John thank you so much for in my opinion the best fishing videos on TH-cam. I’m in the ER dealing with some very serious heart issues as I write this. I live in Alaska and really miss fishing for bass panfish and catfish and your videos really help me make it from day to day with my health issues. Stay safe and stay strong and remember to always look to God
Nice way to spend an hour. Or even just 15 minutes. Im always impressed at the fun you have, no matter what you catch! You remind me of the joy to be had with a fishing pole and a little bit of water.
John, Anytime you can catch fish in January it's a Great Day For Fishing. Thanks for sharing and letting me tag along with you. Outstanding Video as all your videos are. God Bless You.
Any time you can get out in the winter with short sleeves should be fishing weather. Mixed bag of panfish on an ultralight even better. Thanks for taking us along brother. Blessings John
That looked like so much fun. A great ultra lite combo is just hard to beat. I was using that same reel on a Lew's 6' Ultra Lite "lite" series rod. So much fun! I replaced the reel with a Stradic! Sooooo smooth. Loved that Miravel too, but it developed a little click (not audible, just a series of little "bumps" in the retrieve) that I kept thinking was fish hitting until I figured out it was the reel. Since I had some birthday $$$ I just went ahead and upgraded on the return. I sure wish I could find places like that around where I live. Just gotta keep looking! It just seems that everything around here is ponds on properties that are all residential residences. I still haven't found any creeks with places where it seems safe to park! Thanks for sharing. White Bass on ultra lite are one of my favorites! When I lived in Texas I used to fish the spawning run up a local creek every Spring! Blessings!
This is my favorite kind of video you shoot. Small creek fishing and the trouble you are willing to go to to do it are what got me to subscribe. I live in Mississippi and it tickles me what you consider to be muddy water.
I know you love bass fishing kinda like myself being a striper guy at heart but theres something really special about those gloomy wet but warmer winter days when you truly get into the panfish. After a couple weeks of miserable cold you get that magical day it may be one day it may be a week but word gets out and all the fisher folk line the banks doing their best to catch a stringer of supper. I guess if you break it down and take all the big spending on equipment boats etc... thats our true roots of fishing especially here in the south.
Pardon my celebration, Brother John, but I just saw where you made it to 150,000 Subscribers!!! Congratulations!!! As they say in some Churches, I'm Shoutin' Happy for you!!! Now:Keep on a'goin' on to the next level, whatever that level is, and keep "Reelin' 'em in"!!! God bless you and your family. Keep the True Faith!!!
Tried getting out this weekend big river southern Missouri. Water was flowing lord knows she needed it. Heading back down this weekend. Another great video rich. Keeps me motivated
Awesome little trip for this time of year. Looked like fun. Looking for some new ultralight gear. Looks like a nice setup. Definitely check the link out. Thanks for sharing
Oh my, they're hungry. Love the content and the double. You fish in the mouth of that Creek and then when you caught the white bass. I think I got more excited than you did, I think I would have been hoping for a heavier set up in the car lol
hi John, i always enjoy your fishing posts...i moved from ny to Tennessee and was hoping i could do some of your creek fishing but where im at i dont really see uour type of fishing. I'm really close to Cordell Hull area and i think the water is still too cold to find the blue gills or crappie (ive sure been trying) do have any idea where i could find creeks like you fish? i love bluegill fishing and iltra light fishing bit jave been kinda disappointed... hoping things will get better. thank you for sharing your awesome videos!
That's about the same tech I was using today for trout. If you're ever in the St Louis area gimme a holler. I can put ya on some nice trout and crappie right now.👍😄
Thank you for sharing the video. we enjoy watching the video looking forward to the next video is there a size limit on blue gill also what are the measurement are they need to be 12 in and above like crappie
2lb line on ultra light setups is amazing for soooooo many species. Falcon x slab series ultralight, shimano vanford, 2lb hybrid braid to 1lb maxima leader. Best way to fish
@3:27 Reminds me of.... (Double Rainbow) th-cam.com/video/OQSNhk5ICTI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L2ayRhZuepkJUpio and th-cam.com/video/MX0D4oZwCsA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DBR-mOSPg9QPeeqT Great catch!

Now that was a day of fishing right there🐟🎣🐟🎣
Nice January fishing video. At least you are catching fish. Like the double rig setup and great double catch. Wow!
Those Itty Bit jigs and lures are always fun. Those fish were munchin!
im going to have to try live minnows also soon

You lucky dog, you John! 30 in Indiana water high and flowing fast. Can only hope gotta get some heat.
Right, no ice fishing for me...too cold in IN😊
It's gonna be near 40 in Southeast Michigan this week. The creeks are high from the snow melt, but ima give it a go.
Great to see you out there ulta-liten'. And thanks for all the links.

The verse at the end. That gave me a lot of relief in today's times.
Thanks for the vids ! Nice to watch fishing videos without live scoping .
Good stuff, as always, John!.. ..and yes, Lure Net is very good as I have ordered stuff from them and they have a great selection and good prices! :-)
I found one of those mud dauber jigs you were using laying on one of the bridge beams. Totally not going to make a video with it 😂
Oh yeah I forgot I laid one there
Glad you had a great day fishing! Have fun at your fishing expo!
Hello. I download your videos and my wife and I watch them while eating dinner. Thanks for the enjoyable content.
Sometimes you have to work your way through the small ones to get to the bigger ones. Looked like a fun day of fishing, every fish is fun to catch.
5 species, love the variety vids, especially the panfish ones
It was great to get to meet you at the fishing expo!
Saw the video with Spencer also - awesome job!
Another solid video and 2lb line doubling bluegill is wild 😂
that blacknose/blackline crappie you caught was really cool, i've never caught one
Nice video
I was catching some sunfish in a back yard pond today
But these are almost all hybrid
Mainly I was catching them for catfish bait
Great show as usual sir. Nice double-up!
That's about the same tech I was using today for trout. If you're ever in the St Louis area gimme a holler. I can put ya on some nice trout and crappie right now.👍😄
You got 28 minutes of footage out of an hr and that's pretty good.
Truly enjoyed this one
Great video John .
Can you show a video how to make the double rig looks killer 🤙🏻
That looks so fun!! Awesome.
Man that's cool catching 2 at once!!!
What a day of fishing, just about every cast, the crappie are glad your not keeping them😂
How do you rig your jigs? Is it just a palomar with the rest out through the eye? This looks like something I’d like to start using.
loop not on top one and uni knot is my normal knot
Awesome thank you
Good day, thanks for sharing. Stay safe and have a Blessed Day.
Good stuff. Would love to see some micro fishing too..
Good place for crappie nibbles Jon!!!! Wooooooo weeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Nice. 2 lb is underated by most. I caught a 7.2 LM on 2 lb Stren with a Renowsky Keystone minnow.
Very nice!
Big bluegill if you doubled up on that 2lb line I could only imagine how fun that would be
What type of bait are you using for those bluegills?
Just makes me want to go out and hit the creek. Still been pretty cold here in Ohio but I’m gonna head out soon anyways 🎣
Thank you for sharing the video. we enjoy watching the video looking forward to the next video is there a size limit on blue gill also what are the measurement are they need to be 12 in and above like crappie
ni size limit on bluegill, they rarely get over 9 inches
Jhon you are my best fishermen,,look evry video,,,saludos desde Hermosillo Sonora Mexico
Could you recommend a place to go and catch jumbo perch
Dude, you gotta get Rudd into some bluegill fishing. Seemed to really enjoy the trout fishin. FJB
its a process but we are slowly getting him away from the bass only stuff haha
Caught some really big fish on 2lb trout magnet sos line
Damn the double blue gill was cool. I started fishing 3 weekends ago and I can’t seem to catch a thing. I’m definitely doing something wrong.
keep at it, you will get it figured out
@@CreekFishingAdventures I appreciate it!
Is there such a thing as a Blue Gill Season ?
Ah a true test... Bluegills on two lb test screams someone needs the fight
what reel were you using
I have caught some big carp while fishing for bluegill on 2 pound line.
Probably some white bass out in the mouth 15 yards or so.
Love it man
Awesome Job
Awesome video!
Great video
Those are good bait fish.
Have fun
2lb line on ultra light setups is amazing for soooooo many species. Falcon x slab series ultralight, shimano vanford, 2lb hybrid braid to 1lb maxima leader. Best way to fish

Bluegill deve ser o parente da nossa piaba aqui no Brasil

What a great day of fishing if I say so myself
Before you try the double rigging trick check your state's wildlife code to make sure it's legal in your state.
