    Thank you for this video.
    I was about to give up on the collector removal, but your video made it easy for me.
    Now I’m happy with new spark plugs and coil packs.

    thanks I'm a Chrysler Tech as well and haven't had to do one of these recalls yet but your videos are always handy to have

      I have only seen 2 of them so far. I found that I can inspect it as well using a bore scope. I got one recently and try my best to use it when ever possible. It's always cool to hear from fellow Chrysler Techs. Nothing like getting input from others doing the same job as me. You can get s different view point or find out other methods to help speed up the job. Thanks for watching and for tre comment

    Thanks for the video. I think this is the only video showing intake removal on the 3.6 PUG engine which I came across as I need to change the plugs on my wife's 2016 4wd. Turns out the intake has to come off to do the motor mounts as well which are now leaking impacting ride quality. So coming across your video kept me from having to figure this out myself and removing the intake twice!

I’ll update you if I get any more codes or the same one. Car has a lot more power and more response so far so good. Followed your instructions to letter👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 this guy is good and right on point.

    I should’ve watched this video before changing my water pump. I would have inspected the fuel line myself.
    Great information

    we have been using a borescope instead of removing the intake. it's kinda tricky at first but I know where to sneak it in now

    I guess when you read the recall info it makes it seem more complicated, thanks for simplifying it. Thanks a lot cheers

      @MotorCityMechanic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The recall info breaks it down step by step so it does sometimes seem that way. Once you get into it....it's cut and dry

    I had 9 of those bolts on the upper intake, 4 top, 4 on the lower side and the 1 between the firewall and intake.

    Was there an update on the torque specs? My upper intake manifold on my 2016 Grand Cherokee has 7-9 NM (62-80 in-lbs) molded right into the top of it. Excellent video by the way!

    I think this video is one of your best. Also, showing a damaged lower intake, with the good one in the same frame was great. It seems that as you publish more videos they get better and better. Keep up the great work.

    Can you remove the egr valve from the manifold instead of disconnecting the hose and leaving the valve attached?

    Just looking around at recalls , our 2016 jgc with a 3.6 just died out of the blue this afternoon then it started back up??? Shop closed so I couldn't go looking for a code and now she's scared out of her head looking a you tube interweb jeep horror stories. Any opinions, recalls ??? Thanks buddy and ps you make great videos! Thanks Tommy

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      When ever you search the internet about any car on the market you will see nothing but horror stories. For that year model there is no common issues that I can point you towards. Checking the codes as you mentioned is needed and then maybe that might be something to check . Otherwise right now it could be anything. Thanks Tommy for the question and for watching.

    I had this recall also too. First, i thought it was simple..., but just to inspect the fuel crossover tube, the worst part was the harness which hold the bracket. Whew.., figure it out. plus, my advisor gave me 2hrs for this recall. Lucky me.

    Just curious has it been determined how this damage is occurring during assembly?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The damage appears to have been caused by an upper intake bolt/screw. Being that a lot of steps are automated.....it seems what might have happened is that the upper intake wasn't lined up correctly and the back corn bolt/screw didn't go where it was suppose to go...instead between the fuel line and lower intake. The damage matches the thread pattern on that bolt.

    Hey guy This is pit stop auto, i have a question please.... I have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler to replace the transmission control module I want to go with a junkyard does it have to be reprogrammed to that vehicle?

    • @MotorCityMechanic
      @MotorCityMechanic  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The information that I am showing doesnt mention any vehicle specific programming to the module. Its recommended to do a quick learn after installing the module and it doesnt hurt to see if there is a newer update for that module but that would have to be done at the dealer. Otherwise plug and play is what I am showing. Make sure the part numbers are the same. Thats pretty much all the steps I can find in the service info. Hope this helps. Make sure to subscribe and share these videos with others.

      We get just above 1.0 hours. It takes longer in the video then when the camera is not on. It can be done in the time they pay us for which is cool.

  • @frogdu

    I really don't understand why FCA engineers made it so difficult to access the sparkplugs, for 2015 and precious models you have to remove the manifold to replace the 3 on the driver side, for 2016 and later models you have to remove the manifold to replace the 3 on the passenger side, what the helllllll!
