.
all you forgot that in diablo 4 you *never* have to play the campaign and just skip it. Plus diablo maps are way smaller and you have movement abilities. Leveling and mapping in diablo way more enjoyable for me than in poe 1 and 2. Not everyone has hours everyday to work on poe. It’s a game at the end of the day and should be fun and relaxing.
Please explain which microtransactions are supposed to help you progress 😂 This is the same as PoE1, the only microtransactions are cosmetics (which in no way affect gameplay), and extra stash tabs (which are just there for extra convenience as they alllow you to hoard stuff).

@@khrishp AH sure as hill, was not good for d3.
You ranted saying you dont want to trade but want an AH
You ranted about itemisation when the LITTEARLY DO have hybrid armour sets for different things.
What you mean is "i dont like accuracy rolling on my rings and armor" great well casters are not the only guys in the world
Higher level gear can and does have higher rolls - you just dont like its not guarrenteed
Slam some currency and get some upgrades
The amount of "holy shit i just Id this item" in global chat is crazy right now - the gear exisists - they made mods so much better on items and you want items that can ONLY roll what you want - aahahahaha the game is beaten in a week and not fun
I am also curious how auction houses aren't good for longevity? I feel p2p trading is a lot more annoying and ppl are getting scammed. Doesn't WoW have an auction house: and how long has that game been popular?
@@will.roman-ros items in wow are soulbound you cant sell gear that equals player power.
Interesting thoughts on the game. I agree pretty much with everything you said
Totally play it through the end and do the uber bosses (if you can)
8:33 Great analogy 🤣
I like titanquest , is this game similar ?
So do I. Yes it is.
Finally, the true Diablo 3 is here ✋🙂↕️🤚
This is the true successor to Diablo 2.
Im school player too and i addicted to POE 2
They are not even close to indie dev. Company is owned and financed by Tencent
Still sucks that MTX won't work on crossplay between PC and PS5
Blame Sony.
Yeah that’s 100% Sony’s issue not GGG
This game does exactly what I was expecting from D4. I beat that game 6 months ago and couldn't remember a single boss fight. Such a monotonous uninspired clicker. PoE2 on the other hand is outstandingly awesome
Why hasn’t anyone made a souls like with Diablo style loot and multiplayer systems
It’s just 30$ worth or in game items that you would need to eventually get if you are really die hard
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 try FF rebirth bro …. TRY. It . That’s the other one that’s up there with Wu and this
Playthrough on my channel.
Review on sonic 3? My reply will be spoilers so do NOT view if you haven’t seen the movie
At first I was sad but luckily shadow survived because he took off his inhibitor rings that was in the post post credit scenes I hope eggman survived I feel bad for him he’s just broken not pure evil 😢
Vs d2r vs grim dawn?
So Tempted to buy the ea
POE 2 better than all those imo. I think you'll like this. Especially if you liked D2 and D2R
@bigsherpa why not both GD and poe2?
@@bigsherpa btw i cant seem to make a new thread, so i like to point out.
Raise shield is not block. Block is a passive systerm, and raise shield is a different feature. And we get both insted of either or.
this game looks amazing.
Currently game crashes quite a bit
Based on your server
You got my sub my friend just telling it like it is.
wtf you played d4 but not poe 1? ahhaahha
You actually have it backwards lol. I did POE 1 more than D4. I said in the video that I've tried POE 1.....
POE1 has existed for more than a decade now and it has never become a Pay-to-Win ever. so yeah, i would bet my balls this wont be pay to win. EVER.
congrats, your life is over. this game will consume your time like no other and its not even finished. :D GGG does not disappoint
Poe 2 pay to win? Lmao, obviously whoever said that never play poe
16:30 "im giving it a 10/10"
"...now it wasn't perpect.."
bruh
A 10/10 doesn't mean the "perfect" game. There is no perfect game. Even my favorite 10/10's of all time I can find issues with in one way or another.
Also, we are talking about the EA lol. I said 10/10 EA. Definitely the best EA I've done.
still in the honeymoon phase, I see.
Don't forget to remind people about them micro transactions. You gotta pay for them stash tabs. Gotta pay for your extra inventory space. Cause that's cool. Right?
200 hours in, haven't even needed a single extra stash tab lol didn't even know it was a thing. Pretty cool right!?
@bigsherpa Yes. That's a accomplishment. Nobody can argue with that. But the devs still found a way to sucker it's customers, by buying something that was suppose to be already in the game. This is a small reason as why this game isn't better than Diablo.
Not sure how I feel about this take yet. I mean, the game IS going to be F2P. I don't mind really so far, and like I said it hasn't even become a need for me and I'm hundreds of hours in
So I take it you like this game lol
My only complaint is with the lava "timer" in the Molten Vault.
Why? I think it's a nice change of pace and a good way to show what DPS you should have at this point. Unless you are playing a warrior...
@@Greamzih whats the problem with warroir? Unless you are using shield..😅
oh boy, I hope he doesn't get to endgame
It's fine ggg will fix it by the end of January.
@@bigsherpaThere is plenty of time to fix the end game. And they seem to listen to the players. Compared to D4, where blizz dont listen to feedback.
they will fix these concerns wayyyy before full release. GGG listens and makes updates extremely quickly
It be nice if they added emotes lol. Very small and stupid but can be fun as hell even with friends
Agreed. Could be a nice addition
Wow you are glazing so hard over POE 2 lol. I totally agree with everything you said though i love the game.
I like path of exile 2, but it's not blowing me away. This game needs a ton of work. Tons of broken builds, graphical bugs, broken microtransaction prices, and the loot needs alot of love.
endgame maps punishment is not worth it, uninstalled
But if it was easy and you finished every map already, would you still be interested in playing? I’ve been playing POE1 since it came out on PS4 and I never beat the final bosses. I tried every season. If I had I would have been done with it. You know how long it took me to get every achievement in a D3 season? 2 weeks. Like 40 hours. And then I didn’t have a single reason to play anymore. I don’t want that. Stop asking for an easy game, farm more gear and try new skills.
Thanks for donating $30 to my favorite developer!
game is good, but for me personally the optimalization is absolute dogshit and I get ping spikes like all the time so...
Hardcore is great on poe
So much better that you can only craft with RNG. So much better that you HAVE to play broken meta to play in trade league.
They totally learned for 10 years of mistakes, my guy...
New players who knew nothing of PoE1, and casuals who only play once in a while, and streamers or nolifers 24/7 in PoE1, these are the people that will praise PoE2 to the moon. The others knew too well what the problems of PoE1 are for them, and it still exists in PoE2.
Poe2 is very good, but the maps are way too big, and it is hard to find quest markers
The endgame is garbage already went back to d2 lol
Yeah it's a lot better uninstalled
No it's not "simply better". All the fucking walking and the long ass campaign kills the fun
That's been mostly fixed if you haven't played in a while. They added waypoints to the checkpoints in the regions.
It’s a game at the end of the day and should be fun and relaxing.
the progression of this game is bad. Probably the real reason is for players to spend more on MTX!
That makes no sense. You can’t buy anything that helps you progress.
Please explain which microtransactions are supposed to help you progress 😂 This is the same as PoE1, the only microtransactions are cosmetics (which in no way affect gameplay), and extra stash tabs (which are just there for extra convenience as they alllow you to hoard stuff).
Just wanna mention (not an ad or anything. Just wanna help gamers find more games) Try v rising for less complicated but similar combat and isometric. Buy to play, single player/multiplayer, still in ea but a very good game. Pvp combat is so good too and skill based. Just no less playerw cz no advertisement. TRY!!
Crafting/trading and endgame suck ass but besides that great game
