@@ILB Hi coach, appreciating your videos--thanks a lot. Do you have any recommendation for me? In practice I'm a pretty good shooter (95% Ft line, 80% midrange and 65% 3-point shot). In game situations all 3 shots drop by like 25%. The main difference that I can tell is that in practice my feet feel and are active before the shot....like they do those small preparatory movements automatically etc. like I don't do it consciously but my body prepares for the shot unconsciously already...the shot usually feels quick, accurate with a good portion of leg energy...in game situations my feet become somehow inactive...like they are stuck to the ground...I still manage to be among the top 3 shooters on my team but I feel like not playing up to my potential. The problems is that when I consciously pay attention to my feet and try to activate them, then my upper body movement and release do not feel like natural and connected but rather somewhat disconnected....any suggestion on how to fix it? Like how do I get those active legs/feet without doing it consciously? In practice it seems like what you say: "The legs follow the arms/hand instantly, quickly and with energy...but in game situation the lift is not there or at least much less forceful. Any suggestions?
hey coach i have this problem where it seems like push the ball when im gonna shoot.....and when im about to shoot it seems like i dont have time to get into the normal shooting form...it just looks like im just throwing the ball
This was good to watch and easy to grasp.
love this content 💞
Hi Ryan,
I love your videos. I've been playing Basketball for many years and have established the world's ugliest shot ever. I get lucky eventually, but the shots don't feel right.
Could you maybe clarify why it seems that some players release their ball at the highest point of their jump? Sometimes it even looks like it's when they are about to land back.
What I'm also struggling with are the close shots. If I get that fluid movement from too close, it does not feel right, because there is too much power. This boils it down to either just shoot the ball properly (without shooting from below) or ... I don't know.
Also - what would a close shot look like if they are contested?
Maybe some ideas for future videos 😊
Thanks
ILBTV is finally spending time with me dropping them gems
Always fam!
Goofy ah
Can you make defense videos
Good luck I'll say and I'm saying it in every video that you are BEST COACH ❤️
We appreciate big time man! Thank you!
Great video!
Can I get some tips, every time I shoot a basketball I have this habit of forcing the ball to the hoop.
I’ve watched your videos of shooting and it helped me a lot but I’m stuck on this problem.
Edit: I also don’t know how much power to use when shooting so I came up with habit of forcing it.
ong thing i recommended with this is starting up as close as you can and take a step back every shot you make (make sure it’s all net)
this helps with arch and with your touch!
I’ve been doing it with one hand, but i made a habit of putting force when i flick my wrist.
@@real3babyyy do you also know how to get more range?
@@juleyangurung3125 that drill also helps with range!! But instead of only making one shot take 10 from each spot
Psalms 23.
How can I get work done with you?
traveling on spin move. Pivot foot established, lifted and then put down on the floor = travel.
Should practice without traveling. Someday refs might start calling it again. Doubtful, but possible. It also simply makes one faster at shooting on balance overall. One can always easily go back to traveling every time, then balance is super easy at that point.
I got sick and for some reason I forgot how to shoot
I wanna fix my shot so bad pls help.😊
Lets get it! We got you

Ryan im great with the mid range shots but when I shoot three pointers the ball doesnt get their and I get off balanced. It also looks like im just chucking the ball, I think this is just due to me being younger anad smaller but im sure there is a right way could u respond back please?
Just keep working on your form shots and start moving back slowly until you’re on the three point line. By then you should be able to shoot threes with good form
This is my problem, I’m 5’6 in 8th grade and most of the guys there are 5’8 or 5’10.
I’m able to guard most of them but I get fouled often.
@@motivationhub9534 That’s what I’m working on right now but remember to only use your shooting arm not the guiding arm.
If you use both hands than the ball will go to a different direction.
