For those wondering, there basically dual radios but with a free back up camera and better warranty. They last for a good year before it'll start to lose function.
Ive had my Dual for about 4 years now ($150), works great 👍 I even wired it up to watch DVDs while NOT in park. SWC built in. 2 usb ports. AV in and out. Subwoofer port. This one doesnt even have a CD slot (or DVD) and it doesnt display the song name/band during BT.
Couple of notes after getting this exact radio: 1. The resolution is better and the display is plenty bright for daylight use. 2. It’s not the fastest interface but 99% of the people out there are not going to be bothered by this, its not that significant, specially for the price.
How's it been 7 months in? I'm looking into getting one just like this but I'm not sure if it's worth it yet. I've got an old single din pioneer deck that has great eq settings so I can run a sub off my rear speakers and I'm worried I won't have that capability with this.
Hello my friend! I'm having a problem with my VW POLO 1.2 2008. When I turn off the car the screen stays on and I manually turn it off.. Ok but my phone keeps connecting to carplay via bluetooth... I suppose that even if the radio is "off" it continues to drain my battery. I don't know much about it but I know that behind the radio there are several connections with different colored cables. Is there a cable that I should cut?
I’ve had this radio without car play for 3 years. Paid £35 and it’s lasted so well. Use it every day with Bluetooth. Just ordered a model that says it has car play because that’s what I really want. The microphones on these are poor so I soldered a jack on the back and put an external mic on it
False, installing one of these cheap Android head units made my stereo sound WAY better. I have a Ford Edge full load, it comes with a Pioneer headunit with a built in 6 disc changer and Sub in the back, my sub never pounded like a real sub ;but since upgrading to the Android Head unit my system actually pounds (like window shaking pounds) and everything is crisp/clean sound even when full volume. I was expecting my very expensive factory head unit to outshine the cheapo.
Let us know if this has survived being installed in a vehicle and used daily for even 1 year. As an installer, I've had to stop even installing these (and those like it). When they fail in 3 month, the customer looks at me like it's my fault. Stick with the big brands and be happy for years to come.
Also as an installer, I will install their radios but I’ll let them know that On a lot of reviews of Amazon customers state wiring harness shorts and burn, also that they don’t last and they’re honestly junk. I make sure to leave a note on the work order and installation notes. I wish I could decline installing these radios, especially since the installation in labor cost more than the unit itself.
