Reminds me how in the Xillia games, if you AC reset (guarding mid combo/arte chain) and act out of it fast enough, the Guard animation wont even come out. Your voice is so cute! I had no idea this is how it worked, that's really cool. I assumed you always got stuck in the guard state after spellcancelling. Never would have thought just tapping guard would make a difference (also apparently I'm very unobservant because I didn't even notice you were moving immediately after cancelling in your videos lol)
I'd recommend looking into a better mic and/or some related accessories to dampen background noise/feedback, if you're actually planning to narrate more videos. But that being said your voice ain't bad and you explained the concept well :)
@@HorangiTiger My god, this is annoying. I was thinking about finally buying the PC version, so i can take a look at the extra content provided by the PS2 Version of the game. Sadly, the tech glitch got fixed and now this... And also i would have to grind all the titles, EX-Gems etc. again. Oh and they nerfed the gald you reveice upon killing the dragon inside the temple of earth by 90%... (from 10k to 1k). Is there a save editor or something? :D
Great video my dude. Tho im curious, those with no spells like Llyod for example. Is it possible to reach like say 50+ ish combos normally tho? I personally never was able to go beyond 25 or so...
It is possible to do long combo strings with Lloyd! It involves using Demon Fang to stand-up your enemy after using an arte that knocks down. I'd recommend checking out Mecuriasu's Lloyd guide! I'm not really a Lloyd expert haha.

It's an intentional mechanic with a surprising amount of depth to it! Try it out on Kratos/Zelos! It's a lot of fun to do combos with them.
