    My favorite mechanic is enemies with post-death explosions, especially on bosses so that once you let your guard down you just die and lose all the loot on the floor.

      The 1 death penalty is horrible. Poe had 6 deaths and I never saw anyone ever complain about it. Literally just GGG making an issue where there never was one. They want to make their game like darksouls when it's not the same genre. You can't make a game based on dodge roll when half of the maps are tight corridors where you can't even dodge roll when mobs are surrounding you. Even the character size nerf didn't solve this. I've died countless times to breach and ritual because of this. It feels horrible to lose those side content, the way stone, and my experience because of bad game design.

    Me too, and I find it really funny that having no on-death effects would make it the single most unique ARPG out there, because every single ARPG is full of them, and I don't even know why, nobody likes them.

      @@eclipse369.not quite right, cold and fire enchanted monsters can cast frost nova and corpse explosion respectively. CE on a very high hp monster can be quite lethal.

    My favorite is getting killed by lightning death explosions with graphics that look nearly identical to all my own lighting graphics.

      YES I really wish that enemy lightning effects were like red or yellow or literally anything else this is another decision I feel like is meant to be "immersive" but just ends up being confusing.

    POE2 is like
    - good loot on the ground if you are lucky
    - good crafting if you are lucky
    - good (map) content if you are lucky
    - good skill upgrades if you are lucky
    I like the game, I have 100 hours in it, but the luck based gaming is getting annoying real fast

      @@GermanWeaselZA, so far, they haven't transferred any crafting leagues (unless you count essences, but that's not serious crafting). I think the developers want complete beginners to understand such primitive crafting as it is now, and then they will gradually add new types.

    My problem with the new crafting (at least before maps) is that I feel I have no agency over the outcomes. I just get bases, transmute and alter, toss, repeat. That's not crafting, it's gambling.

      I don’t even bother crafting. I just grind currency and trade for all my equipment upgrades. It’s 1000x less stressful that way

      The randomness does keep the in game economy more interesting.
      Kinda dumb when everyone just has the same gear. Might aswell just play Diablo 2

    POE 2 has no crafting, its a slot machine. I put the currency in, and see the trash come out.

      With a slew of crafting options incoming from the first game. With amulet anointing. With essence crafting. Deterministic options like the crafting bench are incoming.

      @@Pezby69 pre-release is 1/3 of the game. It was for die hards to play it and pick it apart. GGG only wanted to see how the mechanics played out and what people hated.
      We are not even seeing all the monsters or items or what can be crafted just a taste. They made this VERY clear

      Yeh i really like the Last Epoch crafting system. it really lets you control what you want with some RNG but at least you have an idea of what might come out

      I love POE but man POE 2 was the game that broke the camels back for me and had me asking myself why tf am I playing this, do I hate myself that bad?
      So I'm just going to wait until the game is polished a bit more. Things being hard for the sake of being hard at 30 years old when I have a lot of other stuff to do is not fun at all.

      When you start doing stuff besides gaming all day you'll get it.

    Poison on the ground tilts me. For whatever reason, I cannot see it 90% of the time cause it blends into the ground.

      I'm convinced that all the black and red poison pools emit a frequency of infrared that only GGG staff can see.

      it does not add forgiveness that those groundeffects are overtuned as a whole. Area has patches of burning ground. No shit, dodgerolling thru it I take 150 dmg with max res, so that is 600 base damage in about 1.5 seconds so we are looking at 400 dps from a ground effect that is all over the map in a game without % health scaling.

      There are some floor models that literally mask all the on-ground telegraphs because of grass or something else rendered on top of the technical "ground level"

      nothing like the last boss of the trial (scorpion) bugs himself behind gate and you get 10 honour reentering the fcking trials that are 0 fun to do.

      The crit stuff needs to be changed/rephrased to make it really obvious whats really going on there. Literally all my friends who jumped in on this launch, new to the games, needed to be explained that 20% increased chance to crit does not give you an actual 20% chance to crit, and the stat giving a seemingly pathetic 2.3% chance to crit is amazing because it applies directly on the base chance that all the %increases builds on. As someone who understand the system I think it's fine, but it's a problem.

      Don't stress for maps, just upgrade them to at least rares. You can buy tier 1 maps with gold and spam them with currency to get max rarity on them like that doing these maps you can farm currency. It is possible to have up to 149% rarity just from the waystone, if you top more with gear you are on the horse. Think of having at least two sets of gear for farming, one with max rarity for low tier maps and one for late game maps.

    I completely agree with you on the On Death. You can tell it sucks at the beginning of the game when the manor is the worst experience of the act since every enemy turns into a puddle of damaging crap when they die. The whole section is miserable to play and that's before they even begin killing you out of nowhere.
    If they wanted the game to be paced slower they shouldn't have made builds in POE2 capable of POE1 clear speeds. This game is absolutely packed with painful solutions to man made problems or solutions to problems that don't exist that just add unnecessary friction.

    one more thing would be mana drain enemies. it drains SO fast, the range is huge AND every mana drain enemy ive encountered so far was SO FAST, impossible to get away from. just basic attack while standing. who dies first...

      Also the game doesn't tell you that the drain effect only happens at the edges. The graphic could be a bit more telling. I had no idea there was counterplay until I went to the forums.

      the 2 storm caller birds thingy mini boss pissed me the hell off. One drains mana forcing you to stay inside circle while the other one shoots electric and pounds you to death. Mobs move TOO damn fast too.

    A lot of stuff I did not like about the first game like (on death effects, one shot deaths, gambling crafting, map tiers 1-12 dont drop anything, good loot does not drop but has to be crafted, melee classes are weak in comparison to magic and ranged, painful trading)has made its way to the second game, which is sad.

    I was actually using more currency in PoE on the bench craft. I tend not to use currency in PoE 2 because it's just gambling. In PoE 2, 9 times out ten you're just trashing the stuff you gambled on, just diminishing returns.

      Same, I use to craft even during the campaign. Poe2, much longer campaign with zero incentive to craft. You’re better off trading for the low level gear than try to rng something.

      I play SSF so im trashing 99/100 items i craft. Ive done 40+ maps now and i've got 1 upgrade so far since campaign. Coins doesn't drop so can't even do the third ascendancy.

      @@zerherdal8518 See, that's the reveal that it's not crafting. Crafting as PoE 1 did it was a currency sink and way to get what you WANT deterministically without needing trade. Hell, look at Last Epoch's craft system, which can't even get you maxed stats. (So there is always chase items to hunt for, that's why those ranks of stats exist.) In either, when you need a stat, you can craft it, it won't be the most powerful possible, but you can do it without need for trade.
      PoE 2 right now has no crafting system.

    I love all of the complex build mechanics in PoE, like “100% crit chance against blinded enemies” as it makes build crafting more interesting and gives you powerful tools to make things work.
    That being said, the stat screens in PoE have always been insufficient. The game should display an extra line reflecting my crit chance against blinded enemies.
    This is essentially why PoB was created, I am not personally a fan of opening up PoB until I feel like my build is hitting a wall because PoB makes you think your build is stronger than it is.
    A lot of people get hung up on eHP numbers which can be deceptive. The best defense in PoE imo is freeze/chill, movement speed and the ability to chain monster explosions from a distance.

    Dodgeroll feels like ass. You have a huge animation lock afterwards. It's stupidly slow.

      Same got to act 1 cruel realized the fun hasn't hit me and I would eventually have to do a even more tedious act 3 and just quit.
      Will return on release. I think the game is good but if they don't change their "Vision" the games gonna die as people won't return for seasons. Hopefully full release changes things for the better.

      Think you just need to grind and build a gigachad of whatever character instead of crying when it isn’t going your way like how it would in PoE 1 while bitching about a game that’s for all intents and purposes in early beta access really shows how they spoiled the living hell out of you, makes it seem like you prefer the easier game which is still open for you to return to at any point

    - on death effects stupid
    - rare mobs with corpse explosion skill (ridiculous same thing you have no idea to tell you are dead before you realized the monster blew up few corpses around you and on shotted you)
    - blood pools or whatever the shit and poison sometimes not visible cause too many corpses around and you die before you realized what happened..
    - crafting is bad feels like RNG casino
    - white mobs being harder than map bosses ...
    - constant stunlocked or "interrupted by ranged or jumping creatures" not fun
    - some animations are dumb flicker strike the first second which is like lean back that thing killed me more than any rares :P
    - ascension system for those dumb dungeon mechanics as melee.. they should be just for loot not for points.

    Crafting in POE 2 blows, plain and simple. I loath this alts replaced with bases...just give us alts and scourers back for f*s sake. And Runes should be swappable, given how gamba crafting is now, destroying/selling a solid piece of gear b/c you're over res cap with an old rune and not being able to swap is miserable. A LOT of dumb decisions. Enjoying the game, but the move to gamba and tossing gear like alts is just a really bad call

    "Tug of War" is probably the best description of what is constantly happening between GGG and the players. It feels like whenever a good player figures out something using everything knew about the game along with whatever he learns while playing and then he uses this knowledge to steamroll through it, GGG takes that as a stab to their pride and intelligence and instantly nerf whatever mechanic the player is taking advantage of.
    It's like playing a tabletop RPG with the DM playing as an opponent rather than a storyteller/referee, of course you can tell who's "winning" in this situation. Or that kid that brings his own ball to the field to play with the kids there but the moment he starts losing or has the ball swiped from him more than he can tolerate he just takes the ball and leave. So now all the kids have to slow down and "lose" the ball for him to score so they'd continue playing.

      There has to be a balance though. Even now already in POE 2 you can look and see how the majority of players are just playing stormweaver now because it's been figured out that it's broken. You can just stack infinite energy shield and magic find gear and just clear maps with spark before the monsters are even on screen. In my opnion, it takes away from the game because it sort of trivializes the content and you feel pressured into having to play the broken builds to be able to keep up. So the devs kind of either have to nerf the build to bring it back into alignment with the game's content or they have to buff the game up to meet the build. The latter doesn't really make sense, because it would punish all of the not broken builds. So therefore they nerf the broken builds to keep the game engaging. I get that it's annoying toi have your build nerfed, but I don't really think you want them to just let them off the leash and the entire game just devolves into you just being AFK while your build just demolishes all of the content without requiring any input.

    try doing rituals in maps, absolute garbage placement , getting stunlocked in a really small area while a tornado is chasing u while u are standing in a blood swamp , perfect gameplay design

    There is no crafting in PoE2, there is ID with extra steps, honestly I was expecting a very diff video with this title but was pleasantly surprised, I agree with almost everything you said. I actually like the big zones, but the backtracking MUST be ironed out, like IRONED out.

      "ID with extra steps" This is the best description of what POE2 has right now labeled as "crafting". For every character at very stage of the game you do the same thing. Good base > apply bunch of orbs > if you get luck you have the same item you already have, but with slightly better stats.

    They want to make it new player friendly, give us a training ground with dummies that can accurately see our DPS, give us better tutorials for endgame mapping, crafting, league mechanics, give us bossing simulators that allows us to practice on endgame bosses, give us better tooltipc, dumb down the defensive stats (evasion is still based on entropy, armor is still weak/useless in general, dot, aoe, slams, ground effect works differently with defense mechanic, wth is that?)

    The convoluted statistics aspect really grinds my gears (pun intended). There is NO reason for stats to be this complicated. TELL ME WHAT THE NUMBERS DO. Things like % armor should be a simple percentage reduction. Not a reduction BUT OH WAIT less reduction on higher damage.
    The devs are high.

      The problem with flat % reductions is that you can't give meaningful amounts of them early on (because then there is no reason to upgrade), so the stat becomes useless until late game. You can combat it in various ways, but tying the effectiveness to incoming damage is pretty elegant in my opinion.

      @@Reashu I'd argue that it is very inelegant. When do you need armor the most? When you get hit hard. When does armor in PoE and PoE2 help you the least? When you need it most. I'd far rather have a flat % that varies based on my level. That way, hey, I need 10x as much armor at level X than I did at X/2. But instead, we have a system where armor users are double penalized as mob level goes up. Not only does the mob hit, say, 10% harder, but now their armor is less effective, meaning they're taking 15% more damage, rather than just the 10% more everyone else is.
      As it is, look at what people are doing to try and make the system work. You have people trying to boost their hp pools by picking other classes rather than warrior for mace, because hp scaling is lacking on the tree. You see people wearing a robe because it converts 40% of the damage to fire, which they can resist by up to 90%, and that, coupled with taking that 40% off the top, is more damage reduction than armor provides.
      It was a dumb system in PoE. It is still a dumb system in PoE2.

    You will get the " ...well this is early access" reply. There are core system issues that does not spell a full release in 6 months or a year. The loot system is broken and just not fun, with 6 more classea to come. The best way to gear up is to go to a website. I didnt play POE1, don't really care about how it was done there. I very much enjoy the game, but I don't know if I'll be playing deep into end game. Much like D4.
    Also dodge roll with no I frames is NOT souls like.

    0:28 one thing that’s pretty frustrating is that I have to try an figure out the difference between increased fire damage, adds extra fire damage, increased elemental damage, decreased fire resistance, penetrates fire resistance, increased damage, increased spell damage, damage from hits, and try to figure out which one of those is just going to make my character do more damage

    there's a group of node that increase frozen threshold by about 200%ish. I actually took it because like you i also hate being frozen.
    but then again, i am running a semi self-found monk and i normally survive being frozen in around tier 10 maps purely on high evasion. So it's not as instant death sentence as you make it out to be. Oh you can flask while frozen too.
    People need to start taking defensive nodes like increase stun/frozen threshold though *maybe they can buff it even more as a more reliable defensive layer. Hopefully it can be a general push away from glass cannon builds.

    My main issue is that I just simply can't see what's going on. I die soooo much just due to not being able to see an aoe, or where the boss even is, simply due to the overwhelming spell effects in multiplayer.

    Great video, would be hard to argue against any of your points.
    My 2 favorite deaths for me so far: I clear a frozen shrine from a safe distance and don't see any mobs for a few seconds, and proceed to go grab it. Shrines freezes me and 2 white mobs show up and auto attack me once and i lose the map.
    2nd: proximal tangibility rare, so I'm next him using a flame strike. Joke's on me though, he's doing the same thing and i just thought it was mine.
    Then the next 100 most fun deaths are white mobs killing me with what i assume was chaos damage.

    As a newer PoE1 player (Started in TotA) I was really disappointed to find that PoE2 was throwing two of what I thought were the most interesting mechanics in vendor recipes and gems being slotted onto your armour and that they were being replaced with gold which feels underwhelming and uninspired and a pair of menus, one of which is just a D4 skill tree without drawing the lines between skill nodes.
    I feel like you nailed it when you talked about what is actually confusing:
    "Sell certain item combos to vendors to get back cool results, maybe even unique items" - This is great, a fun idea that makes me want to put random things into a vendor window and play around with it. They should've expanded on it by thinking about how to let new players find different recipes instead of being forced to go look up a list on the wiki.
    "It's 50% more damage not 50% increased damage so it's not actually 50% extra damage" or another one that has always annoyed me "Poison damage is chaos over time but not all chaos over time is poison so the mods to scale these things only work in one direction " - Complexity for complexity sake that doesn't add anything. if someone is wasting away from a chaos based ailment make it always poison, if someone is taking fire damage over time it should always be because they're on fire.

    Crafting in PoE1 when I first played it was just overwhelming. It was not complex but more so I realized that there were just a lot of ways to craft but once you learned what you can do with them i actually crafted as much as I could rather than rely solely on the trade site.
    The crafting changes in PoE 2 seems like an oversight. I feel like GGG wanted more players to join the community and just listened to the echo chamber of people looking at the crafting and currency and calling it hard when those spectators never actually tried it.
    it was the equivalent of the whole meme of when people screenshot the poe1 passive tree with an :O emoji and quit because hard.
    Also, I remember them saying on the reveal stream that they wanted to make gear drops good by making it so you can craft on a piece enough to make it viable.
    I was like ok great! they found a new way to do this.
    in reality the reason you want to pick up gear is to HOPEFULLY hit an affix you want with an Augment orb. If you don't then you have to either buy a base or find one on the ground again.
    that isn't engaging that's a chore.

    22:31 I started POE 1 during Synthesis League. I could never wrap my head around crafting, so I would just blast and get currency to trade for the gear I wanted.
    I have been appreciating the more simple POE 2 crafting. I can kind of understand it, and now next POE 1 league I intend to play SSF in order to try and work out the crafting over there.

    I’ll be honest I don’t get the „the game is slower and more methodical“. Yeah, maybe that’s true for the first act or so, but as soon as your build slowly comes online in act 2, it honestly feels like most other ARPGs, you’re just an avatar of destruction, annihilating screens worths of enemies at a time. And death usually only comes in the form of cheap one shot kills from unsuspecting projectiles that are simply invisible in all the fireworks. Or some other form of bullshit (looking at you tribute altars). So while the early game feels fresh, from act 3 normal onwards it feels like any other ARPG. I’d praise the bosses, but even they die so quickly you don’t even have to play their mechanics much at all. And this is all on a 100% homebrew build from a complete PoE noob.

    A lot of great points, thanks for the video. I gave up and had to find a video to figure out what to do with that damn heart after I ran around for 20 minutes! I also really liked your point that loot on the ground can be goo, "If you make it good!" They didn't make it good. 🤣 The other thing about the zoomed in to far, is that all kinds of shit off screens you. I have died more to off screen barrages from a group of archers or porcupines than anything else. Really needs to be zoomed out a little.

    I very casually played poe 1 and am waiting for the full launch on 2.
    You're spot on on many aspects designers put front and center of how games pan out.
    GGG have done an incredible job already and their willingness to consider feedback is encouraging. Their shift towards a more tactical engagement with the game by including a dodge and making bosses extra spicy I think is a great direction.
    But I'm fully with you, there are several aspects that are still very crude, and while pushing for harder challenges can work to great effect (which it has) the closer you push players to that edge the more careful you have to be it doesn't tip over into unfair and helpless territory.
    From software are a masterclass at this. Hopefully GGG can rise to this challenge and find the sweet spot which retains their overarching vision, accommodate their hardcore and be welcoming to new players

    for items you can choose 1 of suffixes, let's is life: you choose this and use maps to try and get as a higher rank possible. this way you linearize maps from1 to 16 with the character grow.
    to continue my exaple, with life: now you have tier2 life. you do a tier 3 map, have choosen the life suffix/preffix(i dont remeber what was) and if you complete it without dying you get that tier 3 life on your item

      This is true but the issue is when you get frozen or stunlocked and you get a slam mob nearby that can one shot you because you couldnt move out of the way, making the flasks useless.

    Technically there is Shift hover on passive nodes to see the increase. But that seems to be buggy as hell. I got all fire skills (magma orb. living bomb, firestorm, flamewall...), i shift hover over a "+12% to fire damage' and it says 'no skills affected'. Like wtf.

    24:40 While this doesn't change the point you are trying to make (which I only partially agree with) I would like to point out that by holding down Alt you can mouse over the underlined text to open an additional explanation related to the highlited keyword (in the case of the example used at the timestamp it would be of "magniute" or "shock").
    The explanation can also be pinned with the dedicated button in the top right of the popup or by alt+clicking the keyword.

    I love having my inventory full with bases and crafting currency while doing maps and stopping every few seconds to craft mid map! It's just much more engaging that way! Sure beats having to spam those pesky alteration orbs.

    I agree with everything in this video, and would like to add one more. Experienced POE1 players blew past the campaign, so they literally don't see this as a problem, but newcomers are getting stuck in acts 1, 2 AND 3 being unable to get gear capable of moving them along. I know this doesn't sound like a problem, but it is. There *should* be some kind of level/zone appropriate gear set that contains minimum specs to get people through to the other side. I.E. "Rusty Armor" set for tier 1, "Advanced Armor" for tier 2, whatever. Just SOME Kind of basline stuff. My first two characters just didn't have any decent drops, and I burned every orb I got trying to make more, and fundamentally got stuck until I made a sorceress, blew through everything and could just farm up gear for everyone else to get them past the humps. If you give new players THAT much resistance and leave everything to RNG, it doesn't give a new players much "hope" that they'll be able to progress in the long term.

      so they won't be able to progress if they have difficulty at the easiest stages. Or you have to constantly give them things.
      In the campaign, you don't have to worry about resisters at all. Just look for good weapons (1 I got from loot, 2 I bought from a vendor, 1 I bought from a player for next to nothing).
      There is a trade in the game, where you can get the necessary things in minutes and cheaply. Don't want to use it? Ok, your right, but then why complain?

    Not only do the the ghosts that disappear freeze you for like 5 seconds, but they also do it extremely fast and from stealth and off screen!

    Agreed, the on death effects, both the pools and explosions are terrible, especially with short loot allocation and remnants, the loot ends allocation before the death effects end, and the remnants go away before the death effects end. Most of the death effects are practically invisible, and all of them feel cheap.
    A large number of my deaths are from trying to grab loot in a party before the allocation ends and a functionally invisible on death effect gets me, or I am typing to party/guild to celebrate a victory, and dead.

    I agree with so much of this! POE and POE 2 are Rube Goldberg machine games in my opinion. I love them, but sometimes it feels like certain design choices are overindulgent on the part of the developers. Certain things are complicated just for the sake of being complicated. I'm not sure how I feel about the crafting, though. I don't want crafting to be TOO big, because it would subtract from the excitement of finding good gear. But in SSF it's way too difficult to get good gear in POE 2. I don't know what the solution is.

    The player character getting staggered on bigger hits with the player completely losing control for a moment, is important to methodical action games like Monster Hunter or Dark Souls. Because without that, the player would go through them constantly thinking "is this enemy weak enough to just win by trading hits?" POE2 certainly draws a lot of inspiration from those games. Being able to turn that mechanic off by investing in stun resistance at the cost of not being able to put those same skill points/item affixes into more damage, is probably fine too.
    But it doesn't work when you're expected to fight 10+ monsters at once most of the time. All it accomplishes now is to add stun resistance to a checklist of things a build has to get. That's not very interesting, especially when that checklist is already very long.
    (Side note just because I know someone will bring this up: Yes I know trading hits in something like Dark Souls 3/Elden Ring is possible. But it requires matching the timing of both swings so that things do stay methodical. As for Dark Souls 1, heavy armor poise in that was very OP so admittedly not the best example of this approach.)

    I think on death effects can work if they were a ounce more creative, none of the explosion or gas stuff but something like buffing nearby enemies on death or something making you prioritize other targets, saving them for last if possible but not instant death for failing to notice.

    There are actually only maybe 5 mobs with on-death effects, and only one is a huge explosion (the bloaty guys). I think most people are dying to spells which were cast and don't disappear when the mob dies, meaning they would've hit the player either way.
    Regardless, imo on-death effects are actually better in a slower game. They become annoying when you're just blasting through packs and not paying attention, but when you're taking the fights slower then they are very clear and predictable ways to make players reposition and pick targets better. They are probably the most well-telegraphed and predictable enemy abilities in the game, and they make fights more dynamic. I found that I liked them a lot more when my build was worse, and now that I'm blasting, they annoy me more.

      poe 2 isnt slower unless you are still in early campaign, poe2 is poe 1 without dash skills, thats all.

    Dolls, with their on death explosions were great. They forced you to either play differently, or take the risk. The part I did agree with though is the wait, the dolls explosions were quick, so they didn't slow things down if you could kill them safely.

    By itself…I don’t have an issue with players having an issue with being frozen…but I don’t feel like the player character should be able to instill any status effect that also happen to them.

    Well it doesnt really work on magnitude stuff but on other(like damage) nodes you can press shift to see more.

    An auction house would have prevented the crazy currency price imo...cause everyone could have a say. Most people don't go to a third party website while playing a game...than it leaves them stock needs to destroy the fun ...btw I MF and I'm new to poe...I'm in tier 5 maps.. warrior main...game wasn't as hard as they say..and I've used 50 exalts so far all self found on my shit gear having fun doing so

    Well said, I agree with at least 95% of what you said.. I never played POE1 but, personally I would take it one step further about the 'on death effects'. I don't even like ground effects, in ARPGs they are more often than not either horribly telegraphed or blend in with the environment. It's not like WoW when you can have a 360 view of your character. Further to, any form of hard CC in ARPGs is just bad design. Especially when you get 'stunned' simply by taking damage. It has zero place in this type of game and should have been exiled (haha) over a decade ago. I also find crafting in this game to be more annoying than anything. You already beat the RnG boss by getting the drop, why would you have to double down on that?

      @Phenomanon Hey I totally agree with this. I didn't specify on death "pools" or damage over time effects but everyone always talks about "visual clarity", there literally is no such thing as visual clarity when this stuff is everywhere.

    Freeze happens after a lot of cold damage, get cold resist and/or ailment threshold.

    +1 Those On Death Effects are at times STRONGER than the attacks from that MOB itself. And it seems that having high evasion does not help with these effects.
    Also they can take 5sec or more to trigger.
    Also agree with your take on rarity of crafting material. What I think they should do in light of removing deterministic crafting, is to remove the useless mods (light radius for example) and then to make the mods that do get rolled a LOT better and perhaps weapon specific. So that when you use that Exalt, it's really worth it. Something like +Speed on a bow but on a melee weapon, add xx to xx Physical damage.

    I've never played poe but I got to end game, probably got to tier 6 and I just stopped lol. It's just not fun past that for me but I think it's just the repetitive content right now, if they have more endgame later it should solve it a bit.
    I had to stop playing my infernalist build because I just couldn't see anything on the ground haha.

    even worst with the skill gems, if you need a low level skill because of the mana cost you need to find the right area in campaign where that level drops, because you can't use a higher level gem for it.

    I agree with the ondeath effects removal. I dont agree with the hard cc tears though. Dont get hit with frost spells... Roll is unlimited use, roll away and reposition. If they were to replace hard cc with instant death, then you just will rage about losing XP and all the other minor inconvenience you feel to complain about next.

    On the freezing it should be limited to a rare modifier and we should have freeze build up visable to player on debuff bar. As I have no problem with freezing as long as i know what can freeze me and the origins aren’t numerous

    The annulment orbs should be more common and more deterministic. That is an easy fix. For example, the annulment orbs should have the functionality to eliminate the last suffix or prefix added. In that way, everybody would be crafting. And they should keep the randomness.
