I paused during the explanation to look something up, so forgive me if you mention it later, but I think it's an adorable anecdote about this game. All elements on the cards in this game are real except for Jodium and Sydnium. The creator wanted one card for each letter of the alphabet, but no element symbols start with J or Q. So instead, he named them after his own daughters, Jodie and Sydney. The adorable part is that the symbol for Sydnium is Qt... he literally made a part of the game designed to call his daughter a cutie 🥰
Also, fun nerdy fact (well, fun for nerds): ununoctium, the Uuo card, is a temporary descriptive name. The element 118 was given an official name Oganesson in 2016, so technically, to get a U, the next edition of the game should move up to element 119, ununennium, Uue.
..Or claim your Uuo has been errata to Oganesson, due to "science", at a crucial point to cheat your way up the move order! 😈

another (albeit less adorable) solution for the J would have been Iodine, as the German word is Jod. the K for Potassium also comes from the German Kalium so it wouldn't be unusual.
The Dutch translation of Iodine is Jodium, so it is a real element. Just in another language.

at 48:38, Dom misunderstands his power, you turn a MULTIPOINT TRACTOR/REPULSOR into a STANDARD TRACTOR/REPULSOR THEN, you multiply by 2 the effect, so he would have gone 4 into the outer gate.
I've never even heard of this game and I figured that out.
An understandable mistake to be fair.
Probably a mistake that wouldn't have happened if the game communicated like a real life human being lol

a computer version would solve issues like this, and thanks for posting, I came looking for a post like this when the card was used, because I noted the odd phrasing when he charged it, and figured he would get it wrong.

Why does Laurie, the largest symbiote simply not eat the rest?
They are his 'crew', they do not like the term.
Symbiotic lifeforms live in harmony with eachother, all benefitting from the existence of eachother, the classic example is birds eating parasites out of crocodiles teeth, the crocodiles get dental hygien, the birds get a meal, and if the biggest symbiote eats the smaller, then they actually get hindered in the long run.

Oh hell yeah. We need this! I don’t think it would be too complicated for the editors as is either. But it would be extra cool to get two “live” maps of the subs’ locations in the corners of the screen.

Fantastic game! The audio would be a mess in realtime mode, but lav mics and editing could make it very watchable!

I swear, this channel continues to have some of the highest production quality. Lighting, sound, just great stuff. Nothing distracts from the content and just lets it SHINE. This channel is one of my top five easy.

@@blakksheep736 Adam made a resolution at the beginning of the year to win at least 22 episodes of Board Game Club. He has only won 20 games on Board Game Club, which come out every week. He has 4 weeks left till the end of the year, meaning 4 episodes left, to try and get 2 more wins. If he doesn’t, he will record himself playing 5 straight sessions of Monopoly.

I played this for the first time with one of the designers at GenCon. It was a three player game, and I played a fun game I called "Party in the Singularity" where for 3 straight turns I kept the developer in the singularity. It was my first time playing, but I was reading this man like a book. The best part was because it was a three player game, the third player couldn't actually win. He got way out ahead and ran out of mass to slingshot off of and just drifted back towards us.
This episode needs a supercut of everything out of context. 😆

Dunno if anyone else called out how at 1:14:41 he grabs the piece he had just moved before, and should have had the more outer gate-ward jump to the same spot instead. Means that the second debris was one space off for however long. Not that it matters, just a sneaky error.

This one is tricky. It's a completely fair criticism, but finding the right colors to suit everyone is difficult.
Before you throw things at me, please note 2 items:
1) I designed the game (how it plays) and had input in the visual design of the most recent edition.
2) I'm profoundly colorblind (protanopia).
Renegade consulted with me on the colors and were very good about incorporating my feedback. That said, protanopia is only one of several types of color vision deficiencies. I wouldn't have picked up on the problems with red/orange because that's not among the color pairings with which I have difficulty.
I apologize and will mention this to the team when/if another printing occurs.

The creators of this game did a really good job of making movement along a curve as convoluted as possible.
I'm not sure it's what they went for, but they did it!
I introduced my relatives to 6 Nimmt at thanksgiving and they had a ton of fun playing!

Laurie's win was hard-earned. He got set back so much. But it reminds me of one of those TV episodes where the protagonist and antagonist compete in a competition and then at the end of the episode a random throw-away character who we don't know wins (not that Laurie is a throwaway character, but we really didn't think he was in the running)

Cavitation is when multiple pressure changes in water cause small cavities to form. Those cavities then implode, causing explosions. The Pistol Shrimp punches through water fast enough to create cavitation. The heat from the explosions is more than enough to kill fish.

Dom, cavitation is the name given to a mechanism in which vapor bubbles (or cavities) in a fluid grow and collapse due to local pressure fluctuations.
