Honestly, for me personally, this is the greatest game I have ever played in my entire life. Nothing gets even close to it. the music, the story, the gameplay, I can't describe my feelings, it is not only having a great time. But it feels like, yes, I belong here, this is not fiction, this is home. after a long day at work, I want to be here. The game experience made me proud of myself, I was happy from the very beginning. This game is a blessing for me.
The reason this game is so frustrating because you know you can beat any boss lol it doesn’t feel impossible and its the right type of difficult! extremely tough but beatable it requires a different mentality ngl you gotta go in with nothing on your mind you can’t even think about winning, you gotta just do it lol
I don't have it yet but I imagine I'd do better with the boss health turned off. I don't want to see how well I'm doing or how weak he is. I just gotta focus on doing it right till he is beaten.

This game definitely exceeded my expectations and so far I love it (about 55 hours in and still not finished) but as you made clear here, the game is not at all easy and I think that needs to be made clear as the difficulty is going to come as a rude shock to a lot of people. There is a lot of gaslighting going on from people trying to boost their own egos and take a dump on others by claiming the game is 'easy' when as someone who has 100% completed Dark souls 1, 3 and Elden Ring (to name a few) and with souls-like being my favourite genre, I found this game very difficult at times (some bosses are surprisingly easier). Great game, best game I have played in a long time but make no mistake, it is NOT easy at all
And the bad camera angles, terrible acting/voice acting, very basic combat and I'm sorry but BAD graphics. Might look good on PC but on console TRASH! This game is baaaaad.

Frankly I’m having the time of my life and I’m enjoying it more than God of War Ragnarok. It has just enough things to find to give you reasons to explore but the production value and the over all fun factor its stellar. It’s also easier than Elden Ring in that you can play it by yourself and not need others to beat the bosses. Also grinding is not hard, generous items can be crafted can help as well. Never felt like it was the game, just mean still learning how to beat the current boss in front of me. Also can we also shout out how awesome each chapter is? Wondrous characters. Incredible music. And the Final Cut scene at the end of each one ties all of it together. Spectacular
@@crunchie2475Oh it’s hard, hard compared to Ragnarok. Think of it as grinding to beat the Valkaries, but just about every boss is like that. But once you learn how to play and get the right upgrades your good, but you still have to strategize because every boss encounter is way different.

I probably ran around in chapter 2 for at least a few hours because I would forget where I was. Been gaming since NES though and it might be in my top ten also. It's close. I'll have to see how it plays out. This is a game though and you can tell the developers put their heart and soul into it. You don't see this level of care very often anymore. There are some things about the combat that I like better than Elden Ring though and that's saying alot. It just flows excellent.
So fun. Don’t worry about going the “wrong way” unless you’re trying to beat every boss and 100% the game. Theres loads of missable bosses all over. The areas are looping and more often than not lead to eachother. Just enjoy the game because you need to NG+ it anyways for 100% so worry about the missables after
The good thing is, you can go back to earlier chapters, so very rarely that you can miss a boss completely. There are some missable quests, but they are much more forgiving than Elder Rings/ Dark Souls.
That's what I am hoping for, but I have not seen anything confirming a physical release yet, other than that it hasn't been ruled out at some point in the future
One thing is very nice about Wukong is that I don’t need to worry about missing some NPC secrets as I can always go back to complete them later.im in 3rd stage now played 20 hours, in performance mode and it feels very smooth. I hate the invisible wall though.
Thinking on the positive side about the invisible walls, I'd be more annoyed if the game let me fall off the cliffs and die so easily and having to wait for the reload screen to continue my adventure. And not having enough free exploration makes a potential sequel with that upgraded feature all the more worth looking forward to.
I have the guide to beat him very easy on my channel jusr upgrade stamina to max keep repeating the full light attack chain which will make him fall repeat the process as he rises again
This game is a remix of a lot of great games. It is like Kratos in Ghost of Tsushima world fighting Elden Ring bosses. It even has harry potter in it (black dog reminds of Serius Black, Six relics of The Monkey king reminds me of the Horcrux) ...
I know some people dont like this, but I love that you dont lose your Will whenever you die. I like that the game is hard but respects your time you spent grinding.
I like it and being Ive always been a fan of Chinese mythology and have read the book this is based on this is a very great telling of it. Just finished Chapter 5 last night (unlock and complete the secret area of any chapter before you finish the chapter) and Im sad that its almost over. Definitely wil play it again though.

it's absolutely gorgeous and very fun it takes a while to get used to the gameplay and it gets a lot better after unlocking certain to make the combat more fluid but it's actually very good also I'm getting super interested in Chinese history and started to appreciate Chinese after hating how it sounded for decades
The only boss that made me angry was the one at the end of ch2. I hated the yellow wind dude with a passion. Only boss that legitimately frustrated me trying to beat and all I felt was relief when I was done. The item needed to help with the worst part of the fight is hidden behind a side quest and I ended up finishing the side quest after beating him :(

You should totally play stellar blade. It’s an exclusive. And it’s one of the best games on the ps5 Black Myth is really good too, for me, I enjoyed that a little more.
That's my boss strategy as well. I always start a boss fight with dodging and flipping around and observing. I don't do any striking or anything but dodging and watching.
Anyone enjoying this should play Nioh 2. It shares so much of its DNA with that game I’m surprised no one is really mentioning it. The transformation mechanics are pretty much the same as Yokai transformations in Nioh 2. The level design and the combat feel very similar. The combat skills, and the combo focused attacks are also very similar. You can tell the developers played Nioh 2 lol
This game has absolutely lived up to the hype for me! It feels so satisfying getting past each of the bosses cause I genuinely feel like I’m getting better. I just got to Kang-Jin Loong in Chapter 3 and am struggling a bit, but he doesn’t seem as hard as previous bosses so I know I’ll get past him.
Facts! I died at least 25 to 30 times against him! I thought I was nice at the game the first few bosses, and then I came to him and realized I'm not as good as I thought!😂
These boss fights are insane but once you learn the patterns and powers they become easier. Some might take a longer because your character is only close combat. But once you master the dodge button and learn your distance, you good.
The plot is a familiar one. The monkey god wants to live a simple life in his mountain. The Titan gods want to become tyrants and disrupt the simple joys of life. One of them traps the monkey god in a stone and it's up to you to find the six relics that will release him.
The Wandering Wight and the White Clad Noble were the only bosses who gave me significant trouble so far, out of the thirteen bosses I’ve defeated so far. White Clad was the worst. It took me almost 15 attempts to finally beat him.
You're chatting out your arse. Any credible gamer would of seen digital foundry or the like performance analysis. Balance mode is 45fps which is stupid should be either 30 or 60 on console.

It took me a solid day to beat White Clad Noble then by the end of that night I beat chapter 1. Mad hard haha... I beat ER but I played with friends. Playing this solo when at best I'm mid at these games is difficult af lol. That said I'm having a total blast. I'm playing on one tv and watching Dragon Ball on the other (I always watch in order from db, dbz, the movies in the arcs they would fit ( ish lol ) dbgt, and now dbs... It takes a minute but every few years I do a rewatch or watch One Piece from the start ) I'm up to Tein v Goku lol. Great saga btw lol. This game has been making me want to watch Avatar TLAB again ( this I watch yearly tbh lol. ) but is there another anime that you think would be cool that fits this game ? I've seen the popular animes basically nothing to niche.
Really good game:) might be game of the year? It will probably go head-to-head with Poe 2. But it's kind of annoying to me when people call it the best game ever. Its a 7.9/10 in my book. The story is great but not as great as in God of War, for example. After LVL 50, gameplay is getting a bit monotonous. Graphics are great, but sometimes they're shiny so much that you can tell if you're looking at hidden treasure or a rock. Some places bait you, thinking that there is something nice to loot, but there is completely nothing: a road with an invisible wall that you can't cross. But overall, I had fun playing it. I hope we will see more games like this.
Game Science is very kind to gamers. They put a kick ass character as the first boss as a warning. At least they don't want you to waste your time continue playing if u are a person who give up easily.
Before this game I rated Zelda and Elden Ring the top, now I think WuKong is better. Zelda is creative, Elden Ring provides a fantasic open world multiplayer game, but WuKong gives a story that is so deep. It is not just a game, it talks about status class, desire, perseverance, anti-establishment etc. The animation after each chapter is the best part.
Its an 8/10 the enviormental consistency and readability is poor and the exploration while rewarding at times is difficult to give a 10/10 to. But outside of that and some stuttering issues on high performance systems, its still a contender for game of the year. I wish they would have done more with the overall world building, although I can admit to getting very lost many times trying to fully explore what they did offer, and it felt great.
Normally an opening statement like that would seem crazy. But this game delivers. There is so much here and we're having a ball finding everything. Biggest surprise of the year and I didn't even preorder. I have no idea what the story is and it doesn't matter.
I remember getting monster hunter freedom on the psp. Wow!!!!! It took me two weeks to beat four horns. So I got to level 2. That was 2007. I ain’t never gone past 2 cause I cant beat Lao Shung. 🤦🏾♂️
I really like it, but at times, it seems to lag or like stutter on my ps5 for a split second, as if the ps5 isn't powerful enough. Im on chapter 2, and im enjoying the challenge. In my opinion , stellar blade is way better! But this game is definitely dope!
i realized after a while that getting angry made me a lot worse at the game when trying to defeat a boss so i tried to tune into some form of samurai style of playing. But when in the later chapters bosses started tossing my across the map and running away i reached a melting point. It took very long but i managed to kill it while cussing the damn thing out. Wasn't so relieved in a long time.
“For someone like me who is just a waste of space on planet earth, not very talented at anything, it would be nice to control the difficulty” I felt that man. Right in my core. 😂
That moment when you find the GOLD Wandering Wight after barely making it through the first one... 😰 Everything you said pretty much lined up with what my experience was. Now, after kicking the sh** out of everyone, go and read Journey to the West, then play it again.
Side note, this is the only game I’ve played using DLSS/Frame Gen and it ACTUALLY enhanced my experience. Higher FPS, still clear at 1440p and no noticeable increase in latency. Every other game I play feels and looks like trash the moment you turn these features on. Idk what that means but take it for what it’s worth.
Too bad the frame generation they used to get 60fps on Performance Mode causes nasty input lag in the later chapters. The game actually runs at about 30fps at all times (even in Performance mode) but uses a technique called frame generation to make it look like it's running at 60fps. The problem is that the game has trouble matching up your inputs with what's being shown on screen. Hopefully a patch is incoming.

The first game in a long time that takes me back to the OG God of War games. Epic story, set pieces, action, challenges, and most of all, fun.

But there are actually six bosses in the game and if you miss certain missions they will never appear again.

You can also run past him and come back but he's beatable with freeze spell and patience .
Don’t fight him the first time just do it before you complete the chapter and he will be easy.
I just bought it today thinking I’ll see what the hype is about. I’ll just play 30mins to an hour here I am 4 hours in I can’t stop playing 😅

Only legitimate frame drop I experienced was against the 1st secret boss who has like 30 minions on screen. Other than that it's been butter.
Stop it lol there's input lag and bad frames. And ghosting when you move

You should totally play stellar blade. It’s an exclusive. And it’s one of the best games on the ps5 Black Myth is really good too, for me, I enjoyed that a little more.
I think stellar blade is way better than black myth in almost every way. Stellar blade is like a 9.5 while black myth is like an 8.5, in my opinion!

That's my boss strategy as well. I always start a boss fight with dodging and flipping around and observing. I don't do any striking or anything but dodging and watching.
Will get it once it gets the PS5 Pro Upgrade cuz some of the performance modes are inadequate IMO. Can't wait for that day tho!

Anyone enjoying this should play Nioh 2. It shares so much of its DNA with that game I’m surprised no one is really mentioning it. The transformation mechanics are pretty much the same as Yokai transformations in Nioh 2. The level design and the combat feel very similar. The combat skills, and the combo focused attacks are also very similar. You can tell the developers played Nioh 2 lol
The insane amount of trash that you have to pick up in Nioh is not appealing at all.

This game has absolutely lived up to the hype for me!
It feels so satisfying getting past each of the bosses cause I genuinely feel like I’m getting better. I just got to Kang-Jin Loong in Chapter 3 and am struggling a bit, but he doesn’t seem as hard as previous bosses so I know I’ll get past him.

Facts! I died at least 25 to 30 times against him! I thought I was nice at the game the first few bosses, and then I came to him and realized I'm not as good as I thought!😂

These boss fights are insane but once you learn the patterns and powers they become easier. Some might take a longer because your character is only close combat. But once you master the dodge button and learn your distance, you good.

The plot is a familiar one. The monkey god wants to live a simple life in his mountain. The Titan gods want to become tyrants and disrupt the simple joys of life. One of them traps the monkey god in a stone and it's up to you to find the six relics that will release him.
The Wandering Wight and the White Clad Noble were the only bosses who gave me significant trouble so far, out of the thirteen bosses I’ve defeated so far. White Clad was the worst. It took me almost 15 attempts to finally beat him.

No it's not, balanced is the worst mode and runs at 45 fps, looks awful. Performance is the best.

It took me a solid day to beat White Clad Noble then by the end of that night I beat chapter 1. Mad hard haha... I beat ER but I played with friends. Playing this solo when at best I'm mid at these games is difficult af lol. That said I'm having a total blast. I'm playing on one tv and watching Dragon Ball on the other (I always watch in order from db, dbz, the movies in the arcs they would fit ( ish lol ) dbgt, and now dbs... It takes a minute but every few years I do a rewatch or watch One Piece from the start ) I'm up to Tein v Goku lol. Great saga btw lol. This game has been making me want to watch Avatar TLAB again ( this I watch yearly tbh lol. ) but is there another anime that you think would be cool that fits this game ? I've seen the popular animes basically nothing to niche.

Really good game:) might be game of the year? It will probably go head-to-head with Poe 2. But it's kind of annoying to me when people call it the best game ever. Its a 7.9/10 in my book. The story is great but not as great as in God of War, for example. After LVL 50, gameplay is getting a bit monotonous. Graphics are great, but sometimes they're shiny so much that you can tell if you're looking at hidden treasure or a rock. Some places bait you, thinking that there is something nice to loot, but there is completely nothing: a road with an invisible wall that you can't cross. But overall, I had fun playing it. I hope we will see more games like this.
Game Science is very kind to gamers. They put a kick ass character as the first boss as a warning. At least they don't want you to waste your time continue playing if u are a person who give up easily.

Before this game I rated Zelda and Elden Ring the top, now I think WuKong is better. Zelda is creative, Elden Ring provides a fantasic open world multiplayer game, but WuKong gives a story that is so deep. It is not just a game, it talks about status class, desire, perseverance, anti-establishment etc. The animation after each chapter is the best part.
Its an 8/10 the enviormental consistency and readability is poor and the exploration while rewarding at times is difficult to give a 10/10 to. But outside of that and some stuttering issues on high performance systems, its still a contender for game of the year. I wish they would have done more with the overall world building, although I can admit to getting very lost many times trying to fully explore what they did offer, and it felt great.

Normally an opening statement like that would seem crazy. But this game delivers. There is so much here and we're having a ball finding everything. Biggest surprise of the year and I didn't even preorder. I have no idea what the story is and it doesn't matter.
I remember getting monster hunter freedom on the psp. Wow!!!!! It took me two weeks to beat four horns. So I got to level 2. That was 2007. I ain’t never gone past 2 cause I cant beat Lao Shung. 🤦🏾♂️

I really like it, but at times, it seems to lag or like stutter on my ps5 for a split second, as if the ps5 isn't powerful enough. Im on chapter 2, and im enjoying the challenge. In my opinion , stellar blade is way better! But this game is definitely dope!
i realized after a while that getting angry made me a lot worse at the game when trying to defeat a boss so i tried to tune into some form of samurai style of playing. But when in the later chapters bosses started tossing my across the map and running away i reached a melting point. It took very long but i managed to kill it while cussing the damn thing out. Wasn't so relieved in a long time.

That moment when you find the GOLD Wandering Wight after barely making it through the first one... 😰 Everything you said pretty much lined up with what my experience was. Now, after kicking the sh** out of everyone, go and read Journey to the West, then play it again.
I really want to play this, but I want to buy a physical copy, don't fall for the digital option only be patient and wait.
Side note, this is the only game I’ve played using DLSS/Frame Gen and it ACTUALLY enhanced my experience.
Higher FPS, still clear at 1440p and no noticeable increase in latency.
Every other game I play feels and looks like trash the moment you turn these features on. Idk what that means but take it for what it’s worth.
Too bad the frame generation they used to get 60fps on Performance Mode causes nasty input lag in the later chapters. The game actually runs at about 30fps at all times (even in Performance mode) but uses a technique called frame generation to make it look like it's running at 60fps. The problem is that the game has trouble matching up your inputs with what's being shown on screen. Hopefully a patch is incoming.

Performance mode gives you input lag because of frame generation, I heard, so Quality mode might be best.
