Ken is the Kenoe. Tilly is beyond transport. She's tillyportation.
Hot Blair Balloon
tillyportation! I came here to say this!
Yah, they didn't give Ken a transport nickname!
@@nikorasu_karasu PERFECT!
A Tillycopter gets you there, but a Hollycopter gets you there in an exciting, but lengthier route, with several unplanned landings
Several sudden and unplanned landing 🤣
A hollycopter runs on magic
@jacobcain9008 you mean witchcraft
the SulliVan will bring you to the wrong address and it'll take 2 hours more than it would normally but the trip will be very fun
Only on a low dexterity day
Ken is the...Kengine to keep the vehicles going! 😂
And I was thinking Ken-Al boat.
I don’t know why but was thinking kenbustion engine instead of kengine. Kengine is much better
Mercedes-Ken
Kenoe
Ken't stop, won't stop!
Sully, it's actually Helico + Pter. Helico meaning spinning, and pter meaning wing (like pterodactyl).
I'm glad somebody else couldn't let someone be wrong on the internet before me.
Me too. I could never have listened to No such thing as a fish if I hadn’t of seen Sully corrected here!
@@Garland88 If we're being a bit petty about language here, it's "have" (or more true to the sound , 've) not "of". Sorry, but all the "would of"s instead of "would've" are my huge pet peeve. Please take no offense, have a nice day. :)
I'm so happy this comment already existed... 🙂
so we should be pronouncing it helicoter?
Tilly is a gem and her mere presence in any video just makes it so much better
At the switch Laurie said "choose" a bunch of times and I'm just sitting here like "No joke from Sullivan? Train goes choose choose!"
I wonder how this game would play without a saboteur. Don’t know if it’s just bad luck or what but definitely feels heavily weighted to explosion.
Since they had the rogue in both, I imagine that hurts the chance of the good guys.
The first game I imagine was heavily influenced by evil players sitting adjacent to each other, so Tilly and Holly confirmed each other's bluffs and made the game feel hopeless. But yeah, it didn't feel like good had a ton of influence over the game in either play.
From a bit of a look online it does seem like the game heavily favours the saboteur, and the designer has said that removing some of the full speed ahead cards can be an option to introduce more balance between power levels (responding to the recommendation from a player). I really like the concept of the game but I think the design needs some finessing for balance. I think even playing fully mask-off from the start a saboteur is still quite likely to win. (I think there are 24 spaces between the first opportunity to be thrown off the train and the train crashing. If the train is going full speed at that point and the players are able to decrement the speed once per turn then the train will stop 3 spaces from crashing, if they miss speed reductions the train will crash, and if they throw off the saboteur later they will crash.)
@@diogeneticist3585Ah it definitely felt unbalanced/unfair but seeing the actual numbers really puts it into perspective 💀
In the game they even said the saboteur has to be in play
I honestly wanna see people play this with no saboteur and see if they can stop the train bc it seems hard af. Like there seem to be waaaaayyyyyyy more speed up cards than slow down ones lol
Tilly absolutely killed it in both games, and Ken's slow roll was fantastic. I also enjoyed Holly playing juuuuust evil enough that the saboteur would know who she was...
That's a lie, I didn't actually enjoy it. Not because of Holly or anything (love ya Holly, and it was super well played!) but because it felt like there wasn't much opportunity for the good team to influence the game, especially if they missed their opportunity on a bridge. The first game especially kinda felt like Candyland, since none of the players had relevant Interventions - it felt like it was just straight up determined by the order of the cards and the order of the players. I'm sure a lot of that was because the two evil players were next to each other so Tilly and Holly could confirm each other's bluffs and make it feel hopeless (again, super well played), but it certainly didn't make me feel like I'd want to play this game.
It feels basically impossible for the good team to ever win even without a sabatour
Congrats on the well-deserved 300k friends.
"...And Paris, Is A Shithole!" And then Teri murdered Laurie and they never found his body.
Sully's laugh of horror and Laurie's look of surprise and betrayal is just the best thing ever. Well bloody played Tilly!
Small sample size, but it really seem like this game is skewed towards the saboteur heavily.
I think leaving the Rogue card out might help the balance
This video should be retitled "Tilly's Finest Hour" . Her best performance in BGC
38:30 Their reactions are the absolute BEST!!! Genuine shock and betrayal. So good. So good.
I cannot tell how mush I love Tilly at 1:02:00. This is my new favourite moment of NRB ever.
I was fully prepared for there to just be one game of this, but then there were two, which made me doubly happy.
At 51:20 they don't actually need to move the remaining 5 steps, the signal box stops you dead then after the vote it's the next person's turn
Ooh! New additions to the intro sequence! I spot Ken, Rosie, and a French hand....
French hand was always there
Good to see someone else also spotted Ken & Rosie in the intro, thought I'd missed something last episode. Fitting, given they're both mainstays on the channel.
After that video where Sully got cut off finishing those Nobody's Perfect lyrics, I'm glad he finally got his moment to shine in Hannah Montana
It's not "helic" and "opter" it's "helico"(meaning "to spiral") and "pter"(meaning "wing").
The intro alone lets me know this is going to be a good one. Congratulations on 300k subs as well.
It is always a pleasure when Ken is playing. :) He always adds a bit of fun chaos to any game, be him a traitor or not.
Everybody makes mistakes
Everybody has those days
Everybody knows what what im talking about
Everybody gets that way
Clearly the saboteur win is actually the best outcome, it means no one has to go to Paris ever again.
“Semi-collaborative, social deduction game” that’s how you know it’s going to be a top tier epiosode! 🎉
I love that Jon joined the game today under the name "Blair" 😂
He entered as the Engineer!
Blairs meltdown giving me Clocktower vibes 😄😄😄😄😄
It's like Jon is in the room!
I'm glad I found this channel a few weeks ago. So many cool games to play. If only I had friend to play them with
SAME

Sullivan arriving late the the train-iest thing possible!
I would just like to congratulate Laurie for all his great work on the channel. You have been doing a terrific job mate. Loving the content!
this type of the games are never my favorite tbh, the game mechanic would be way to easy to win so to balance it they just chuck way more bad cards in than good cards, at which point its more just a game of getting lucky instead of any actual social deduduction. anyways! thats only my critism of these type of games i still enjoyed the video! great as always
I was going to comment the same thing. These types of games are always weighted in favour of the evil player(s).
I had a game of Feed the Kraken where the pirates did diddly squat the whole game and won because the cards the good team pulled kept pushing them towards the pirate cove with no way of correcting. The frustrating part is we had the baddies sussed (both went overboard) and knew who to trust yet the cards were never on our side.
@SunriseAshes yep! Along with secret Hitler this was the other game I was thinking about with my last comment, they played it too a while ago
Sully - it's "Helico" and "pter"! Spiral Wing!
Came here to comment this myself!
Fantastic as always thank you
Well clearly a Tillycopter is powered by *steam, because "if I don't drink water, I'll die." 😂
Rogue seems free with 6 players because as long as they get all the sus, they can distract all the good guys and let the saboteur work.
I'm not sure if Holly meant to get that sus so early every time, but if it works it works 😂! Good job!
tilly plays such quiet games but I KNEW I KNEW I KNEW
Love the intro :3 Awesome video!
Congratulations on the 300k!! So deserved
Congrats on the 300k subs. You lot deserve at least a million but we'll get there soon enough
"no ticket... ." Indianna Blake
Tillycopter sounds a bit sillycopter
SO true
Love it
17:37 ACTUALLY Sullivan, it's Helico-pter. Helico refers to a Helix in the way the blades spin, and Pter meaning Wing (as in a Pterodactyl, "Wing Fingers"). It's a Spiral Wing, basically.
A fun addition to this is that it implies it'd be a Silent P just like in Pterodactyl like I said before, so it'd be Helicoter. Languages are weird.
Actually, even more weirdly, I believe it implies the opposite: i.e. that the 'p' in pterodactyl originally wasn't silent!
"P" in Pterodactly is silent?!?!?!?!?!?
@@shadiesterI believe this was true of all uses of the letter P combined with another consonant in words derived from Greek. I think some languages still pronounce the P. The English language was just simplified so we end up with a lot of silent letters
Fun fact: in Italian the "pt" in helicopter became a double t, basically making the p silent. However, in the italian word "pterodactyl" the p isn't silent. Languages are very weird.@@shadiester
WOOOO ITS THE BEST TIME OF THE WEEK!!! ITS BOARD GAME CLUB!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
"and Paris... is a shithole!"
Truer words have never been spoken. Let us all forget Paris even exists and enjoy the blissfulness of a parisless world
Damn Tilly's play at the end was SO good.
oooh really looking forward to Just One next week. that's the first time i actually own a game before seeing the Board Game Club episode on it, usually it works the other way around!
Ooh! Love the animated intro!
Tillycopter absolutely smashed the first game, that was a swerve and a half bro!
A little train to go back and forth between the individuals on the ends of the game table would be awesome!
Keeping track of things??? Love your train of thought.
Sully Van is _almost_ right about the derivation of helicopter, it is split in a way that you probably wouldn't expect:
helico- meaning spiral (as in helix)
-pter meaning wings (as in pterodactyl)
This was one of those videos where I did not want it to end because I wanted to see more gameplay and use of the intervention cards/roles! Pretty sure that means this one should pop on my wishlist.
Liking the new intro and transitions.
Much better than Secret Hitler imo - Tilly playing excellently
blairplane, kengine, lorry, sulli-van, tillycopter, hollycopter
I gotta be honest, Holly sucks at lying. She always says "I know its not me", or acts indignant that they suspect her.
Benefit of the doubt on this one, I think it was on purpose. Being juuuuust evil enough as the rogue means the saboteur knows who their teammate is and can hide themselves more effectively.
In general though, there aren't many times she's been evil that I haven't sussed her out, although a lot of those are a bit unfair because in like Clocktower we know what her role is beforehand.
Love the intro, damn
Hadn't seen the new intro yet; it's nice.
More of this game please!
Each player chooses a character randomly, which includes the saboteur role. So you can have games without a saboteur present. Including the Stuntman and Rogue characters is for advanced play and the manual reccomends not adding them in for initial play or for games with fewer players.
I checked the rulebook and this is incorrect. There is always a Saboteur. But it does say to leave the Rogue out for new players or fewer than 6 players.
I love how Laurie just seamlessly took over. What a guy. So handsome.
Tilly and Sully with the plays of the game.
Interesting to see next week is Just One...finally on NRB but already played on PFK...should be a lot of fun especially if it is these 6 again.
They have played it, it's the 22nd oldest video on the channel
With another train video I am surprised once again that NRB has not played Ticket to Ride on the channel
They've played it on Board Game Arena (online) for Patreon.
TTR is a pretty dull game though, to be honest. It might have been exciting when it first came out, but games have gotten so much better since then.
@@helgecko 1. For Patron is not the same think as on the channel. I am more hoping for a Board Game Club episode.
And more importantly 2. TTR is anything but boring, in fact I would argue that it’s one of my favorite games of all time and isn’t the same any of the ~100 times I have played it and I Don think it’s overshadowed by newer games either. There are so many interesting things that can happen like when you are trying to get one route complete but you get blocked off by the competition, or not drawing what you need and having to change your plan midway through the game etc. Definitely I get good reactions from my friends when we play it together. I also would recommend playing with either the extra cards of the 1910 expansion, which makes the strategy even more interesting by adding a lot more routes and the most routes completed card, or playing the Europe version that has the tunnels to use as well to change up the game. That said I think the base game is interesting enough as it stands though.
I assume the driver had too much vin rouge with his dejeuner, which is why he's leaving the decision on how fast the train goes up to his passengers!
Missed opportunity to feature Tom... the Tank Engine
Tilly is awesome 🔥
play again!!! i love this
Look, I see action Sully in the thumbnail, I click, it's that simple.
Tilly really turned up to the dimes this episode. Quality look.
I love Tilly… that’s all.
Yay train games!!
hot take, this game feeling hopeless made it super fun to watch.
Congrats in 300k!!!!
It's now my life's dream to see Sully on taskmaster
the split is actually helico (helix (ἕλιξ) "helix, spiral, whirl, convolution") and pter (pteron (πτερόν) "wing"), like pterodactyl
I’ve seen this game played like 5-6 times I have never seen the train stop/not crash it’s kinda wildly imbalanced from what I’ve seen especially with a rogue like 1 selfish choice from the good team and 2-3 good draws from the evil team and it’s game over
Yeh I played this game and we never succeeded
7:48 The moment I realise Sully's shirt looks like a train conductor's shirt
Genuinely one of the besy vids yet 😂 Tilly and Sully tried so hard!
I think you guys may have missed “All Tillyrain Vehicle” 😅
Or not, but you are welcome either way.
To be fair, I think "All Teri-n Vehicle" might work better for that pun.
@@DyslecticAttack true, yours is more elegant, but Teri wasn’t in the game, so I stand by mine 👍
@@daleware5217 unfortunately Tri never is. Except for guess the card and hot bucket cold bucket during the 10-hour stream this year, I don't think she's been on screen to play along.
spoilers!!
but I just have to
applaud this play
at 1:01:43 - 1:02:31
another cinematic twist and turn! how many can one episode have?
1:04:28 Funniest moment in the whole video. "I don't remember seeing that, I must have missed it"
Now that I know Ken’s tell, it was obvious.
if you guys can acquire it, Id like to see you guys play Ratten Reich the board game. it looks like fun, and you guys play these games the best.
This game seems really badly designed. Really hard to stop the train makes it a lot about the luck of the draw, not talking about roles is quite a weird choice in a game like this, the bridge throwing mechanic does not seem to work well either as there is no reason not to chuck someone off, the stuntman is a very stupid role in a game like this... I may be wrong, but I am just not seeing it, it looks really weird.
Stuntman sounds like a nightmare to play
So excited to see this game on the channel. Played it at Tabletop this year and we all loved it!
I picture Laurie being taken by paramedics from the train just like Colin Farell's Ken from "In Bruges" wondering if Paris is really hell and not wanting to die in Paris.
Blair: "I'm not even giving you a choice, Ken."
Also Blair: "Why did you choose that card, Ken?"
Blair is making a fuss again, everyone 😂
If only Sully had held that card for one more turn, lol. Devestating. 😂
Tillyportation
17:40, actually its "helico" from the helix-shape, and "Pter" from Pteron (wing in Greek) like in pteranodon and other flying dinosaurs.
Almost correct.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to say it but without the amazing, amazing cast of very diverse, very hilarious people playing the actual game, I'm not sure I would be watching these videos. The games are so-so, entertaining sure, but it's really the people playing that truly make it so very entertaining! You're all legends, I hope this goes on forever!
Greek here, helicopter stems from ελικόπτερο, which is a merge of έλιξ (helix) and πτερό (wing/feather). Am I trying to be a smartass? Noooo. Am I proud of my language? Meeeeh. Is Paris a shithole?
...
Yeeeeeeh
I love how everyone joined in the song at the end. Really shows our age. Let me get my walking stick.
Pls help me out, i cant find the title of the song and it drives me crazy.

Not important but I love Sully’s shirt. Takes me back to high school.
Laurie is right though. Paris is a shit hole and I wanna go home. 😂
