Perfect video, I agree 100 %. After 23 years as a Harley rider I jumped on Royal Enfield in 2022, when the Classic 350 came to Germany, I also bought a Scram 411. The Bear 650 will be my third Royal Enfield in my garage. Cheers from Germany
I am 57 years old and riding motorbikes since 1988. (50 cv since I was 7 years old😊) I owned different styles and brands. In 2021 I sold my BMW and bought a RE GT 650. I ‘ve ridden 13.500 km on the Rocker red and after 3 years I am still nuts about that bike. It is the first bike I cannot sell😊. In september I bought a RE Shotgun 650. This is a dreambike. A hybrid of a modern bike and one out of the 1940’s. Rides amazingly. It tells a lot about RE: they really enchant you. I hardly use a car and with the shotgun I ride through all kinds of weather and it is my main transportation. RE nailed it, they are geniuses 😊
Just bought a Classic 350 a few months ago. Absolutely zero regrets! Great around town, state highways, and pure pleasure on the backroads. Seriously the best bike I’ve owned.
i live in western germany and the weather here is as it is: rain, snow, sun and so it goes. every day, i open my front door, stick the key in, flick the switch and it lights up, always. it's a 350 classic. not fast, but a joyous ride that will not only get you there, but will definitely get you home. viva RE.
I like in india We never seen the snow in our area We aren't very tall that's why classic 350 is still a big heavy bike But for you guys it will fit perfectly 😊
The thing is, most other brands try to impersonate retro. Royal Enfield IS retro. Modern in the right spots, like dual channel ABS, fuel injection and 6 speed gearbox. But they lack all the modern hubbub that retro riders don't want, like ride modes and huge tft-displays. They're launching more modern bikes now as well, but they still let the old models be as they were. They're simply bikers building bikes for bikers. And then there's the community. I've never been in forums more friendly and helpful than the different Royal Enfield rider ones on FB. It's different with the Harley community. First I was heckled for not owning a Harley. So I bought a evo Sportster to see if what all that shit about "heritage" and "character" was all about. Then I was heckled because, you guessed it, I bought a Sportster. Harleys has become status symbols that fat, rich, middle aged men with a superiority complex ride once a week down to the pub, mostly for others to hear and see them. You can barely even service the newer models on your own with all the shit they've strapped onto them. But, to each their own. Royal Enfields are just so much more approachable. I bought my first one a couple of years ago. A Classic 350. Now I have pre-ordered the Classic 650 as well. They've just managed to build bikes that have exactly the things I want from bikes.
not. they are 35 hp tiny motors. its apples vs oranges. not even comparable in any way. fit. finish. size. weight. power. style. suspension. sound. all completely different. ridiculous comparison
@danejames7098 Sporster guys are not the same group as typical Harley riders. A big bore kit and cams would put the Enfield 650 solidly in Sportster power territory. Just like the 883 buyers often go out and install a 1250 kit and cams when the 883 seems to slow.
@@honzo007oh yes absolutely! Dig those whitewalls!!! I dogged their hideous paint scheme's and colors whenever an Enfield video appeared on the utube for years. Apparently they have listened. I am thrilled at the new looks/ colors and graphics. Their Marketing far surpasses the big guys. Their numbers are growing and I am not just a viewer. I drive a 2022 Himalayan and ride Red Rock canyon in Vegas every day. I am FORTUNATE. I love the new classic 650 but do not think I could pick it up. Stay safe.
They didn't lose the segment. They abandoned it. Royal Enfield saw this opportunity and went for it. Royal Enfield is just so cheerful and approachable, both as a brand and as a product. Just like Harley and Indian, they do sell you a lifestyle at half the price and half the speed. Plus you'll never meet a grumpy rider on a Royal Enfield. They're just jolly ol' chaps plodding around on the bikes they love. I've managed to resist their charm so far but the new INT Bear 650 and Classic 650 are temptations too hard to resist.
I have a Royal Enfield GT 650 and I love riding it. My other bikes are a Ducati Diavel V4 and a Panigale V2. The Royal Enfield is my go to fun put a grin on my face cruiser.
RE got the core of what makes motorcycling enjoyable: simplicity and soul. Their bikes aren't aiming to be the best performing, but to be accessible, soulful, and fun for people that love riding or would like to get into riding.
Two years ago, I bought an Interceptor for exactly the reasons you mentioned. I wanted a simple, classic, and stylish bike that was well-built and reasonably priced. My options came down to the 883, the Guzzi V7, and the Interceptor. I ultimately chose the Interceptor because it was more affordable and didn’t require a license upgrade. Two years later, I’m even more confident that I made the right choice.
I am a 73 year old rider that rides a 2015 Indian Chief Vintage.I don't want to stop riding but my bike is getting heavy,in my view Royal Enfield makes a better Triumph then Triumph!I am looking at Royal Enfield more and more. S&S makes stuff for them as well.Hmmm...
I'm with you...I would much rather have a well made good looking royal enfield that I'm not going into debt for than an over-priced Harley-Davidson....... Harley's biggest problem is they refuse to make what people want... affordable motorcycles and I plan on buying a royal enfield bear 650 next summer
"Harley's biggest problem is they refuse to make what people want"...GMAFB...HD's have been in continuous production since 1905! Always the biggest seller in their market segment by a country mile! In what Parallel Universe do you live in, Chris?
@@DennisMerwoodI tend to agree with the other comment. Harley's are expensive and when thet breakdown even more so. it is putting me off from owning one.
After 45 plus years of riding on the street. I seriously considered the 650 interceptor eventually opted for a 2017 Honda CB1100 EX with low mileage. No regrets but I still love the interceptor, nice video as usual
that EX is a spectacular bike that strongly tempted me but hard to find one due to such limited release in the USA and I decided the big four engine was heavier than I really wanted to handle. I’m sure you love that bike, though!
I totally agree. I have had Harley’s, Goldwings, Honda CBR1000RRs, the famous Blackbird, and many many more. I’m done with overpriced motorcycles. I’m moving to RE. I want the Himalayan 450.
Great bike. But I would propose the Shotgun 650 is a more comparable to the Sportster, if you like bobber style and blacked out; or the Super Meteor if you want forward controls and don’t mind immediately upgrading the suspension. Personally I bought the Shotgun and I love it. I always loved chrome and wire spoke wheels, but at this point I am all in on the lower maintenance black and even more importantly TUBELESS TIRES!
As an Indian citizen I thank you for the video and glad that you guys are also loving the Royal Enfield . In India it is a dream for every boy or girl who loves bikes . And yes for the comparatively much cheaper price than HD or Indian , it offers way more . A proper value for money product .
Exactly. Have you seen the 350 GOAN ? Another amazing creation. White wall tubeless tyres included. Even the looks of there flying flea electric bikes have that same fibe. Which other brand makes such retrocool affordable quality bikes ? Exactly.
i have spent a considerable amount of my life in India (old hippy) and have two Enfields in storage over there, a 350 in Goa and a 500 in Manali. I purchased the 350 for £125 20 years ago and bought the 500 34 years ago for £90. I've had a lot of bikes in my times but my most memorable biking experiences have been on those two bikes, riding round tropical Southern India or the Himalayas. It's not about having a $40k show bike in the garage, it's about the experience. While in the UK i currently ride a 2004 Yamaha xv1700 road star which happens to be an American import that i picked up for £5500 with 4K miles on the clock, now that actually is one of the best bikes i've ever owned.
If HD, Indian and all the other sacred cows don't want lower and middle class customers, so be it. It's not the 80s anymore, fortunately we have a lot more options now, and RE is of the great ones! 🇮🇳👏🏼
I fully agree with you. I have owned several Harley models over the years, the oldest a 1969 sportster the newest a 2013 street glide . I always felt the connection to the past when riding. I bought a 2023 RE Continental GT 650 that the dealer still had and was discounting before the 2025 models started arriving. I feel the same connection to the past when I ride it, plus it feels like I’m going way faster than I am ,great fun for only 4995.00 US dollars. At RE relatively low price I might be able to get another one
Would agree you overall with one exception. Bought a Meteor 350 in April. Love the bike. One warranty problem, a simple fix. Royal Enfields response wasn't poor, wasn't bad, but was absolutely abysmal! Straight forward replacement with no question of the problems validity. Stuck speedo needle at 500km. Took 32 days!!! for RE to authorize a repair. Dealer wasn't fussed to go after RE, just sat on their hands waiting. Once authorized, took 2 weeks to get a part that takes 15min. to replace. Doubt I'll be moving up to a 650 which was the plan. Honda will be the winner I expect. 🇨🇦
Best deal on a retro bike?....for me the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350. I couldn't decide on looks and feel...so, I bought one of each! And together, I still spent less money than most any brand of bike, i.e. Triumph, etc. The DNA of the classic British bike can be thoroughly felt in the Classic, while the Meteor is more a laid back cruiser. With being simple I'm able to do most my own maintenance, this makes for serious bonding with your rides. I am so very impressed with this brand.
You're the correct Canuck as usual. I reckon the US school system is as squirrelly as is the moto biz. With a Classic 350 now in my shed, the next will be either Bear or Classic 650, unless something even cooler from RE appears....
As a RE owner, i can tell that i got my bike for this exact reasons, gorgeous bikes, affordability, and simplicity, something that todays harleys couldnt give me, and on top of that the brand has really invested in building a community around their bikes and dealerships, they host events at dealerships for riders and we go out every month, not the most powerful or fast machines, but great great bikes no doubt
Love my Hunter 350. Perfect 1st beginner bike. Inexpensive, approachable, 3 year factory warranty!! Have had so many people stop and ask me about it. Perfect bike for big city commuting. Looking to get either the Himmy 450 or Shotgun 650 next season. Keeping the 350 FOREVER.
This is very exactly my thought. After 34 years riding, I now ride a "scramblerized" 883C and I LOVE IT! It's all the power I need, super fun and convenient on and off pavement. Parts are super available in the U.S. of A. Now....... I think little of HD Corp to say the very least. I observe HD crowds to be typically arrogant and unnice. People who know me well are always surprised that I ride a Harley... RE has me thinking hard with their new 650. I drool on the Shotgun and the upcoming Bear. Maybe I should buy one and make a long-term rigorous comparison video... Life is too short to hang with a.h.'s! (Gee! I do love my Sportsty though hahaha...)
Glad 2 C someone is producing a bike for the masses, not for the shareholders, and there's a big market for them. I've got a HD sporty, bought it 33 years ago when they went 2 5 speeds. Never will get rid of it. I'm deeply disappointed with HD business focus in, let's say, the last 20 yrs so wouldn't consider another new HD. Certainly would look 2 RE as an option for a new scoot, would NEVER knock someone for doing so. They look great, and it looks like RE is sticking 2 the basics, basic bikes for the masses. Motorcyclings' future is in trouble if all that matters are the shareholders
Thanks for the video! If they ask me to choose the most based youtube's channels of all times, I'd put yours in a top-3 for sure. Sporty was one of the most interesting bikes in "middleweight/light-heavyweight classic" segment, and it stays so even today. Stunning look, amazing sound, belt drive, dry sump, easy to maintain, fuel-quality tolerate. Even with obsolete 5-speed gearbox and sheety suspension it was one of the most appealing bikes in its class even by modern standarts. The only major drawback was the enormous price. If 883's were sold for a reasonable price, they wouldn't lose this share of market to Enfield 650's, MotoGuzzi V7s, Kawasaki W800s and and countless "revived legends" from China for decades on. Easily. Thanks H-D top management for reliably choosing the worst possible desicions imaginable. And thanks R-Enfield for bringing us such a lovely bikes. Personally I'd still prefer old Evo Sporty (if I didn't have the RnineT already :D), but Enfield is literally the best thing that happened to motorcycle industry for years.
Yes, this 650 of theirs reminds me of the Honda 750four bikes I was seeing in 1969 or 1970 & it's a look I like. I seat that's long enough for someone to sit behind you & a fuel tank that isn't a weird shape or really big. I DKNow how reliable or how good the service is in the US if you have a problem but I do have a dealer in the City I live. 1 dealer & they sell many other bikes that aren't large in the US as well. So I'm looking at her. Thanks for the review
I have had this same conversation a few times. As a long time Sportster guy, I said Harley no longer sells anything I would buy. The Sportster crowd would likely move towards Enfield, it's more like a Sportster than anything Harley offers. Affordable, simple, classic styling and easy to modify. I am hoping some big bore kits, hop up parts and a carb conversation kit become available for the 650. That would make it perfect. If I decide I need to buy something new I will definitely be looking at Enfield first.
At 18 I had a Honda 1974 honda cb 550 great bike. Many years later I have a 2009 BMW R1200RT. Great bike too. Call me practical but having hardshell side and back cases makes me hesitant on getting a bike without. Call me spoiled but an electric windshield can have best of both worlds for airflow. I think you have to be honest with yourself on intended purpose of a bike. I like the look and feel of a naked bike until I need to bring home three bags of groceries. But honestly curiosity for a new bmw 450 enduro so I can go on some fire roads seems really appealing. My only advice is be open minded. Test drive the bikes that fit your lifestyle. I saw a beautiful chromed out Triumph and I really liked the bike but polishing chrome does not appeal to my nature. So I did not test ride it or waste the owner’s time.
Bardzo trafne przemyślenia. Podzielam Twoje zdanie.
I am so impressed by RE, they have found their stride . Making so of the best value proposition motorcycle in the world. The Motoguzzi V7 850 stone and more classic special’s are also a great alternative to the HD Sportster. They are Vtwins and strong enough to Live with for a longer stretch and even do some touring on, with bags.
Just bought my second RE in tge UK. They are discounting the last Euro 5 models. A Sunset Strip interceptor GT delivered to my house for £5000. Awesome value. Lovely bike as well. Its replacing my 350 Classic, which has been superb as well. Shame I couldn't have both.
Yeah, that was just before the company started on a huge parabolic run. You could still sell one for close to that today but 4K buys a lot less than it did in '86.
@DifferentSpokesTV I bought a Suzuki Samurai(yeah I know) in 86 for $8000 new. I kicked myself for not getting the Harley instead. I still miss the Samurai though. I wound up trading a 84 Kawasaki GPZ 550 for an 883. I miss the GPZ. Go figure.
Great video. I'm totally enjoying my new CL500 Honda here on NJ shore. Not missing the Honda 1100cc DCT cruiser. The 500cc bike is more comfortable and more enjoyable.
My best deal is a 1982 harley davidson flt 80 cu/in shovelhead. I picked up the being of summer this year. No fairing, 1999 or later saddlebags, 19-inch front wheel thick black spokes and tubeless, lowered, open fishtail exhaust, 19 inch ape hangers, and custom dark green metal flake paint. Has a couple of insignificant leaks that I will take care of this winter (primary and transmission) didn't have to add any oil all summer the bottom of the primary would be a little wet sitting all night after a long ride and the transmission I only add the equivalent of a shotglass full. No smoke, great compression, and fires right up when I hit the starter. All for the massive amount of $3,000 US dollars. He also threw in two brand new tires still in factory packaging. I just wanted to add that I also have a 1991 springer softtail 25000 miles paid $3,000 for it to, 5 years ago, and a 1992 electraglide ultra classic $4,500 with 50,000 miles (only 25,000 on the engine) and a 1978 flh bobber/chopper that I have had since the late 1980s. Miles' unknown odometer and speedometer have been replaced a couple of times.
As the owner of both a 1200 iron and a 650 int. I can say these are very different bikes.apples to oranges so to speak.love both bikes.bang for the buck goes to enfield as it cost half what sporty did.but for longer two up rides 1200 wins out. Both are old shool low tech twins which is why i bought them but riding experience on either is very different.
Modern Harleys have thrown out their baby with the bathwater. Basically, they don't make bikes that appeal to their traditional customer base. Modern Harleys are only affordable to retired boomers, bank managers and stock-brokers. Royal Enfield, as you say, have just kept it simple with traditional stying combined with modern reliabilty. There are loads of after-market bits for these bikes too for those who want to customise their bikes. Thanks for the vid. Love and peace.
When buying a Harley, you are also buying the heritage of Haley. The new sportster just don't have the Harley heritage. There are so many cheaper and better options out there now. I can't really see why anyone would buy the new sportsters. I don't know why Harley can't see that. Those guys just have no vision. Make an old style sportster with a weight of around 400 lbs. with at least 80 hp. I know Euro 5 needs to be met.
The Yamaha MT07 is 400 lbs and not quite 80 hp and is liquid cooled and very modern, no old school air cooled 1200 Sportster could be that light and sell for a reasonable price. Harley should have put the Buell Blast engine in a small Sportster like bike, that could have been around 400 lbs but nowhere near 80 hp but at that time their entry level bike was the 883 Sportster which was 500 lbs and a joke in Harley rider circles.
I agree with you. I love and own a Harley. I was and still am a fan of the EVO Sportsters, but the new one is ugly, and it had no soul. I wouldn't own one even if I was given one for nicks.
Having just purchased a very low mileage 30 year old 883 sportster hugger, as I've always wanted one I'm loving it's classic looks, feel and sound. I would never entertain buying the new sportster s or nightster as they are really no different in feel to my 650 gladius. The new enfield 650 classic ticks all the boxes in what I want from a bike and more. My favourite bike I've owned (and miss it) was a 93 enfield 350 bullet , pre -unit push rod engine. Only letting it go because I couldn't keep up friends bikes on runs out. When I can afford to have more bikes in the garage next one alongside the Harley will definitely be another enfield
RE is absolutely crushing it. Such a great lineup, new fantastic models regularly. Id like to see them go a bit bigger in displacement but i understand they know where their bread is buttered. Just for me, in my prairie Canadian environment, around 70hp is perfect.
My 2019 Continental GT 650 drew me back to bikes after an enforced lay off due to nasty circumstances. I'd lost the lust for horsepower and speed and cruisers were never my style. I considered the 401 Husqvarnas but I've got no plans to swap my GT.
I agree with most of the comments. Triumph along with Indian and HD have priced their bikes out of the reach of younger riders. My next purchase will likely be a Royal Enfield. Not because they are less expensive but because they are unique in this world of overweight and overpriced American offerings.
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is heading to North America next year, it's the one aim at the younger rider, it is a very good looking machine and should be a big hit.
Royal Enfield did their homework! Marketing! This is what has turned them around since the Himalayan 411 hit the streets in 2016. 2023 global sales Royal Enfield 920,000 units Harley. 162,771 Triumph. 100,000 Look it up like I did...surprising! I thought the 2023 Harley Davidson 440X would do well and they don't even have it on American soil. I guess that was their chance 🤷
I bought a new Harley Davidson 883 in 1987 for $4000 and put 37,000 miles on it in ten years and sold it for $4000. That woild be $11,104 today accounting for inflation. That is way more than the Royal Enfield 650 but in ten years the trade in or selling price will probably make up for the higher purchase price. The problem is they don't make a $11,104 883 Sportster anymore.
That Bear is in my eyes the coolest new bike on this planet right now. And they must have studied RE success at Honda, we now starting from 2025 get the 350cc Honda retro bike here in Europe. As late as a year ago they said it will only be sold in India but the success RE has had with the 350 lineup must have changed their mind. And they want their piece of the cake. So RE has in just a few years time gone from almost unknown Indian manufacturer to class leader and shaping the market. And they have made it by giving us what we want, to the right price. Remarkable achievement!
There's more than enough motorcycle manufacturers selling more performance and premium features than I can use or care about or afford. Don't forget that Royal Enfield.
If I was getting into motorcycling right now and didn't have any funding challenges, I would get a Royal Enfield Hunter 350 for in-city riding in traffic, and for the highway I would debate between the Indian Super Scout and the Indian Chief. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 reminds me of my V-Star 650, which is a great bike. I would love to try it out.
A few things. 1. RE really screwed the looks on the Classic by putting low profile sport style tires on it. This bike is screaming for a set of classic or white Wall tires. That being said I’m definitely interested in one. 2. RE is killing it when it comes to bike production. Where they aren’t at least in the US is in sales distribution, repair, and parts availability. I current own a Himalayan 411 the closest dealership is in face a huge Harley dealer. They have on inexperienced RE tech who has next to no support from RE and trying to get parts under warranty is a nightmare for them. I called the 2nd closest dealership which is about two hours away and they have the same issues for dedicated mechanics as well as parts availability. It’s easier for me to buy the pets from India off EBay directly then it is for the dealerships to get them from RE directly. That’s a huge issue especially when you bikes sitting 4 months waiting for parts. 3. Don’t kid yourself they do cut corners and use some parts that wear quickly like their valves. Typically they will be dished out within a few thousand miles due to the soft metal they are using which causes them to come out of spec and also makes it extremely difficult to get them into spec. There ain’t no free lunch with anything in 2024. If you aren’t afraid to do your own maintenance and engine work and want something simple to dig into they are a good option for sure. I plan to check out the Classic 650’s for sure when they come in. I really wish they made a Signals version like they have in the 350’s right from the drop , so unless I really fall in love I might wait a year or so to see if it comes down the pipe.
I dream of a re- introduced Bullet 500, classic black! Ive heard they cant get the 500 single to pass E5 exhaust standards! The 650 classic looks very good but dealer network, here in the states, is spotty!
They must be doing something right. S&S make big bore kits, and other performance mods for the 650 twin. S&S were always just a Harley performance company. That's gotta tell you something right.
I'm a major fan of the RE style myself, but these types of comparisons tend to leave out a possible major cost offsetter i.e. maintenance. Neither American brand has a chain. Neither American brand requires valve checks. Royal Enfield's is every 3k miles. It may be easy enough for most people to do it themselves, but if they don't, they're probably going to need to drop their tech $400 a pop or so. Adds up if one rides enough.
I've been to India and way how stock RE 350s sound there was amazing. I fell in love with it. I can easily go to the dealership and buy it in place where I live (Poland, EU) but unfortunately it sounds like washing-mashine here thanks to some 'brilliant' EU regulations. And I have one classic bike with 33 HP already so 350s are not for me. Now I watch 650s range debiut with some hope. I think seriously about 650 Classic that is nearly ready to official selling but we still do not know the price. RE 350 Classic sticker price in Poland is around 6200 US$. If the 650 Classic cost up to 8500 US$ it would be great.
Royal Enfield has been going strong lately. My 2019 Interceptor has been a great bike and now there’s the 650 Bear & Custom, both worthy of a good look. These bikes are quite inexpensive to modify and personalize as well making them a great canvas. Their new 450 platform looks like it could also be great.
Being a Brit, the comparison that I have to make is RE vs Triumph and I can get a brand new RE for the same cost as a ten year old Triumph 900...my old dilemma is which of the RE 650's to go for.
What a shame Moto Guzzi cannot drop the same money on social media marketing. V7 is not that much more expensive, it is still manufactured in company's original factory in Mandello, and it is not another parallel t-plane twin. Besides the problem with Classic REs is that the classic looks of polished aluminium does not last long. One of the reasons Triumphs are more expensive is the brushed aluminium finishes with a protective layer they apply to their bikes.
Hi to the family. (Show a few more photos of them.) I have a feeling you ought to've kept that Sportster that you had-it did need a tach and a 2-1 pipe. Just a thought at the start of your video; RE should make a v-twin,old school design, (maybe a six speed...) wire wheels looking like it was built in the 1930's, but with modern brakes and maybe for sale in non-Euo compliant countries. (North America) You can always get a 865 big bore kit for another 20 horsepower. Cheers from the Pacific West Coast of Canada.
Thanks! Problem with that Sportster was that between my other bikes and the bikes I test in the summer I never rode it. Sold it and invested the money and it's done well so I have no regrets. Maybe someday I'll get a Lowrider ST.
I would say they must be selling outside of USA because i have never seen one on road or at an event . Seen some on display when they first made the twin. I would test ride one if given the chance.
My dealer is running a variation of the old Harley Sportster trade up program. Buy a Nightster or Sportster and within the year you can trade it in for the full price paid minus taxes of course.
Nice! Though if you know you'll trade it in, why not just buy a bigger bike to begin with. I guess they're going for the newer riders who want to get confident on a smaller bike. Problem is, once you ride a Sportster S, the M8 Bikes will feel slow.
You now meet the nicest people on Royal Enfields. It’s a loving group of people.
Underrated comment
Perfect video, I agree 100 %. After 23 years as a Harley rider I jumped on Royal Enfield in 2022, when the Classic 350 came to Germany, I also bought a Scram 411. The Bear 650 will be my third Royal Enfield in my garage. Cheers from Germany
the best choise !
Congratulations brother
Damn nice
3 motorcycles which cost 6k each is always better than a 18k big motorcycle
@@theguywithcoolid That is the plan, and the insurance is the same for 3 Royal Enfields instead of 1 Harley. Cheers from Germany

We aren't very tall that's why classic 350 is still a big heavy bike
But for you guys it will fit perfectly 😊
RE is killing it lately
totally right brother
not. they are 35 hp tiny motors. its apples vs oranges. not even comparable in any way. fit. finish. size. weight. power. style. suspension. sound. all completely different. ridiculous comparison
A range of 750cc are coming. 60hp, adjustable suspension, good dual disc brakes, tfts, riding modes and all @@maddog7999
I can't think of another major brand which is expanding faster.
@danejames7098 Sporster guys are not the same group as typical Harley riders. A big bore kit and cams would put the Enfield 650 solidly in Sportster power territory. Just like the 883 buyers often go out and install a 1250 kit and cams when the 883 seems to slow.
That teal classic 650 has me drooling… unlike any Harley that sells for less than 20k
Good Lord she's a looker 😍
Have you seen the paint scheme on goan classic 350? ❤🤘🔥
Stay safe.
Yes, that thing will get some attention parked on the street.
Buy it!
You won't regret it.
That Bear man! Gives me warm fuzzy feelings just by looking at it....
The new Classic 650 is one of the best looking bikes to come out in a loong time. Will buy one next spring in black and chrome🤘
Cool! Enjoy the ride.
Me too
They didn't lose the segment.
Life is too short just get it & hit the roads.
Their prices are right and they improved the design. I believe that the 2025 will be a great year for the RE.
Love my RE 650 Super Meteor. ( And I’m a former Harley and Yamaha vstar 1100 classic owner)
@paulch8665 surprisingly the weight is very evenly distributed. You only notice when pushing it around.
The CB will definitely get you to your destination faster.
@@DifferentSpokesTV I enjoy its serene manners as well as its brute strength.
Have owned 2 REs. The cb1100, I would sell my kidneys for. it never came to india and now its decomissioned so never
I totally agree.
For traditionalists you just can't beat Royal Enfield. Looks, price and fun factor. Their sales prove they're doing a lot right.👍
Sometimes less is more , fun is not measured in horsepower.
I just bought the new Himalayan 450. Very nice ride. ...But...I'm also looking at the new Bear. Sweet looking retro, can't wait to test ride one
As an Indian citizen I thank you for the video and glad that you guys are also loving the Royal Enfield . In India it is a dream for every boy or girl who loves bikes . And yes for the comparatively much cheaper price than HD or Indian , it offers way more . A proper value for money product .
In India ROYAL ENFIELD brand connect to emotions. Their bikes considered as dream bike.
The Royal Enfield was considered a joke a decade ago, now its the most cult brand, truly reborn 👍
This was made possible by one man, Siddhartha Lal. He took the sinking company and made it what's today.
I would rather buy two Royal enfield for the price of one Harley ( Bear Interceptor plus the new Goan Classic 350 )
Exactly.
Have you seen the 350 GOAN ? Another amazing creation. White wall tubeless tyres included.
Even the looks of there flying flea electric bikes have that same fibe.
Which other brand makes such retrocool affordable quality bikes ?
Exactly.
Great synopsis. RE 650s are killing it down under too 👍
i have spent a considerable amount of my life in India (old hippy) and have two Enfields in storage over there, a 350 in Goa and a 500 in Manali.
YEP agree royal enfield is all you need loving mine and going to buy more...
Agree. RE has paid attention and listened to what people are looking for. Plus they’ve kept the cool factor and a beautiful motorcycle notched up.
I am sure this will get better as Royal Enfield expands because even now they have relatively low number of dealers support outside india...
$120 off e-bay, new in the box.
My guess is an HD spedo would be a lot more.
The owners of the Ft. Worth dealership are really great. I don't need another bike, but the 650s are really nice bikes.
The Bear scrambler is very enticing.
Royal Enfield....♥️♥️
Superior than Harley..... ALL, dinamic, esthetic, never Broken.
Always makes me laugh to see vehicle commercials where they drive into the beach and right through that salt water.
Cries in interceptor
That's a great ad although you don't want to be cleaning the drivetrain after that.
You're the correct Canuck as usual. I reckon the US school system is as squirrelly as is the moto biz. With a Classic 350 now in my shed, the next will be either Bear or Classic 650, unless something even cooler from RE appears....
Thanks for sharing. That's a pretty cool garage.
Best deal is a used Kawasaki W650 or W800. Built in Japan, the quality can't be beat.
My first Harley was a hugger 883, new in 1988.
On my third Harley, 1999 FXDL.
Yes, this 650 of theirs reminds me of the Honda 750four bikes I was seeing in 1969 or 1970 & it's a look I like. I seat that's long
enough for someone to sit behind you & a fuel tank that isn't a weird shape or really big. I DKNow how reliable or how good the
service is in the US if you have a problem but I do have a dealer in the City I live. 1 dealer & they sell many other bikes that aren't
large in the US as well.
My big brother has a 1971 re 350 bullet that still runs like a charm.. and a 2018 re 350 new bullet.. they leave a legacy
Podzielam Twoje zdanie.
pozdrawiam
Well done video. Spot on about HD. RE Classic 650 in the dark red is so “So-Cal” customs. It really has that 1950’s vibe.
Couldn't have said it better. Thanks.
In 1986 Harley advertised an 883 for $3995 and you could get the same trade in value for like 5 years.
And your point is, John?
@DennisMerwood just nostalgia. I usually wouldn't have to explain to a peer they would just reminisce and not be a smart a** young punk.
Sold my custom 48. Made double what I paid for, doubt ill buy another.
I think the Yamaha Bolt has been the "new sportster" for a while now.
Closest in many ways and its general design in particular.
Nice bikes! The Hugger for the sound and looks and the Gladius for the performance.
I bought the RE Himalayan 411 had it for 2 years and i love it .
RE is absolutely crushing it. Such a great lineup, new fantastic models regularly.
Id like to see them go a bit bigger in displacement but i understand they know where their bread is buttered. Just for me, in my prairie Canadian environment, around 70hp is perfect.
They made a V-twin concept called the KX. Looks awesome.
A 750cc is in development
Looks lit we will be seeing a 1000cc Royal enfield cruiser in the future the way things are going. I wish them luck and I hope I get one 😅
Royal Enfield did their homework! Marketing!
This is what has turned them around since the Himalayan 411 hit the streets in 2016.
2023 global sales
Royal Enfield 920,000 units
Harley. 162,771
Triumph. 100,000
Look it up like I did...surprising!
Yes, I hope Honda brings its 350 to North America soon.
The Bear 650 is whispering in my ear.....I'm trying hard not to listen. 😮
I always wanted a chopper style Harley. The aftermarket will have to gear up so guys can start doing this with R.E.
Good stuff you said it all nailed man...right on😊
"Never finance your hobbies" nails it. RE owners are practical whereas HD owners are looking for the name brand.
You spelled sportster wrong in the title.
The Guerilla and Bear...I like them alot!
Bullet 650 next
The scout line up is a amazing line though it's not oldschool they are awesome ^^
A few things.
1. RE really screwed the looks on the Classic by putting low profile sport style tires on it. This bike is screaming for a set of classic or white
Wall tires.
Check out the new RE "Goan classic 350". One of the most beautiful bikes ever built. At least to my opinion.
RE seriously needs to resurrect their V twin engine.
They need the tubeless spoke wheels. Just like the new GOA. White walls would he nice as well. Get the spring rear seat back.
Since everyone around me ride an Enfield here in India, I chose a Kawasaki Vulcan S to look distinct (Of course I paid $10K USD !)
Problem is, once you ride a Sportster S, the M8 Bikes will feel slow.
don't think you get them in the US/Canada yet, but the new BSA Gold Star is up there too!
