This is my ideal hell. Like it used to be a meme, Ubisoft turning all their franchises into Assassins Creed. But now, literally, a realistic, tactic squad based shooter has turned into Assassins Creed. I'll at least give them credit for somehow managing to make it, and even getting some too buy in for one iteration. I also won't act like the series wasn't taking a full on belly flop to mediocrity with utter garbage like Future Solider. My God though, what happened. We went from Sum of All Fears, Ghost Recon 1, Rainbow Six 3, & Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory to shit like this. I'm really not a fan of Rainbow Six: Siege, much preferring Vegas 1 & 2 and lamenting no single player. I can recognize though that the game follows logically from its previous entries, it's not a complete bastardization of the Tom Clancy license and the RS franchise as a whole. I don't know what the bloody hell Wildlands was, and I don't know what this is. I'm just awaiting the inevitable open world Rayman with a million useless collectibles, some tower to climb too open up my map, and other cliches of modern Ubisoft development. We had something good going with Advanced Warfighter, Vegas, and Double Agent. Even Endwar was kind of different and fun. I've got no guesses on what Ubisoft is thinking, one thing is for sure though. After these terrible Ghost Recon games and the utter white wallpaper that is The Division, the Tom Clancy license is a shell of what it once was.
Yep this is a time even ubisoft make bullshit game even thought the games before weren't really all that great. Like far cry 2 was its "peak" for ubisoft same for assassion creed. I remember when this series was a tactical shooter where you had to painfully crawl inch by inch through the grass and trying to locate and take out enemies from a distance. Hence the name: Ghost Recon. If you tried to just run around the map, you'd die in seconds from unseen enemies in the foliage. Crazy how far from its origins this series strayed.
@@afungai1649 While I agree that downgrading games is a shitty practice for any company, CDPR has done far more actions that outshine those questionable decisions, like actually providing remarkable post-launch content that doesn't feel at all like a steal and truly respecting their customer base. I can't even get into Ubisoft games anymore. They're all just re-hashes of eachother. The Division and it's sequel and Far Cry 5 and it's Sequel are all essentially the same game. You travel around part of a post-crisis section of America which lays in ruin after a hostile faction takes over, conquering their bases one by one while upgrading weapons, grinding for loot. your reviews are basically the only ones I watch for games - love your work and humor! Btw: your vids and editing is getting better (including other footage or sound effects etc)
So, an idea I had for a game: An area of the world that had multiple nations fighting to control it. Several factions want it but none can really do it overtly because politics is an asshole. In you come, a mercenary, amongst man, who can change the future of an entire land/nation with your choices. You can work any group you want, for better or for worse. Enemies respond realistically, either dozing in when they have larger numbers or surrendering if they're stranded and have no other way out. You can interrogate the surrenders for INTEL. Capturing surrendering enemies are carted off to the faction you're working for (at the time) so that they can gain PR. Or you can kill them and deny your faction (at that time) the positive PR. It should be noted, all atrocities committed while under a faction's banner is dropped on them. If you are identified as a mercenary, however, it is dropped on you. Plausible deniability. You rank up as you go, buying gear from locals and internationals alike. Wearing camo helps hide you in the brush while civilian clothes can mask you in populated areas. It takes all this into account. Even heavily populated that don't allow guns freaks when they see you with a firearm while rural areas are simply dandy with seeing you armed because, well, so are they. It's, in my mind, what the next Ghost Recon SHOULD have been, but instead of protecting US interests you're filling a wallet. Your injuries maintain over time. You have to eat, drink, and sleep. Gear can get shot up. You have stamina that can be built up but burnt out. It's basically as CLOSE you can get to the real thing without being boring.
Upgrading weapons effects all guns of that name, so it transfers to all guns no matter the level. For example if you fully upgrade a lvl 50 416 to MK3. Then you get a lvl 70 416. Those mk3 upgrades stay the same as they are applied to all 416.

The sad part is, I was really looking forward to this game. I love the idea of a one man survival against former allies gone rogue. But after an hour or so of just going from question mark to question mark to get slightly better just made ask why I spent 60 dollars on this. Wildlands did it right by having varying weapons in different locations and you make a weapon set that fits you. Not this min max number crunch.

Same here was really Looking forward to this game well gonna Stick to BL3 and come back later to See if its gotten better

Remember kids: If Ubisoft releases a trailer for a new game, wait for reviews and avoid the hype.
If ANY AAA Studio* releases anything, just don't support them. Though CD Projekt Red and Naughty Dog get a pass.

Thats true of any AAA studio these days. Oh well, plenty of indie gems to play instead.
@@afungai1649 While I agree that downgrading games is a shitty practice for any company, CDPR has done far more actions that outshine those questionable decisions, like actually providing remarkable post-launch content that doesn't feel at all like a steal and truly respecting their customer base. So yeah I wouldn't go as far as to say that I don't trust them just because of some visual downgrades that, while not disregarding the shittiness of it, don't have any kind of influence over the gameplay or the game experience (the thing that matters the most).

Are they trying to be like that E.T. Atari game?
So, an idea I had for a game:
An area of the world that had multiple nations fighting to control it.
Isn’t the Title of the video pretty much describe almost every Live Service Games lately?
Upgrading weapons effects all guns of that name, so it transfers to all guns no matter the level. For example if you fully upgrade a lvl 50 416 to MK3. Then you get a lvl 70 416. Those mk3 upgrades stay the same as they are applied to all 416.
