In college I took a speech class.... My teacher Told us we could do a speech on anything we wanted to... Well I did a report about serial killers.. Let's just say my class was grossed out and my teacher almost failed me... To this day I think it's one of the best speeches i've ever gave..
I don't think I've mentioned the fact that I'm so happy for finding you guys on youtube and it's always fun to watch each video.I love it so much, you guys are so sweet.
Met the owner of Graveface at the Oddities expo in Atlanta recently. Would love to visit his shop in Savannah and I fully plan on doing so! Sidenote - Victorian hair art wasn't all of the mourning type. I have seen tons of family hair wreaths over the years, with strands from multiple individuals. I own a few mourning hair art pieces myself. Mourning art will have some sort of memorial inscription or specific funerary symbolism within the art itself, like a laurel wreath, weeping willows, an urn, etc.
Omg the art done with the hair… bone chilling and amazing at the same time! Also the things you can buy there… I sat there wondering what was going through your head about how big your house would have to get to fit everything in there! “I need this, and this… oooooh yeah this I need this too!” Yesssss this whole place is scary cool and the attention to detail like the other one as well this one has so much in it! And the renting of the movies! Was like paradise! Never ending! That movie you watched with your dad was a cute little memory relived, my grandpa helped my mom raise me and was the only father figure I had growing up and there’s little things like that, that would connect me to him still. And I definitely am with Baby Ghoul at the end there her reaching up to grab the movie off the top shelf and it being the above all favorite of the group, I’m short too so imagine all the cool movies I’d miss just because they are out of reach! Haha, ya also gotta make room for all of those pinball machines! One day you guys’ house will be the next museum and the destination everyone wants to visit! I know I’d be first in line! Thank you for this wonderful adventure besties! Much love always and safe travels to every adventure! 🐰👻🦇🥰💕
I love when you guys say you need this or that in your house! When you guys retire you should turn part of your house into a museum. I'd definitely show up for that ❤
“Momento Mori” I love it!!! It’s sad to think how many of these Victorian Era oddities were dumped into local landfills- and are still there- under layers of other, newer, discarded heirlooms and belongings that people would just throw away when clearing out the home of loved ones who recently died. Most or all of these things would just end up rotting away in a basement or something, so it’s just easier to get rid of it rather than trying to integrate other people’s curios into our own space… And many of us know this from personal experience as well as I do… with much regret as the years go by… Now I want it all back!!
i know you let her know often but do me a favour and tell jessica she looks so beautiful and comfy in her outfit, and i love her hearing her takes is very refreshing. lovely woman!!!
Me and a 2 of my bestfriends went to grave face in chicago 2 days ago for the first time.I seen this video and knew this store was right up our alley.I love your videos !
Man you guys are at 550k subs like wow. Been watching since before 100k i cant recall but still love the content hope one day yall can relax from all that road trips you guys do year around. Hope yall come to Vegas back soon for a con or something would love to meet yall. 🙏
There are lots and lots of TH-cam channels, but only very few know how to hold and control the camera . This is one of the good ones. Long ago I took classes to become a camera operator. My fantasy was to make it in Hollywood, but I went on a different path, I remember my teacher always saying the cameras are the eyes of the audience. Just imagine if the audience were asking you what they wanted to look at when you're in a room or outside looking at something in particular. I'm not explaining myself, but I get my point. Lots of TH-camrs move the camera too fast. This channel has great video excellent camara work.
My hubs and I watch your vids and love them! We really like that your not only husband and wife, but a team. Thank you both for being entertaining and so cute! Xo Happy Halloween!
Yeah I grew up in Chicago and always hung out downtown, I’m a big death metal head and love this kind of thing but I’ve never once heard of this place. It must be new! I’ve got to check it out
Ok 5 favorite horror movies....Demons 1 and 2, Night of the Demons (my favorite of the favorites), House of 1000 Corpses and Rob Zombies Halloween. Best remake ever done. And a rule I'm a purist and HATE remakes. I also own the entire Subspecies series. :)
I really love these unique places. I’m so glad this second one is open . The history in the artifacts are right up my alley! By the way… Dead Alive! Yeah! Thank you as always, Michael and Jessica❤️
Love the tour of this Graveface museum you two. Also, when you guys went into the basement of that place and started looking for movies to watch, that is what I would do when I go to thrift stores trying to find movies to buy. I would be mind blown like you guys as well. The Movie Funhouse and Cursed are those movies that I haven't watched yet and it's on my watch soon list, are they any good? And while you guys were picking out movies to watch, I came up with my own top 5 and maybe some of them are favorites of yours as well. #1. The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959) is has Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee in it, #2. Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984), #3. Bicentennial Man (1999), #4. The Evil of Frankenstein (1964) & finally for my #5 pick, Halloween (1978). Hope you guys love my Top 5 list and I can't wait to see what museum or gravesite you guys will go next. Stay safe on your travels and on your way back home.
You know? despite of the amazing thrill I get ever following you guys, I can´t help but run and see/rent/acquire all films pointed out in your videos. Apart of Suspiria, which of course is the most psychedelic-horror-thrilling picts of all time, and that soundtrzck performed by the Goblins, I find always amazing your recommendations. This is the only time I get cheerful, otherwise secluded in a place that I don´t belong to, alone and sad. Wish I could find someday anybody to be friend with. BUt ironic fate has given me the most special treatment ever concocted. Again all my love to you...
This was sooo fun to watch. What a cool place. And that you can also rent movies !!!!! And the size of the collection!!!! Thank you both for doing this video . Just wish it was local for me. And Jessica I am going to watch 2 of your choices ; night breed & cursed. Love you both.
Saw in the dvds a copy of "El Topo".That was featured in a documentary about midnight movies from the 70s."El Topo qas a favorite of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.Another fine video from my birthplace.
We really need to get there, it looks so much fun. Thank you for sharing it. We come from the Sideshow world so anywhere that has so much history on that subject is surely on our bucket list. It is funny that they have that Dracula pinball machine, we were actually playing it yesterday here on Long Island. The little Dracula figure inside the machine really made us laugh, he is so cartoony.
Love Plan 9 and Bram Stoker's Dracula. Other movies I love are North by Northwest, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Life of Brian and my uber fav is Time Bandits. Fav horror may be Creepshow. Watched that so much once upon a time. And Halloween. Oh and I used to love Heavy Metal but I think it didn't age well except for the B52 horror sequence. That stayed amazing.
Omg Monster Squad is the best. Like goonies vs basically universal monsters and evil😂. If they had Sleepaway Camp i would of had to choose it just for the ending alone. Definitey a werewolf movie cause they're my favorite monster by far
❤❤My Dear Grimm. Great museum . Fascinating Artefacts.Jessica, I l❤ve Victoriana, especially Mourning art And jewellry.Wonderful❤ l❤ve your melancholy music.Cool Store❤ l❤ve you my Dark Explorers❤❤
I always watch Funhouse when it's on. Watched "Freaks" on TCM one late night. That was one of he saddest, creepiest movies I think I have ever watched due to those people actually being real. Oh yes the Subspecies series was my favorites also. Full Moon pictures.
Growing up my dad would take us for rides everywhere. In the mid 90's he took us past the Gacy house (his old address anyway). My dad was a great storyteller and swore that a likeness of Gacy offered him a ride when he was a teenager in the 70's, which he turned down. (I've caught a few of his fibs as I got older, but I miss hearing his stories whether they were true or not)
Wow, that was an amazing museum. I loved those paintings of The Seven Dwarfs. Did you buy anything, Jessica? What about the Dracula Pinball Machine 😂❤❤❤❤My favourite game 🎮 is Pac Man & Space Invaders.😂😂
You know you guys go to the bestest places!!! I only wish i could visit the places you and Jessica go to. Close to me is the Mutter Museum... which ive visted many times.
Now let me get this straight, you met the cast of Nightbreed and didn't film it... too busy enjoying the experience I guess but wow am I jealous! Having got that out the way, fabulous exploration of a fascinating collection so much I would want to buy, the curator had such joy for his job it was oddly adorable. Thanks for the tour Grimms.
Michael and Jessica are going to be at a con in Kentucky where the cast of Fright Night will be there! I’m hoping to go to that one myself. I do balloon animals on the side at various events and stuff, so I’m gonna have to hustle to get to that con so I can meet them and Grimm Life!
OMG such an amazing video. I specially love the end where you guys are picking out videos to rent. Jessica was picking out my faves I love the movie with radu. I love the bloodstone movies. And when she picked cursed. OMG. Me and Jessica would get along so beautifully
I hold channels like this very dear to my heart, it’s such a privilege to be able to explore awesome places like this through you! You are both so lovely too ❤🥰
I went to school with Lance lencioni from the band Macabre. His mom took him to the trial of Gacy!! I think they have an album just about Dahmer. Thanx for a new place for me to explore next trip to Chicago....I used to be downtown almost every weekend back in the day ( I'm 59)
I didn’t know about this thank you!! Hoping to check it out this weekend. Next time you’re in Chicago check out Ghoulish Mortals in the burbs maybe 45 minutes away from the city but it’s 2 floors of spooky awesomeness!
Extraordinary with those hair frames! I loved the Museum, so many wonderful things to see. Thank you both 🖤🖤 I enjoyed it! Happy Easter!🐰 Happy Halloween too!
Your channel popped up on my TH-cam feed. I enjoy all the stuff you are showing. With the movie selection you need to watch The Human Centipede. parts, 1, 2, & 3. I have seen part 1 & 2 I have not seen part 3 yet. Part 3 is hard to get and very expensive to buy.
HOLY MONKEY!!! GRIMMLIFE my wife is a HUGE FAN...and GRAVFACE are my Homies....from CHICAGO....(Scary Hand) Lol I Liked this video... seriously Graveface has DEAD ALIVE For Rent??? Lol
11:57 Nooooo, 😮 I had no idea that was Elena’s immediate fate. I thought she’d been secretly buried as soon as they’d acquired her body again. That’s so sad 😞 I love the sensitivity the guide showed about this story. MOST places tell that story like it’s a love story, not pegging the Doctor for the creep he was. This poor young woman wanted nothing to do with the Doctor in life, short of being respectful to him as the Doctor that showed her some grace in her illness.
Oh dude, I think you have found a winner in Chicago. I love that video. One of my cousins would love this place, man. One thing I gotta tell you. Tim Burton actually did a movie about Ed Wood. So he did recreations to Plan 9 From Outer Space. Again, top notch video as always.
Take it from someone who left Chicago as a teen, and now lives in Puerto Rico, where you need to have a car to go EVERYWHERE, I'd kill to now as an adult to just be able to hop on a train or the bus and just explore places without needing someone to drive me to places (I don't drive). You live in the best city with the best public transport. Go out and explore.
I could spend all day in that Place. Such a amazing museum with some awesome pieces. Some of those art pieces would go great in my apartment. Everyone always tells us that is ALWAYS halloween at my apartment
Im so glad i have you guys because i cant make it to these places.do you know of anything cool in Nashville Tennessee im close enuff to go there if you know of anything
yall should check out maple hill park also called the dead children's playground in Huntsville AL right beside the park is the largest cemetery in AL I went there a few times and that place is creepy they say the park and cemetery are both haunted there is also a back story on the park
Jessica I love the subspecies films, too! Thanks for showing the movie Cursed. Don't remember seeing that one. I love werewolf movie and books! The Monster Squad movie is the best, I sit down and watched it with my youngest. He follows my taste of movies, the scary or weird kind of movies!
Night Breed , Bram Stokers Dracula,Cursed, Escape From LA. What a cool place! P.S. I also love Queen Of The Damned. The score and the soundtrack are amazing. I did a portrait of Akasha that I'm pretty proud of. 😊
There is a book called Undying Love by Ben Harrison - it is the quintessential authority on the Count Von Cassel - Maria Eleanos story - it’s a fascinating bit of Key West history - check it out - great vlog Mike & Jess!
I’m in Chicago and that’s my kind of store. Have you guys ever been to the Alley? I loved that store before it closed. We would get our donuts and go shopping. Have fun!!
Oh wow what a great day time you two had 😊😊😊❤❤❤ ha Thankyou for sharing your adventure here never knew these places existed😮 totally enjoyed it ❤❤❤ Happy Halloween and Happy Easter 🐇 Thankyou Grimm Life Collective ❤❤❤❤
They have a lot of regular clown stuff there. The hobo clown doll was Emmet Kelly. He was an old time Ringling clown. Back then most clowns were performers who just got too old to be doing stuff like trapeze or high wire. But the only life they’ve ever really lived was the circus life, so they stick around and become clowns. When John Ringling North sold the circus to Irving Feld in the mid-60’s, Feld discovered his YOUNGEST clown was fifty-eight years old! So, wanting to teach a new generation of clowns he created the Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey Clown College. There a group of thirty or so students learned the art of clowning. The graduation would be a big clown show at the end of the term (which was on average ten weeks) and the Felds would then handpick which students got to join the show. One student from the class of 1974 was not picked. He instead teamed up with a former high school teacher and began touring around the country doing magic shows. Now he’s known as the tall, talkative half of the most famous magicians performing right now, Penn Gillette of Penn & Teller!
In college I took a speech class.... My teacher Told us we could do a speech on anything we wanted to... Well I did a report about serial killers.. Let's just say my class was grossed out and my teacher almost failed me... To this day I think it's one of the best speeches i've ever gave..
eff that 'teacher' especially since you're an adult and it was college not elementary school.
He literally told you it could be on anything you wanted. His own fault he should've put stipulations
Yeah I don't think she expected a girl like me to do a report like that..
Wassup with all this interest in serial killers you little freaks
I did my" extemporaneous"(off the top of my head) speech in college about SFX artists!😁
I don't think I've mentioned the fact that I'm so happy for finding you guys on youtube and it's always fun to watch each video.I love it so much, you guys are so sweet.

I miss the 60’s-90’s. I feel like humanity peaked over those 3 decades.

They have a rental. Doubt they can afford a house in Pedowood.

Another great video Michael and Jessica! I would be in that building all day looking at that selection of movies.
Those Gacy paintings chilled me to the bone.
You know Gacy would have gotten off on your statement 😂
Same. God he was disgusting.

saving this video since I’m planning on heading here during the summer, but super cool you’re showing off both locations
Growing up my dad would take us for rides everywhere. In the mid 90's he took us past the Gacy house (his old address anyway). My dad was a great storyteller and swore that a likeness of Gacy offered him a ride when he was a teenager in the 70's, which he turned down. Oh wow I knew I heard Galaga sounds in the background!! Cool Video thanks for sharing.
I heard that too and got freaked out for a minute. I own several arcade cabs including Galaga and I thought it had come on by itself!😂😂
@@Thehorrortheterror Yeah, I myself was wondering why I kept hearing Galaga in the background of the video. However, I totally understand why now!! :)
That film collection is insane 😮

Jessica I love the subspecies films, too! Thanks for showing the movie Cursed. Don't remember seeing that one. I love werewolf movie and books! The Monster Squad movie is the best, I sit down and watched it with my youngest. He follows my taste of movies, the scary or weird kind of movies!

There is a book called Undying Love by Ben Harrison - it is the quintessential authority on the Count Von Cassel - Maria Eleanos story - it’s a fascinating bit of Key West history - check it out - great vlog Mike & Jess!
