The Dark Knight Trilogy was not just the perfect superhero trilogy, but it was an inspiration. A motivation to strive towards justice and hope. To face your fears, to fight the chaos, and to rise when you fall.
Nope. Its average at best. I spent the last three days rewatching the trilogy and they are not perfect or masterpieces. Batman Begins is by far my favorite of the trilogy though. The Dark Knight is so overrated and just above average. Dark Knight Rises? Meh The thing about these movies is that it takes itself either way too seriously or tries so hard to have Batman and his mythos to be so realistic and it fails. I love serious dark DC films but while I respect Nolan for reviving the Batman movie franchise and doing something different. He just didn't get it. Zach Snyder on the other hand blended a perfect amount of comic book feel and touches of realism aka Superman and how society would react to him for real and such Batman Begins however blended the comic world and realism together perfectly. But it all went down hill after that. Ledger is not a good Joker by any means - wanting Batman to unmask? Knowing everything like the school bus and stepping out of the way and plans succeeding? Not being jolly? The constant need of validation and to prove a point? Oh and the bank robbery scene? No. All FAILED!. Bale's Batman wanting Harvey to take his place to be with Rachel? Completely undermines why Batman does what he does. He does it not to just fight corruption selflessly but to ensure what happens to him dorsnt happen to anyone else As for Dark Knight Rises? It's a mess from start to finish. I did love Hardy's Bane and the fight to retake Chicago LOL cause that ain't Gotham by any means in the Nolanverse. There is no Robin and that Blake character some how knowing Bruce is Batman? Yeah ok.

People are either pretending that James Newton Howard didn't co-compose the score for both Batman Begins & The Dark Knight or they're not aware that he did. I always see people give all credit to Hans, James deserves credit too.
Simo Simo I’m sure you know this, but James wrote the Bruce Wayne side of the music and Hans the Batman side. I appreciate it all. I fully agree it’s sad James gets 0 credit.
Hans Zimmer is a fraud he runs a company called Remote Control Productions and has a team of ghostwriters that write movie scores as a unit and almost always credits Zimmer as the sole composer. Their entire process is very rarely discussed,
DC: "You really started something, Nolan. Marvel throwing out desperate popcorn flicks, hope in the Batman franchise restored." Nolan: "But?" DC: "But Man of Steel received poor feedback. Not to mention the MCU." Nolan: "MCU?" DC: "We make The Dark Knight, they make Daredevil. We start a new Superman, they beat us with a talking tree." Nolan: "And?" DC: "And you're not directing Batman anymore, and Snyder is rather questionable. Now take this guy, oscar winner, both best picture and direction. Got a taste for Batman like you. Likes to work out a lot." *Nolan flips the page to a picture of Ben Affleck* "...I'll look into it." DC: "We never said thank you." Nolan: "...and you'll never have to." *jumps off the roof*
Thank you, Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan. This beautiful music has allowed the Batman Trilogy to be timeless. We can watch years from now and they will remain classic masterpieces.
La trilogía de Batman dirigida por Christopher Nolan, es la más excelente del cómic de Batman. La música de Hans Zimmer es grandiosa, y la actuación de todos los actores es única. No creo que vayan a hacer un Batman más espectacular que este. Escribe Sergio Mora Jr.
Read all the reviews Filmtracks about Hans Zimmer's scores...WTF is wrong with them? They keep on saying that Hans cannot offer anything different...Sure he borrows from his own works, but listening to Gladiator, Prince of Egypt, The Last Samurai, Batman Begins and The Da Vinci Code...All unique and powerful in their own way
Well I agree with them a little bit, but I don't really think he has to offer anything different because this is simply amazing and so powerful and really emotional. And although they are very much alike they're also unique in their own way. He just has a very particular style I think.
Well...true that Zimmer is nothing like the chameleon James Newtown Howard...I swear each score he conjures up doesn't sound like himself...he doesn't have a sound that defines himself, unlike Zimmer
***** Well…He did borrow a lot from other composers, even classic legends like Wagner, but he made it his enough to be considered as being inspired by their works
i don't care what critics say . all that matters is what the listener thinks . they can give it any number they want but i love it . and right away you know when it's a Hans Zimmer piece . i love his scores . 6:58 might not thrill critics , but it gave me goosebumps .
peterdabest94 I understood it to mean that he was doing what he was doing because he wanted to, because it was the right thing to do. He wasn't doing it for the fame and attention, and he didn't expect it. Therefore: awesome awesome line.
how is it even possible to make music like this. This levels of dopamine released after listening to this must be similar to taking a hard drug. Genius
Agreed. I feel like becoming batman now. But I have heard that in order to become Batman, you must be valued at at least $600 million (mansion, cars, butler, bat gear, bat mobile, bat-suit, military training). Of course the real batman would also have several billion invested in stocks... Anyways,@3:41 and onward is absolutely beautiful (Favorite part at 4:45)
Don’t think Liam Neeson gets as much as credit for this movie as he should, everyone talks about Ledgers Joker and Hardys Bane but not about Neesons role from teacher to menacing villain. Great twist
01:28 "You have learned burry your guilt with anger, now I will teach you to confront it and to face the truth" - Ra's al Ghul That is the most powerfull line in my life until this day
The soundtrack makes you feel like Batman is a new legendary character...like King Author, Hercules, or Robin Hood. In 100 years, people will be debating if Batman was real or not...or if he was based on someone alive.
I think is mainly based on Counter Vlad Dracul of Valacchia. He has been depicted as vampire because of cruelty in punishing criminals and invaders, but in the end he protected his people. And there is another DC character inspired by Robin Hood.
@@ivanborgia3580 I think he may have more been based on The Shadow. Comic book characters (which is what Batman is) are generally based on successful characters in their recent past. In Batman's recent past was The Shadow and Superman. So a more visual version of The Shadow. And remember that comics used to be aimed at young children, not like today. Originally, Batman (drawn by Bob Kane) was a more colorful hero. The cowl, dark colors, and scalloped cape were invented by Bill Finger.
One of the reasons why I prefer Batman Begins over The Dark Knight is that Gotham is more defined. In The Dark Knight, Gotham could have been any city, but in Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan highlights several features of Gotham, making it really come to life.
It’s just this guy’s opinion respect it. I personally agree. They are both great movies but there is no denying that the Gotham of BB had a much darker feel to it.
+GhostFromSparta That is good and great but this is more sophisticated and subtle and adult. Listen to the Tumbler chase and the Batmobile theme from 1989 and you'll see how very different but similar they are.
Damian Howard No They aren’t overrated, they are great games and great representation of a batman’s character as a whole, lot except arkham knight thats just trash.
I never liked superhero movies because I thought they were just about action and thrill but after watching batman trilogy I came to know that there is more to them - emotion, sacrifice, love, heartbreak, inspiration you name it.
Most ppl think that but if you for example follow histories like Spider - man and so many other characters you will see so much tragidy and death even when they are trying to do better and be better than most. It´s always inspiring for me at least because no matter how hard is the world them they will always choose to save you no matter the personal cost. That´s what I'm looking for to see in super heroe movies at least.
here it is the movie that saved the batman franchise after what Batman and Robin did. This movie along with the whole trilogy masterpiece from start to end.
I spoke to my coworker - middle school orchestra director about how much I love movie soundtracks like this one by Hans Zimmer. He agrees they are great and brilliant in their own way. Thank you, Hans Zimmer! Due to your modern classic soundtrack, I feel confident I could watch this movie with my son in 20 years and it will have the same impact on him as it did me 13 years ago.♥️ No cheesy , current tunes just wonderful instrumental music to illustrate the tone and mood of the scenes.
5:08 Should have earn an Oscar only by this part. I think that the whole tale of Batman, and the life of many of us is told in this part. A big hug from Brazil!
Me. I have nothing against Affleck, but he was given a truly shitty Batman: moralless and hypocrite, he always acted out of character. I loved him before, but the more I see Batman v Superman, the less I like it.
When I’m sad or feeling depressed I put these movies on and focus on my MMA training and feel a lot better Batman maybe a fictional character but he’s helped me to get out of the darkness and back into the light
While Michael Giacchino's new Batman theme is absolutely amazing in how good it is and how it manages to pay homage to the most influential musical scores in Batman's history, I still hold Hans Zimmer's and JNH's work in high regard, this theme is incredibly "primal", for me, being one of the few soundtracks that makes Batman seem like a supernatural force or a mythical being!
Una locura ....Gótica se luce con Vale, Nolan ...Zimmer.... TODOS.... los actores!!! Lejos la mejor trilogía....cruenta, sensible, oscura....y llena de luz....!!!!
How can be possible that there are almost a thousand people that gave negative to this absolutely masterpiece? This soundtrack is pure genius. Zimmer, Thank you for fulfil my heart with joy and doing something that composer is not able to do. To produce the perfect music according to the film, scene, act, expression, emotion, reading of movements. That's perfection!
He was an inspiration many kids that are now adults, he is our batman. We should have an open mind on Robert Pattinson dawning the cowl and those others that follow. Its insane that because batman trilogy shook the movie industry, it lead to marvel-Disney earning billions.
Still all these years later a truly haunting, powerful, rage filled score. The perfect embodiment of the Dark Knight ever musically. "You didn't know my father." "But I know the rage that drives you."
I hear his signature in everything he does. He is great at capturing the right melody and rhythm for what's portrayed on screen. In this particular sound tract, I hear a bit of Pirates of the Caribbean and Last Samurai...
You are right :) I think too that there are some part which are similar to Last samurai. It might be because in my opinion the Last samurai's mentality attitude is nearly the same as Batman's. It's just my opinion. :)
6:00 i can imagine Batman looking up on a rainy night to see the bat symbol illuminate the sky for the first time knowing that there's trouble and that he has to take the responsibility of protecting gotham as Batman.
B. Wayne But I still don't think this movie is underrated, if anything the dark knight trilogy might be little bit overrated, but thats just my biased opinion

Ivan Divić absolutely. but he is also known for good other movie-charakters, so in my opinion he isnt only batman, like daniel craig is james bond or peter falk is columbo.

The Dark Knight trilogy is the best superhero films or trilogy in the world. I highly doubt it will ever be surpassed in any way possible.
I did enjoy Batman vs Superman but it was severely lacking something this franchise had
Amadeus Dredd yeah, a plot
I felt it had a plot but it was a kind of messy one and was also lacking the emotional center which Nolans trilogy had
As a crime drama/superhero film, I would have to agree. As a trilogy, it's good but there's still Star Wars (OG 1977-1983) and Lord of the Rings.
I love the batman trilogy but TDKR was bit of a let down honestly with the bar set by darknight so high... we needed something even better than the darknight to end the story which did not happen... Best Trilogy in my opinion will be The Lord of the Rings by far!
how can a piece of music have so much emotion and AMAZINGNESS without a single word??? when its by Hans Zimmer of course
Aaand.. James Newton Howard
Batman Begins with Christian Bale is the best, unsurpassed and will never be a better version. Hans Zimmer is not human, out of this world !
Also, not to forget the presence of Neeson, Caine, Freeman, Oldman... how you can top that ?
This Batman will last forever !

This movie is extremely underrated compare to The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.
My preference is
The Dark Knight > Batman Begins > The Dark Knight Rises
Overall, they are all great movies!
at least it's a Batman movie...
For me, this movie is good and better than the other superhero movies I've watched because until now there are no other superhero movies that able to deliver the 'impact' like how this movie (or trilogy) did..
+Supa Copper it's not a superhero movie tho... It's a Nolan movie about a vigilante with a wealthy secret identity which allows him to support his night time antics & also shares names with the Batman mythos but this is no Batman trilogy. I like the trilogy, they're amazing but they're Nolan films not comic book films if you get what I mean.
Best superhero origin movie imo.
I agree totally.

kiugras HONESTLY
It was James Newton Howard who composed it.
Marvel: We have 23 Movies.
DC: I'm Batman
no...... "Its not who I am underneath, but what I do that defies me"🦇🦇🦹🦹🗣🗣
People are either pretending that James Newton Howard didn't co-compose the score for both Batman Begins & The Dark Knight or they're not aware that he did. I always see people give all credit to Hans, James deserves credit too.
Simo Simo I’m sure you know this, but James wrote the Bruce Wayne side of the music and Hans the Batman side. I appreciate it all. I fully agree it’s sad James gets 0 credit.
Even I didn't know about that, thank for letting more people know about the people who worked in it.
Hans Zimmer is a fraud he runs a company called Remote Control Productions and has a team of ghostwriters that write movie scores as a unit and almost always credits Zimmer as the sole composer. Their entire process is very rarely discussed,
Thanks

Thank you, Hans Zimmer and Christopher Nolan. This beautiful music has allowed the Batman Trilogy to be timeless. We can watch years from now and they will remain classic masterpieces.

@presidentxijinpingofchina-8681and zack snyder's justice league it's a masterpiece also.
These critics are idiots! At least hes borrowing from his own works and not copying from others!

@Straight Busta Holmes was based mostly on a doctor that Conan Doyle studied under.

One of the reasons why I prefer Batman Begins over The Dark Knight is that Gotham is more defined. In The Dark Knight, Gotham could have been any city, but in Batman Begins, Christopher Nolan highlights several features of Gotham, making it really come to life.
