Till Lil' Pup decides to piss away Adam's chances. At the end of the year we will see if Laurie wins more than Adam did.
Well, we are talking about 3 people that in the past that have said it feels wrong to put win's on adam's board through cooperative wins.
I just want to say that Laurie doesn't get enough love. He has a great, dry sense of humour and is generally fun to watch.
So Laurie, if you read this: You're appreciated. =)
I second this notion. The loud boys always get the attention and while I would never diss sully Laurie is also a highlight.

This was probably the most confusing game ever! lol rules check weren't Adam and Sully supposed to lose 4 humanity for starting the round after level 0 was activated? Not sure if it would have affected the finish but still interested to see if that was the case.
Yeah I think they were cause the effect was triggered in lauries turn of the previous round. They said that next round the haunts don’t get a turn and each vagrant takes 4 humanity. As they were discussing who should go first.
Adam should have lost 4 humanity in the penultimate round. That would flipped his card. Dunno what happens after that though
Adam should have taken damage several times but didn't. For example, at one point, everybody was supposed to move right or left, then take damage if hitting terrain or an edge. He corrected Sully's move, but didn't fix his own, which would have done damage.
yeah they forgot several rules i had to rewind to make sure i didnt miss something
there are times vagrants were in doorways, which narrow the field with what I would consider an edge, but they didn't take damage for that either
@@swmabie BTW, did Adam move then? I think that was a time that he was unaffected bc he was in the other train car (I could be wrong).

1:20:00 - I think you forgot to apply the four humanity loss from the last break effect. So this turn would have been even worse if you had remembered that effect, because you'd lose seven humanity on one turn and taken a wound.
They also forgot to have Sully do that at the start of the next round as well.
This was so fun to watch! I wanted to mention though I think there were a few times damage shouldve been taken and didnt and a few rules were missed but theres so much to keep track of i definitely wouldve forgotten everything if i was playing myself 😅

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting to hear a reference to "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep".
I love the idea that the game board's a train: it makes it so much easier to sell a campaign if the train's travelling through different territory, or even hopping to a different train. Could probably do something similar with boats, planes, airships, spaceships & whatnot. Or, in my fantasy game, a giant dinosaur.
Or in my game, a mobile city
This game needs a rubber hose style cartoon.

They forgot about the event triggered on the second break. Adam should have taken his first wound before the epic dog fail. He probably would have been dead by the end of that round.

1:19:50 Adam since u went first, you should have taken 4 humanity due to the effect of the ritual before (All vagrants who start a turn first takes off 4 humanity).
I say this win doesnt count for Adam. And only for Adam.

Calling the dog The Professor sounded familiar, and then I suddenly got flashbacks to the film Cabin Fever (admittedly, the dog in the film is actually called Dr Mambo, but leads to the following exchange... ""He's a doctor, like a physician or a professor?" "Yeah, he's a professor... of being a dog! Oooh, faced!")

The campaign mechanics Adam mentioned at the end sounds like the most interesting parts of this game! Sad that they couldn't be worked into the episode. It makes sense that you would be doing the first scenario, but it was difficult to feel any tension in a coop game when you mention that it is very easy to win.
Additionally, with everything going on I found the game a bit difficult to follow without the confessionals/talking heads. Getting into the players' minds usually helps me follow along with what's happening, in addition to containing some of the most fun material.
Sometimes I hear “taint” when they say “haint” as in “I might as well go for the taint.”
They forgot the 4 humanity lost for the first turn after that event

My group would not have enjoyed it, but hey... Western Legends looks amazing for my group. Wise Guys is more fun for me than my friends because I can pretty much always read their lies.
Last time I was this early, I was able to come up with a witty comment. So basically never.

First board game in a while that I haven’t particularly enjoyed, just not my kind of game, felt difficult to follow, and not particularly fun to watch being played. That being said, I love all the people around the table, and I stuck around to watch all 2 hours of madness, so NRB still doing bits to at least keep me engaged. Get on board! And hey, the Patreon is really good, even if it’s just for extra BOTC and Sully’s podcast

at 37 min when Haint has to move to open square. only adam wouldve been affected because aint can move through obsticals, making the mission harder then needed (just happened to catch that and typing while watching)\

1:20:43 wasn't Adam supposed to take 4 humanity damage for starting the round during the final break phase (according to Event 0)? I thought event 0 activated that effect every round during the final phase... or did i misunderstand that, and it only took effect during that round?

So you're saying it's a cooperative game?
In my experience, in the first playthrough of any cooperative game, the table tends to defer to whoever is explaining the rules. They are de facto table captain because they have to explain what happens based on the choices available. Not much you can do about it other than ask everyone to read the full rules before the game.
I see horrified peaking out behind Laurie. Are you all gonna play it at some point? Sure it's not complex but I bet it'd be fun.
This seems like my type of game. Are there different scenarios like betrayal or mansions to play?
It's a campaign game, so there's a story that goes through a bunch of scenarios with a definitive "end". All 'bosses' have distinct and interesting mechanics. The game does have some branching so multiple playthroughs aren't the same. Some of the scenarios are not about 'defeating' the boss but have different ways of resolution.

Thanks for another video, but really not my game this time. Looked quite "boring and very easy" from the mechanics. You had to attack the boss in order to win so you kind of had no choice in getting close and hoping not to take a lot of damage (or pulling an apple which basically heals 10, making every heal action a waste of coins against that). Also this time you missed A LOT of damage effects (I think about 15 or so was skipped/not taken) but even with this damage, you still would have won. Most likely due to the fact that this was first scenario?
I think this game is scaled pretty badly for 4 players. Looks like 3 might be better.
Here's the reason why NRB needed their own studio.. too many complaints coming from Draughts Patrons from the screaming of 'You dumb F'ing pup' coming from upstairs.
