It’s a good idea. I know that some of the former devs from EA formed their own company and recently released a trailer for a street ball game called The Run Got Next, which is like NBA Street.
College Hoops is the way to go right now. College Football 25 gave them the blueprint to move forward with a college basketball game. EA needs to ensure gameplay is tight and start with a good base. I as a basketball fan really find myself not interested in the NBA as a whole right now. But college basketball both men's and women's has been jumping. I only plan on getting an Xbox Series console just to play the new college football game. I think EA should bring back college basketball, baseball, and football like in the PS2 era. EA once had the best baseball game of all time with MVP Baseball 2005. EA could own the college sports game market right now.
Live is ass. 2k didn't monopolize NBA ball, they dominated the competition until they were the last standing because not enough people wanted to play anything live.
casual. the motion on live was 100% better. the character models, stadium designs, lighting, and atmosphere was way better. AI defensive movement and offensive motion off of the ball was better. absolute casual
EA needs to fully commit to getting them licenses. All people want is a good functioning game with killer graphics and animations. I was a Live player way back in the day and your right about one thing. People either play myteam or mycareer. I only got into 2K because of the Park. Live has always had better graphics then 2k. All they need to do is put out the game and I promise you people will switch. 2k has too many flaws‼️
Hold on gee… I was a live player to up until live 10…. But did you really just said live had better graphics than 2K? And ain’t even gonna cap, despite 2Ks flaws, live had way too many flaws. Live 19 was the last decent one, but it is a reason they went on an on and off hiatus. Not saying that they can’t make a good game if they really tried, but overall they’re gonna have to prove that to everyone that they can still make a good basketball game. Haven’t heard anything since they announced it wasn’t gonna be a NBA Live 20 but also said they were still working on the series. Might end up seeing a comeback in the next couple of years maybe
@@lil_djprod.v2766 first time i played 2k after playing live for year i was shocked by the realism.. the way players moved etc not the graphics...both great games but i think he's revising history. 2K was the underdog that had to make a great game to beat Live who got lazy..never forget that
I think its a good idea. Could be low cost and make a lot of money. and, if they're even interested, it can lead to eventually becoming a licensed NBA/WNBA game. I think the things EA should consider, if they make a basketball game are: 1) The controls should feel familiar to 2k players. Their biggest consumer is gonna people coming from 2K. 2) They should consider trying to capitalize off of the streetball/amateur basketball wave that's fairly popular online these days. Guys that play in streetball/amateur "leagues" or tournaments constantly get posted by outlets like ballislife and bleacher report and stuff. Think people like Hezigod, White iverson, and Frank Nitty. That's a whole sector of basketball that 2K just doesn't really tap into. 3) I think they should generally try to not present themselves as a direct competitor to NBA2K. At least not at first. They're mindset should be "we're just a different game".
EA are dumb af. just make 5v5, 3v3 and 2v2 street court with characters that are similar to certain players.. and they come from a certain "street team" you can also choose professional rules vs street rule so technically everyone can play a rec style game outside, Look at PALworld.. Pokémon couldn't do shit even though we know they copied the format. If EA done that and the gameplay was actually on point...EVERYONE would be back on and give them enough money to get licencing again They're just lazy fam
2k could be good they just don’t wanna make a good game because mf buy it every time and spend money on vc anyways i actually see them probably going the route of just making the game free which they might aswell because the game goes on sale dirt cheap after just a few months or just ends up being free I’ve gotten 2k23 and 24 for free they just gonna keep pushing out the purchase vc to do anything and with my career only being online it seems that this is the route of the game now

The motion on live was stiff and robotic. Don’t know what you been playing.

It's over for NBA live😂😂😂 we just need to let it go because we all know EA will never drop another basketball game again
