      I agree. Dude needs to be more known than yammie noob lol he just doesn't giveaway 100 bikes to kids in America once or twice a month(huge reason his channel grew, over 500k worth or bikes) but in terms of content, your channel is ligit man. Love how much u live bikes(especially that yamaha cafe racer u had, my fave looking yammie)

      @DCweldingAndArt Thanks man! Much love! I’ve been watching Yammie for a while, he started off as a cocky yet entertaining squid. But lately I’ve noticed he’s matured and makes a lot of sensible recommendations and comments which I’m quite glad to see. I hope I remind you of his recent version haha! And even though I don’t have the means to give away bikes but I am trying my best to make more videos since this is a mix of a bunch of things I love - bikes, cameras, numbers and stories.

    And now, most favourite will be the Bear 650. Hope for some comparison update on that! From the first reviews and my impression, the Bear looks like the perfect combination of style, riding position, sport handling + limited offroad capabiteties, all that esp. thanks to that upside down fork and more rigid frame.

    Engaging, even entertaining but most importantly informative. Thanks. I use my Int 650 for city riding, restaurant, groceries, etc. I use the Cont GT 650 for longer highway trips. On both bikes, I have replaced the 15 tooth front sprocket with a 16, which is perfect for 75 mph cruising. The GT riding position is somewhat more aerodynamic for the highway. AEW 103s and TEC Lowering Shocks (I'm 5'7") on both as well.

The only issues I've had are the speedo cable breaking (internal wires causing the speedo to wander before giving up all together at 7,300 miles) and the clocks mist up sometimes ...but do eventually clear. I do get a little uncomfortable after 2-3 hours of riding, needing a short break for my knees and shoulders. However at my age, I get uncomfortable sitting in an armchair for 2-3 hours😁. Thanks for the video. I really love the looks of the spoked-wheel version of the Interceptor, but I'm really scared to think of getting a puncture somewhere in the countryside. I don't want to mess with any conversion kits to make the tires tubeless. I'm still sitting on the fence.

    • @RiderXp
      @RiderXp  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can fix my tires myself but I don’t want the hassle, so I’m in the same boat. There is an expensive solution out there, cross spoked wheels that support tubeless tires. At the moment, I’m told they’re available on the Himalayan 450 (different size though) so I’m hoping they would make those available on rest of the bikes as well. Or you could buy one with cast wheels.

    Love the excellent content coverage ❤ but not a big fan of the voice modulation. FYI regarding fuel gauge, the float is on the left side of the tank, so it shows high value when just moved from kick stand. The guage settles after about 90 seconds of straight line riding.

    • @RiderXp
      @RiderXp  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm glad you like the video content. Thanks for the insight about the fuel guage but I've owned several bikes (even cheaper than the ones I compared in the video) and none of them had that problem. Which means, reliable fuel reading can be accomplished if it is thoughtfully engineered. Your criticism of my voice modulation is acknowledged but not helpful. I never received criticism from major native English speaking countries that are majority of my viewers (even locally in the US) but every now and then, I do get someone like you and that's fine. I just take it in my stride and keep putting my heart and soul into my love for motorcycles and making videos and in the process helping other motorcyclists with their motorcycle due diligence and purchase decision. I was thinking in terms of a BMW R12, but then I discovered Royal Enfield. I love the honest bikes htey build. They are not pretending to be something they are not.

    I think the tubeless complaint is a bit of a canard. Are you carrying around a puncture kit and an air compressor on your rides? If not, you are in the same position as having a tube. You'll be needing to call a truck to pick you up. And the tube has the benefit of just replacing it rather than throwing your tire away.
    As to braking, sounds like you figured it out. Pretty much all cruisers have less powerful front brakes mainly due to being heavier. OTOH, their long wheelbases mean you can use the rear brake together which make braking sufficiently quick w/o having to worry about the back end fishtailing (if the rear tire is even on the ground) on sportier machines.
    Great info about the tire and shock choices. Both are areas that concern me about the brand.
    Personally, I like the Classics myself, but like the wind protection of the Super Meteor. Do wish that one came with a floorboard a heel shifter option though. Pegs are awfully far forward for me.

    • @RiderXp
      @RiderXp  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m glad you found some helpful information therein. As for my preference of Tubeless over tubed tires, it comes from experience with both. Typically when a tubed tire loses air pressure, it’s all but gone. In most cases, a tubeless tire doesn’t lose all the pressure and more often than not I have been able to ride it to the nearest repair shop. Another problem with spoked rims is their susceptibility to getting misaligned and need a good tech to set it right diligently. I do not miss those days; and to that extent, I’m appreciative of modern convenience available on generally old school and simple bikes.

      @@RiderXp - yes easy to forget or never knew it existed if your new to the sport. I was cruising out toward Banff AB one day when I was flagged down by a young Damsel in distress. She said there was something wrong with her bike. She seemed quite distressed as she had just bought it a few days ago. She told me it starts to sputter and quit soon after starting and heading out. Without checking, as it was a newer honda cruiser ( EARLY 2000'S Honda shadow ) I decided I would need to see what she meant. She started it fine and I followed her out to the road. She accelerated fine but as we got to speed it leaned out. After her shaking her head in disgust, I followed her to the shoulder where I asked if the bike had a reserve setting. Blank stare. I checked then saw the standard petcock and switched it to res. after starting and hitting the next fuel stop, we had a good laugh and parted ways.

    Handlebar wobbling is a concern on the GT and Interceptor

    • @RiderXp
      @RiderXp  22 วันที่ผ่านมา

      From what I understand it’s caused by uneven tire wear. Are there any other root causes identified for the problem yet?

      @RiderXp even new bikes have it. They say it's the tyre wear but even on upgrading tyres, cone set etc problem remains. Do check out some videos on this before you invest as I am not well versed with higher speed riding that you'd require there

    • @RiderXp

    Hello! Should I buy Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 or Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 should you help me with this?

    • @RiderXp
      @RiderXp  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends on what you are looking to do with it. Interceptor has been around longer so aftermarket parts are easily available and more options out there. It’s lighter, feels more maneuverable and one can easily find used ones too. Shotgun has navigation and some more conveniences like digital dash, gear indicator etc. but it’s a little bulky especially in tight spaces. Other than that if you watch the entire video, you might get a better idea as well.

      Haha! That’s not what Royal Enfield marketing department is saying in the rest of the world. They’ve very cleverly marketed it in every geography based on whatever it takes to get people emotionally invested. In India, it’s Bullet meri jaan and similar emotional lines. In the UK, their marketing pitches are all about them being designed by British engineers, British heritage and in the US, the latest one is honoring an American racer. The concept, design and testing is actually first done in Europe before even the test mules ever hit India. So they are truly a global brand now & that’s not a bad thing.
