We're back on the river with our nets, and an early run looks like a promising year in 2024. We're throwing in some tips to get those nets in safe and sound!!!
Bradley: glad to see you about to post a video on Buffalo tenderloins. I got schooled on that down in Catahoula parish and they are awesome. But, I love my fish anyway I can get em. Thanks for another great video! Roy
Those Buffalo ribs after they are fried will the best. I'm watching from El Dorado and chomping at the bit to set out my own nets. Thanks for the video !
Man I'm not sure as busy as I stay if I'll live long enough to write a book, but who knows. You do come up with ideas that take off sometimes!¡! Thanks for pushing us
Am i getting this right? Mouth upstream? All my life I thought mouth downstream and on Tombigee river in Alabama they did use bait. Commerical fishing is almost gone now, too much work. Keep the videos coming. Stay safe.
Mouth Down Stream always!!! Fish swim into current most of the time. You very well can bait, just some times it don't do that good or not necessary all the time, especially if we're catching all the fish we have time for. With our works schedules, we sometimes welcome poor catches🤣🤣🤣
I'm still on the only Florida river that doesn't allow hoop or wire nets-wood slat only. One FWC LEO said I may have a loop hole, but I'd hate to have him be wrong and lose all my licensing, including salt.
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Having my backyard being mown grass to the waterline of a larger river, and my yard also being the split-off junction of a flow towards another river and lake-and being a 20 minute pull to where I launch on the Gulf salt to work when I want, think I'll stay and just hook 'em. Or hire a ole timer around here to build some slat traps. Be kinda hard to give up this place. Google Gaskin Boat Ramp FL
You can bait them, but baits expensive. You'll catch fish most of spring in current without bait in hoop nets. With Blues, and channel cats however you will definitely catch more with bait. Lake fishing for channel cats we always bait
You think that's something, wait till you see what we bout to do with these tenderloins. Boneless Buffalo Tenderloins!!! Should be rolling out in short and long form videos soon!!!
Wings would be horrible in current. They will work in still water, but not even sure they are legal in some states. More trouble than they worth in my opinion
I'm full as a tick right now!!! Just had fried BONELESS Buffalo strips!!! Coming in a video soon. Ribs, fried patties in a previous video, and boneless strips soon
Hello, my name is Mark, I live in El Dorado. I was wondering if your deer camp was looking for any new members? I'm 57, and I'm on disability. interested in killing a deer more interested in sitting in a stand and watching deer. I am also interested in good Christian fellowship. At some point this year or next year, I'm selling out and moving to a lake somewhere. Just a thought.
We're full up, but there are plenty hunting opportunities in the El Dorado area. Some nice fishing lakes in South Arkansas as well. From time to time I see adds for clubs on Eldoark. Also you can look at Weyerheausers web page under recreation and find lease properties there in your area. Good luck finding something and thanks for watching
That sounds good. I'll keep looking just hard to find the right crowd. Most clubs have a group of men that put too much stock in drinking and passing out around camp for me. I don't mind the drinking so much , but the going overboard is the problem. You put out some good videos. Keep up the hard work, and may the good Lord keep blessing you and your family.
Very informative on using the bigger nets. I'm using the wire nets and may get a bigger net one day. Thanks, great info as usual...
Thanks to you for watching!! Good luck
Love your videos brother here in Arkansas
Thanks!!
Thanks again for another awesome video I really enjoyed it and as always I'm really looking forward to seeing the next video
Next one's gonna be good!!
Great and helpful information 👍🏽
Glad we can help no more than we know🤣🤣
love your videos here in simsboro
Thanks, I used to work in Simsboro at Weyeheauser. The good old days!!
fantastic video, I am still anxiously awaiting the next part of the wire trap construction. I think I am going to attempt it.
At this point I'm anxiously awaiting🤣🤣🤣. Life throws us curve balls some times but it's coming
Love the channel👍you guys do what i do and make it look easier, new subscriber.
Thanks for watching!!! Glad you found the channel
Great video. Love the hoop net fishing videos.
Thanks!!

Thanks Roy, I just got a knife and some fillets and figured it out. Maybe we do it justice in the videos coming up. Definitely will help some out
Like the videos.
Thanks!!
That’s a good haul.
I’m running a little behind this year. But, should get going this weekend.
I hope.
Get them going before you run out of water🤣
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 no joke. It’s dropping so fast. Hard to believe we were boating home just a few days ago.

They sure fine!!! Thanks for watching
Good stuff. Time for you to start thinking about writing a book on “ how to be a modern day man with an old school soul”.

Great video man! What’s the longest you’d leave a net out?
I go 7 days in winter months. May when it goes to warming, you gotta shorten that up

Ha, with freezer full of white perch and flat head who needs all that work for buffalo.
Great video tho

Yeah don't loose your license, but I'd prob move🤣🤣🤣

Them cold water buffalo gonna be good eating for sure. Rivers here gonna need some water in them, starting to fall out already
Man it's fell 5 feet in a week down here😳
I thought the net needed bait, cheese or cotton seed?
You can bait them, but baits expensive. You'll catch fish most of spring in current without bait in hoop nets. With Blues, and channel cats however you will definitely catch more with bait. Lake fishing for channel cats we always bait
What would you suggest for a beginner wire nets or the big hoop nets ??
Definitely wire nets if legal in your area. However, 3 ft hoop nets are Def manageable and easy to learn with and catch plenty fish
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 what’s the biggest diameter of wire nets have you built??
A little Slap Ya Mama and some Uncle Chris’ rolled in some La fish fry make those ribs mighty tasty.
You think that's something, wait till you see what we bout to do with these tenderloins. Boneless Buffalo Tenderloins!!! Should be rolling out in short and long form videos soon!!!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638Looking forward to the boneless Buffalo recipe. We have needed that for years. 😂
@ChrisSmith-nh8hf I'll try getting the short out this week. We filmed it yesterday. They are fine
Why not put wings on the nets, would that catch more fish or less?
Wings would be horrible in current. They will work in still water, but not even sure they are legal in some states. More trouble than they worth in my opinion
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 suckerfishing in maine, we use. Hoop nets with wings on them. With chain on bottom of the wings
@brendencowan6203 I've never done that. Guess it could be done in a lake
What do you do with the buffalo?
I'm full as a tick right now!!! Just had fried BONELESS Buffalo strips!!! Coming in a video soon. Ribs, fried patties in a previous video, and boneless strips soon
Where can I get a net like that..
You can Google Net fishing supplies. We're not sponsored by any, so I'm not promoting any. You can also look on FB marketplace

@marknew4246 Agreed on the overboard part, lol. It's almost better to find a small parcel to lease privately. I've been there before
