As a new canner it's really nice to see how seasoned canners deal with discrepancies in recipes. I'd have assumed that I did something wrong to end up with one fewer pints, and doubt my process. It's great to know that some variation is okay. thanks!

What a simple, effective way to process all the dry beans that I have stored - more than I need for soups. Your demonstration, especially how to use them later, was fabulous. I'm hoping to win one of the pressure canners so that I can process non-acidic foods like meat and beans. I appreciate the suggestion to increase the water to 7 cups so there is enough liquid. Thank you, Mary Ellen for participating in Canuary 2024! It's my first year and I'm learning so much.

We eat a lot of beans because my youngest is wheat sensitive. We love the fudgy black bean brownies we make too.

I love all the safety advice I am getting from this collaboration. I have this recipe on my list to do as refried beans are a part of enchiritos; which we have at least once a month. Thank you for a great video. Susan

I’m rewatching some Canuary 24 videos. I have watched them all but I don’t see my comment, doing so now. I enjoy all your videos. Thanks for all your contributions. Thanks to Leisa and ForJars for all they do.

I love refried beans but have never canned them. These look exceptionally tasty to me. You are one of my favorite canners! Thank you to Leisa for putting on Canuary 2024 and to Forjars for stepping up for all of us.
