I also love PC! She’s my favorite character because of her complexity and her resilience. No matter what she always lands on her feet and that in itself is inspiring.
There is something amazing about how self-aware and self-accepting PC is. She knows she compulsively takes care of others, so she makes a career out of it and excels. Of course, no one is perfect, but she seems so at peace with who she is. It's inspiring. She knows what she wants, and she's taking it.
I adore the fact that PC got her happy ending. She got her daughter, a man who cares about her and respects her, and a job she enjoys and is really good at. I felt really bad for PC for most of the show so that ending for her was practically a weight off of my shoulders. I also liked her because she's a cat, but who doesn't love cats?????/
Obsessed with her “huh!” smile she had when Judah confessed. Like a, “huh…I really do care a lot for this person, don’t I? I really do make a good pair with them, don’t I?” Like she was so buried in the work and since she was finally making it all work…it clicked when he admitted he felt something romantic!! Like, they finally had a quiet moment together, open to realizing what they could be!
To me Princess Carolyn has seemed like the "mom friend" of the cast. She wants to help everyone and it's great but also very bad for her! I'm glad she learned to balance her work and personal life AND she gets to be a mom! She's great!
I love PC because even though she's been crapped on by so many people she doesn't let it make her bitter or cruel. I was so happy to see her become real friends with Vanessa Gecko and to find out that VG wasn't as mean as she seemed until then. And yes, her happy ending was deserved and satisfying. If you like Amy Sedaris check out the TV show Strangers With Candy. The film version was not as good.
I like her bc shes such a mom. Despite her hard working nature shes very nurturing and caring. Im glad she eventually adopted Ruthie bc she of all people deserves to be a mom
I love PC because, as you said, she's super relatable, and her character remains very true to being a woman who tries to get what she wants. She goes through all the struggles we all go through, dealing with things like society and your family's expectations, losing a baby, relationship trouble, being too much of a work-a-holic, etc. She's very versatile when expressing all of these emotions, yet she still portrays them perfectly. She's the most inspiring character in this whole show.
One thing i do believe it is rarely highlighted with her character are her monolouges about her romantic relationships. She is a chronic people pleaser who - in romantic relationships- has insecurities over her age and fertility, and i can greatly relate to that. Her monolouge in S6E11 “Sunk Cost And All That” made me realize why i cannot move on from my first love, and it helped me immensely in moving on. She is a well written character, and her voice actress was spectacular delivering her lines
Princess Carolyn is an icon, Out of all the female characters in the Bojack series she's role model material because PC has proven that she is a very capable, Reliable and dedicated woman! And a woman with her level of all of those things deserves respect! Or at least she has my respect I don't know about the rest of the Bojack fandom. Sure even PC has had her share of "rock bottom" type moments, But she always managed to pick herself up and get her head back in the game.
PC is for me the best Bojack character, and I’m glad she got her happy ending, and even during her dance with Bojack, she still wants to help him by recommending agents for him, but keeping the professionalism out of their relationship, they are now friends in a good place
She definitely made the right choice by referring Bojack to another agent they have too much history to stay professional and she needs to focus more on her new family
I’m so happy you did a video on PC! I loved her so much in the show and it’s really nice seeing her be able to grow out of being so dependent on others for her own validation and instead being okay with being “alone”, and only then does she let someone in at the end with Juda
I mean, I kinda feel like we’ve all dated someone who all the other people in our lives knew for a fact wouldn’t work out, despite the desire to make it work (bojack being the vessel that represents us in relation to PC for hilarity,of course) I feel Vincent as a character captures this idea very well. PC had to realize that ultimately, she needs the right guy for her. Not ‘any guy’ cosplaying as an adult.
Imo, PC being so caught up with BoJack in season 1 was the point. She's grown up always being expected to put other people before her, to always be taking care of them at her own expense, and to ignore her own needs and desires. Her ending up in that dynamic with BoJack parallels the dynamic her mother essentially forced and manipulated her into when she was a kid. Season 1 shows unhealed PC's baseline, which is constantly dimming her own shine for the sake of taking care of someone who is clearly taking advantage of her.
I love her too, and her sassiness. I was so happy when she adopted Ruth and Joan Proposed and married her. That filled me with enjoyment, I'm glad she didn't give up. I would like to see a spin-off where she's can fully relax and enjoy motherhood and living a peaceful but a little bit chaotic life with Joan outside L.A. It would hilarious to BoJack asking constantly to be Ruth's Godfather 😅. I would like them to drive deeper into infertility since it's not talk about enough
When I watched BoJack for the first time I didn't care for Princess Carolyn, she eas my least favorite but over my second watchthrough she grew on me and now that I've seen the show countless times she is my favorite.
Can you do a video that does a deep dive on the Fish Out of Water episode where Bojack is feeling conflicted and feels regret about missing out on his life with Charlotte? Cause this comes up a few times and he finds any chance to be a father figure but fumbles with Sarah Lynn obvi, Penny etc. Also the parallel of Beatrice and her baby and Henrietta’s baby? Everything connects so well and I think you’d absolutely kill it. Or a video on all of the times Bojack is just shit at apologies? 🤣 Love your vids seriously.
I mean I love PC, but I dont relate to her at all. Which is probably just another example of how the shows writing is excellent. I wish I had her work ethic. I think only relate in the way we both take care of our moms, but in most ways im really nothing like her.
PC is my favorite for mainly 2 reasons : 1. To me, she represents hope : life is unfair, happiness nevers lasts and stuff. But PC still chooses to get up and go on, over and over again. I never were aware that when life is terrible, you just... do that. PC goes through terrible pain, over and over again, and then, she just mooves on and fend for herself. Because you have no choice. It's either that, or you just crumble. I wish i had this in me sooner. 2 : PC is a character i was never scared to get attached to, precisely because of that : i know that in the end, she will fend for herself. She won't crumble. This also applies to Todd in some kind of way, but it's not really the same because Todd seems unshakeable.
I remember being really mad and didn’t understand why Princess Carolyn broke up with Ralph (even though i Judah) when it seemed like he was being as supportive as possible. Then her backstory showed someone abandoning her right after her first miscarriage and i finally understood
^^^ that and the fact that Ralph didn’t stand up to his family for all the shit they were talking. Ralph did seem to mean well but the fact that his love for PC wasn’t enough to defend her to his folks, and him being hesitant on breaking the news about them having a baby. He truly was not the one for PC
I love this analysis I really want a season 7 now I hope we get a Mr PB video next. But my man Ralph did not deserve that tho bro needs justice it’s crazy how he told PC they should look into other avenues PC gets mad and then looks into adoption and adopts a baby
Love her as a character but I never got over her design, I just really dont care for it. I wish her smile wasnt so unsettlingly wide or the colors in her design.
Hey PosiTVty, cool video man. I like princess Carolyn bc I like cats and she is a cat. Also you said she is a queen but her name is Princess Carolyn so explain that! Can u plz do why we love Kamina from Gurren Lagann I lobe ❤ him
a scene i love about Princess Caroline is when she's telling Ruthie (her baby) about Amelia Earhart and while she's telling the story she's like "and she flew off and... she flew into the sun and everything was great the end" or something lol considering what actually happened to her
Princess Carolyn is an amoral pragmatist. She tries her best to help the people she cares about. She doesn’t go out of her way to hurt people, let alone takes any pleasure in doing so. She’s not particularly sadistic or cruel by nature. Even though she tries to be optimistic, and looks for the good in people, especially those she cares about; she’s ultimately a realist. Princess Carolyn gives off feminist libertarian vibes.
I don’t know what that says about you if she’s your favourite. I couldn’t stand her. Yes she was confident yes she’s capable. But she was also just totally vapid and focused on the lies she used to sell her career. Everything was about the money or the business aspect. When she’s do stuff for the people around her it was for selfish reasons to help herself feel better
I AM THAT PERSON THAT REQUESTED!!! LETS GOOOOOO❤❤❤😭😭😭😭
I fucking love you. She’s my favorite too
I’m not even subjected I too would have requested it as well.
Thank you for requesting this 🥺❤❤❤
You’re a hero

I also love PC! She’s my favorite character because of her complexity and her resilience. No matter what she always lands on her feet and that in itself is inspiring.
Aha, because she's a cat. Love it.
I really feel you, if PC didn’t get a happy ending I probably would have never recovered

she deserves the world 😭😭💖💖

the fact that she kept the urn of Herb even tho he wasnt her friend , speaks for everything. :D it cracks me up
Obsessed with her “huh!” smile she had when Judah confessed. Like a, “huh…I really do care a lot for this person, don’t I? Like, they finally had a quiet moment together, open to realizing what they could be!
it was so sweet 😭😭 i love them
RIGHT
BECAUSE SHE'S A PINK KITTY!!!
To me Princess Carolyn has seemed like the "mom friend" of the cast. She wants to help everyone and it's great but also very bad for her! I'm glad she learned to balance her work and personal life AND she gets to be a mom! She's great!

You know, in spite of being humanoids with animal heads, most the animals have genetically accurate coloring.
Then there’s PC, who’s just bright pink.
I like her bc shes such a mom. Despite her hard working nature shes very nurturing and caring. Im glad she eventually adopted Ruthie bc she of all people deserves to be a mom

Serves you right for having feelings LOL that's legit me, once I'm done crying
PC is such an amazing, well rounded character. I love her ❤
I’m so happy that she was one of the few characters who achieved most of what she wanted, she really did deserve it
PC is for me the best Bojack character, and I’m glad she got her happy ending, and even during her dance with Bojack, she still wants to help him by recommending agents for him, but keeping the professionalism out of their relationship, they are now friends in a good place
I guess you can say she… always lands on her feet
She definitely made the right choice by referring Bojack to another agent they have too much history to stay professional and she needs to focus more on her new family

exactly
It's so strange to me that your channel is so small, bc your videos are so high quality!!
I love her too, and her sassiness. I was so happy when she adopted Ruth and Joan Proposed and married her. That filled me with enjoyment, I'm glad she didn't give up. honestly my favourite has always been diane, broke my heart to learn sooo many people hate her
When I watched BoJack for the first time I didn't care for Princess Carolyn, she eas my least favorite but over my second watchthrough she grew on me and now that I've seen the show countless times she is my favorite.

And hollyhock
check out the Johnny 2 Cellos video on that episode, it’s really good!
I mean I love PC, but I dont relate to her at all. Which is probably just another example of how the shows writing is excellent. I wish I had her work ethic. I think only relate in the way we both take care of our moms, but in most ways im really nothing like her.
bravo! I’ve been super interested into bojack horseman analyst and i’ve been looking for something good and this is just great so thank u 😊

I liked the video the moment he sang out "she's my favourite persooon"
PC is my favorite. She grew so much
I remember being really mad and didn’t understand why Princess Carolyn broke up with Ralph (even though i Judah) when it seemed like he was being as supportive as possible. Then her backstory showed someone abandoning her right after her first miscarriage and i finally understood
really?? if i were pc as soon as i found out how much ralph’s family hated cats that would’ve been a deal breaker😭😭
I’m not trying to have beef with other characters, but PC I think, is the most deserving of her ending.
I loved Princess since ep1 ❤
i was watching BoJack with my mom a few weeks back and she was legit getting upset at how much she sees herself in PC ..
Goated character. Love of my life
The video that I needed
She's also my favourite ❤
I love this analysis I really want a season 7 now I hope we get a Mr PB video next. But my man Ralph did not deserve that tho bro needs justice it’s crazy how he told PC they should look into other avenues PC gets mad and then looks into adoption and adopts a baby
Tbh when I started watching the show I didn’t really care about her as much but now I think she might be one of my favorite characters in the show.
Love her as a character but I never got over her design, I just really dont care for it. I wish her smile wasnt so unsettlingly wide or the colors in her design.
Hey PosiTVty, cool video man. I like princess Carolyn bc I like cats and she is a cat. Also you said she is a queen but her name is Princess Carolyn so explain that!

she's okay but I never liked her too much, never hated her a whole lot either
I hate Todd

I don’t know what that says about you if she’s your favourite. I couldn’t stand her. Yes she was confident yes she’s capable. Why he talk like that?
his voice sounds normal to me lmao
