Bradley: the ribs were always a favorite of mine til I tried the tenderloins. In my humble opinion, they are great and most people would never know that they came from buffalo. As always, thanks for a very good video! Roy
The tenderloin is one of the most underestimated pieces of fish because of the bones. I share the opinion of not liking to deal with those bones as well, but I'll solve that issue in an upcoming video😉
I used to fish Tensaw river with a old fella named derwood gill nets big Buffalo and slat traps lots of fun 25vsom odd years ago Buffalo ribs are dam good love yalls videos
I need to do a straight up Buffalo Rib video. (Catch, clean, cook) Buffalo Ribs
Derwood on hunter bend south tallaha
@mickeyjarnevich8754 I ain't real sure what you saying🤣
Enjoying the videos, trying to learn how to use nets,
Thanks, we should definitely have enough videos to help ya out!!
I agree show cleaning and cooking buffalo.really enjoy these net and fishing videos. Keep them coming.
Yes sir. Next up, Buffalo Catch * Clean *Cook!!! And this cook is gonna be a special one for people wondering what to do with those troublesome tiny bones in the fillet!!!
Luv the videos
Do a Buffalo cookin and share more info.
I anxiously wait for your videos to be posted.
I’m two hours north of Texarkana and this is my kind of lifestyle, so keep ‘em comin.
Yes sir, already in the editing stage!!! Coming to you soon!!! Thanks for watching, commenting, encouraging!!!
I feel your pain. That'll make your ole back hurt for sure. But, I do love it. My hands were sore from this past weekend and I hope this weekend will be the same way.
Keep putting them video's out. I'm never to old to learn something from everybody.
I always say I learn every trip. When we quit learning, we die. Hopefully we learn for years to come!!! Thanks Terry
Always great videos with a lot of information. Glad you educate as well as entertain.
Yes sir, thanks. I'm trying to make it so it's natural for me to talk more about the process as we do our thing. Struggled with that in the beginning, but trying to do a better job on that. The comments help us realize a lot about adding to the content in that way. Thanks for watching!!!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638
You doing a great job
@@kennethvaughan8195 Thanks!!
Too much like work !!
That made my day
Thanks for the video s.
That day was work, lol. Thanks for watching
That’s a good way to throw your back out too trying that mess by yourself. Great video y’all.
Yes sir. I see these younger guys with back trouble and cringe at the thought. Previous injuries have caused me to be a lot more careful than years past. I still push the limits, but definitely take more precautions these days. Fishing buffalo, probably was not a precaution🤣🤣🤣
Awesome catch, love North Louisiana
It's a blast, but it's getting crowded these days. Still great, but different than it used to be, lol
Throw the drag high and let the current push the drag down river over the throat rope. It helps when the water is high and fast. You probably already made a heavier drag.
I do, but it will still pass over. I've made a monster of a drag now. You'll see it in some of the videos. Twice the size of single shaft
Would like to see you cook up some buffalos
Tomorrow mornings video 7:30 am release time!!!
fantastic video you two! Be safe!
Yes sir. Just gotta learn to focus more and slow down the older we get. Getting to where we aren't as durable as we used to be, lol
Awesome video, ive never eaten buffalo fish, what is its flavor compared to?
Man I'm not sure how it can be Cajun adventures if you never are Buffalo 🤣🤣🤣. Just kidding. It's really not comparable to anything to me. Guess that's why it's delicacy to most. Ribs are firm meat with unique taste. Fillets are very boney, but delicate flakey meat. They just good. Best fresh if you can get some. I'll be doing a video soon on deboning the tenderloins!!
Got my young and early (56 years ago) but a fear of water and the bright lights have kept her from hunting & fishing with me. You are truly a blessed man from that standpoint. What do you make with Buffalo, fish cakes?
That's awesome, seeing you couples set examples for future generations. I'm afraid today's younger generation, many will miss out on the due to not developing relationships as they should. Times are changing, and it's not all good. Hopefully with our bond, love for the same things in God's Creation, and year of health as a gift from the Almighty, we too make it to see 56+ years together. Your right on the mark on our Buffalo eats, but I don't want to spoil the next video 😉. God Bless you
Is that the Ouachita River you are fishing on?
Yes sir!!
I dont care what type of fishing rod reel nets its all fishin love yall
We do it all in the videos because that's the way it rolls out. We are always after them some way. We just enjoy all ways to fish!!
Awesome videos Brother I think you need a boom on that boat l o l
🤔, Maybe so to get those heavy icechest out🤣
👍It's the buffalo migration. Are they good eatin'?
Yes sir, Absolutely!! They been spawning. The next video on Buffalo will have one of our favorite recipes, and I'd put it up against any fish on the planet!!! Buffalo use to be a main staple of settlers and explorers across these parts. It's a shame that it's such an under-utilized resource these days. People starving to death and literally billions of pounds of them stacked up in our river systems. We always knew they were plentiful, but today's technology (Livescope) shows us just how plentiful they are while crappie fishing in the summer months. Thanks T!!!
How long do you let em sit before checking?
Weather and water temperature decides that
7 days in cooler weather, 4-5 when it's warmer
Awesome catch!
Thanks!!
Danielle about picked on the wrong net lol. It goes from fun to work loaded like that. With those loads of fish, we typically get a couple guys on it and roll the net up, seems to help. Buffalo ribs in the near future.
It just wasn't happening with me and her. We figured out real quick to just pour some back till we could get the rest in. We kept all we wanted to dress anyways. Believe it or not, upcoming recipe is gonna be better than ribs!!! 😉😉
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 I’m sure it was more fish and heavier than the video can show. I’ve seen them taken to the bank before. I know some fellas started using wenches. I love some buffalo ribs, that’s gotta be a good recipe! Can’t wait
@@RaisedOutdoors I'd have a winch if commercial for sure. I'd estimate well over 500 lbs in two of those nets before we dumped them back. Video don't do justice. You gotta figure 75-100 head at average 10 lbs each. Yeah a lot of weight, lol
Have you ever tried to can the Buffalo fish? I've always wanted to try it.
I have not, but it's definitely possible. No doubt it would be worth doing. We may try to set up in the future and do some. Several ways to fix it once done also. One recipe coming in the next video😉
What kind of cheese bait are you using???
No bait for Buffalo this time of year. Just gotta get the right nets in the right spots where they run
Would they have lasted one more day in the Last 2 nets ?
Maybe, but it would have been pushing it, LoL
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Throwing them Back as Y’all do is Good Management of Resources.
We eat a lot of fish, but we throw back plenty as well. No waste for sure
Thanks for sharing
No problem. Thanks for watching!!!
Hi did you ever try canned buffalo,it is delicious .Take the loins and boney pieces cut then up pack them in quart sterileised jars with one teaspoon of unlodised salt,3tbs,of vinegar cook in a pressure canner one and half hours at 15 lbs of pressure .they will keep for years
We eat the Fillets, but have not tried canning yet. Been thinking about it. We will be doing our recipe on them in an upcoming video, and it will similarly solve the bone issue!!! Thanks for the suggestion, it might be a future video. Appreciate the comments, and Thanks for watching!!!
I have an older friend who cans a lot. We scale the fish and then we fillet it. He also likes to peel off the silver side of the fillet. Then he cuts it into chunks and cans it. The bones dissolve. Great on crackers!
@@thomaswalker842 Seen in the comments where several people can it. I'm gonna have to try that. Gotta be better than canned tuna🤣🤣🤣
Nice catch..
Thanks, love me some Buffalo!!!
Heck, here in Illinois when I was fishing for Buffalo in the spring, we would run around 50 nets a day and have anywhere between 2000 and 5000 pounds a day, no limit here and that's when I made money, same way with channel cat when the started to spawn.
We only have limits if we are on our recreational license. Commercial is no limit. I should have clarified that. Thanks for watching!!!
@God's Country Hunting & Fishing we can't fish hoop nets here with a recreational license, have to have a commercial license and buy a tag for every net.
Is the buffalo good to eat
Absolutely, and we're gonna show you just how good in the next Buffalo video!!!
Alot of work there buddy
Yes sir, definitely not for everyone. Hopefully in the next video on Buffalo we show the worth of the reward!!! One of our favorite recipes coming soon!!!
Can we get a how to clean that Buffalo and what’s best parts on it please sir !
Already in the world. We have one video on the channel already on cleaning buffalo though. Click on the video list on the main channel page and scroll down. I get pretty detailed in that one. Should have the new one out by next week. Thanks for watching!!!
Anyone would have needed help with them last 2 nets. That was quite the haul with some beautiful Buffalo ! Is the ribs the only edible part of the Buffalo? I know it all taste good but good Lord all them little bones !
Next Buffalo video will be Catch * Clean * Cook, and we're gonna show you how to solve the tiny bone issue!!!
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638
That sounds great. Looking forward to that one also.
thank you
Thank you for watching!!
Buffalo better eatin than cats my oponion
I cannot disagree with you on that. There are many people that feel the same way
oh yeah
One of the first things I remember eating as a kid over 40 years ago was Buffalo Ribs!!!
I wish I had a plate of fried buffalo.
Me too. Getting close to time!!!
Hard to get em back out of that throat.
Yeah, don't think I built that net🤣🤣🤷
Can I buy some Buffalo fish from you
We are commercial licensed, but It's not something we focus on. With my work, I just don't have time to pedal fish. What part of the country you in, maybe I can steer you in right direction
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638 Tampa Bay Florida
@johnk.9002 🤣🤣🤷🤷, I got no idea down there. Florida got bunch restrictions on net fishing. Probably closest you'd find buffalo is Alabama
Lot of buffalo you must sell fish.
I don't sell fish right now. I give a few to some friends that wanted some, then we clean the rest. I'll be showing how to utilize the fillet in an upcoming video!!! We also keep a few for Crawfish bait. It's one of the best crawfish baits there is!!!
Yeah I don't like your type of fishing I'll stick with rod and reel
It's not for everyone, lol
@@godscountryhuntingfishing1638I like it. Big bone buffalo ribs are much better than catfish and compare with crappie
@Bf26fge You hit nail on the head!!
Are Ya'll Racist?? JUST ASKING??
I'm not exactly sure why you'd think we were, or would even ask that, by watching our films. We have viewers and Subscribers world wide of many different races, and that's never been a question. God Bless
