Reviewing The CHEAPEST Touch Screen Head Unit! [The eBay Special]

- I bought the cheapest touch screen head unit that was available on both eBay and Amazon. This radio, a 7012B, features tons of awesome capabilities, including bluetooth, USB port, AUX port, a mic, LED backlit buttons, and a 7 inch touch screen display. It also can play movies, videos, pictures, mirror a phone (for some users) connect to standard antenna radio, and some versions even come with a backup camera. In this video I go over everything this stereo has to offer, and whether or not I'd recommend it. Please include your thoughts on it in the comments!

From what I've seen to get the phone link option to work you have to enable developer options on a android phone, then switch on USB debugging mode, and when you connect the phone via USB it will mirror the phone screen onto the head unit, I'm still yet to try this

This worked for me - turn on usb debugging
When you put the car into reverse, it takes a second to load the rear camera feed and the music you're listening to turns off during the duration of reverse being used (I'm guessing it's the same for anything in use)
* it's a minor thing but can't expect super high quality performance for am obviously base budget device
I use the AUX for an MP3 player anyway so this was an upgrade to the factory stereo
There is a significant improvement to the sound quality. Wasn't about to spend $200+ on a stereo I'm only going to use for an MP3 player playlist

Plus $30 you can get android based unit that has all features of the winCE unit in this video and the ability to install apps from the Google store and GPS antenna. Honestly not getting something that gives you GPS navi is not an upgrade at all.
How did you change the colored buttons from deffirent colors to red
You installed these head unit 2yrs ago no now hows the quality, is it still working or having issue with by now? Thank you just wanna know if it's worth of buying these Chinese radio
Mine is still working just fine! No complaints on my end
My only complaint is that the radio is an odd size. Its hard to find mounting hardware that fits. I’ve installed 2 so far both required Dremel work in order to fit the kit.
I made designed custom bracket kit for Miatas that will be for sale soon. I agree, without a kit it’s a bit of a job!

Just got this for $90 not knowing it sold cheaper. You get what you pay for. Can't figure out how to mirror from my phone. Lost steering control functions. But the bluetooth works very well. So...
iVE HEARD IN OTHER VIDS WITH REGARDS TO THESE CHEAPER CHINESE PRODUCED UNIT THAT THEY ARE OK BUT NOT AMAZING DUE TO THE LOW AMOUNT OF RAM IT SAID. MY QUESTION IS, CAN YOU UPGRADE THE RAM??

Hello everyone My experience with this type of radio left me with a bad taste ...
I have already tried more than 3 different models but without success.
My first had an uncomfortable delay when using the hands-free phone and it didn't have a volume button ... OK but I said to myself: So I order a button model ...
There again, the same problem of hands-free cellular, I even replaced my cellular and that did not change anything ...
My last model said WIFI, so I bought this one with volume button, but again ALWAYS the same problem with delays in cellphone use and even worse this time, at certain point when I start my truck, the volume climbs to maximum and I must immediately lower the volume ... Regarding WIFI, it works with sharing via my cell phone but not from home ... I still have to find a solution.
My advice, radio side is OK but not for hands-free use!

In setting - others there is an option to select logo. But don't know the password
Do some googling, I’ve seen it posted but can’t remember off the top of my head
I've seen a video on a similar radio where they change the logo and the password they put in is: 1983, not sure if this will work for this model or not

I don’t believe that unit had it, but I replaced it for a CarPlay unit
These radios re good for a budget interface a little slow some glitches on Apple car play when back up camera switches screen you sometimes have to hit home you get a black screen also the FM reception on these radios are terrible in the country they have no power but most people just stream everything anyway REMEBER THE GUTS OF ALL THESE RADIOS ARE THE SAME JUST CHANGE FACE AND NAME THERE ARE ONLY A COUPLE OF FACTORYS IN CHINA THAT MAKE ALL THESE

I will, no plans on slowing down! Big channel announcement to come this weekend. I’d get a 94, it’ll have the 1.8L and better components pretty much all around. I just got this 93 because the price was right and it’s not significantly worse
