Another quality they seem to have is that they lock on where they aim on the hoop (personal preference) before they even get into their shooting motion. Joe Harris around 2:45 is the best example
Mike Dunn, a shooting coach, teaches that you drop your legs while pulling the ball up to your shoulders then pushing off. This makes his shot look very pure and gives him much more range.
@@kostaskoukos3932 not strictly, meant it as in most great 3 point shooters (curry, harden, lillard, klay, etc) have one motion for deep range, and most great mid range players (mj, Kobe, melo, RIP Hamilton, etc) have 2 motion for control since most shots in mid range are moving shots. CP3 and Nash for example, use both one and two motion consistently.
I accidentally discovered shooting at a higher angle hence higher arc a few years ago due to my back injury where I can no longer jump higher to launch my shot further. I’m now a much better shooter. I can even shoot 3 without jumping but it look really weird with how high the ball fly lol
Can you make a video on in game distractions? Like how to stay focused & not yet distracted by "player coaches". Soo annoying! Let me play the game my way w/you not you control how I play. 😤
I forget how to shoot cause i play a lot soccer ...this video helps me to remember .i use to play as shooting guard..really frustated when u cant scored again my mistake is when my leg down ball up
you’ve really helped me improve my basketball ig and skill level in a lot of ways but my video request is can you make a video explaining how to be more consistent because i’ll splash 20 in a row and then miss like 6 and i want to improve that so please make a video on it
i do gotta say that with the second, if u watch closely when the ball is around their head there legs are still loaded so they can get max the power out of their legs. if you move your arms and legs at the same time, you'll lose power. So ball first then legs. also, make that a fluid motion bcs otherwise you're still gonna lose power.
Angle, fluid motion & footwork ✍🏾✍🏾✍🏾
First can you make a Stephen curry attention to detail because he’s going off this season
Lillard???
I think he already has some for both players. They’re old though
He already did for both of them
Which one do you need to work on? 👀
arc
My footwork most definitely
Every single one
Probably footwork the most, but I could improve in all.
everything

I'm amazed on how every video is another good topic 👏🏽🏀
this was much needed‼️
The fourth quality is confidence
One motion is the key for being great 👌🏾
Not always. There are good shooters who use 2 motion. For example Larry Bird, the most obvious one.
@@kostaskoukos3932 yea but that was because he was extremely hard worker and confident. Think about if he didn’t he’d be an even greater shooter
One motion for 3 pt and deep shots, two motion for mid range
@@mtaylor1237 yeah I agree with that but it doesn't have to be strictly that way.

Joe Harris must watch this video to learn how to shoot
How are you not an NBA trainer? I see so many NBA level players who just don't have these basics. It's sad
Definitely thought you were gonna say early rim targeting with the eyes

I always shoot with no arc because it goes in more, for me. It's different for everybody else. I don't have the strength to shoot with a high arc.
This guy needs his own team @by any means Basketball
You forgot to mention that you can actually get your shot off faster with a higher shooting arc.
