I can't help but be astonished at how someone can demand anything from someone who freely shares the knowledge they've acquired through years of hard work, instead of showing gratitude
ever since finding you recently. I'm the type of person that wants to know a little of everything. Watching you makes me want to learn out to fix stuff like this and how to solder. Not for a living but just to know. Love your videos sir!
Hi Alex, usually, capacitors are not equal (in some cases might be, but in general case they aren't). These filter groups are made with different capacitors to filter out different frequencies. It will work that way, but might be not able to cover its initial EMI specs.
Indeed.... I think I would have gone for a 10uF with the 100nF (0.1uF) but any value over 1uF would do a good decoupling job, IMHO the second 100nF would do three fifths of sod-all.
Our eyes and ears are our best teachers. Really learn? Takes wanting to fix, understand, test, and rethink. Takes experience, even if its a little at a time.
After watching a million of your videos, I'm almost ready to pull my ancient laptop out of the cupboard and pull it apart to try to find out why it doesn't start up. It's a scary idea but what could possibly go wrong?
i think due to flaws in design i think that is why acer ended up discontinuing the predator helios 300 line as my current laptop is a predator helios 16
Alex, what would you say is the primary reason for capacitor failure in most of your videos? Would it be due to individual poor quality caps? Or would it be more environmental or user issues? Thanks, I love watching your repairs and logic! Big Boss has big cred with me also.
Do you think consumer laptop manufacturers go to the highest quality component suppliers or the cheapest? Same question for the manufacturers of multi million $ cruise missiles.
Most current consumer electronics are over powered especially gaming related devices. Components are usually not tested long term in the real world. It's the consumer who discover issues as time goes by.
I dont think you need to worry too much about people making copies of a prerecorded course. Most of the value comes from questions and answers that students have (as there would be many) and that would only be available to people who paid for it.
Oh dear, I am having the same laptop Acer helios 300 PREDATOR since 2018 and it's working fine... Who else are having the same? Watching your videos is great fun.. yes I know the pain of micro soldering 😅.
Alienware, I bought one used and it was the worst, never again. Meanwhile, my 10+ years old Panasonic CF-52 died last week, it had a lot of hours. I'm 6000 miles away and poor, so no fix.🤗
I have a question for big boss. How is he handling with striped screws on laptops? I have one and I make it worse while trying to remove with rubber band and electrical tape.
I have this same model, it turns on electrically, but no other signs of life: I tried disconnecting anything I could (RAM, HDD, battery): no changes... could it be the RTC battery? or what else? power LED and battery LED turn on...if I let it on for a while, without the charger, the power LED becomes orange when connected, meaning (I reckon) it should charge...
def. less random failed Dell repairs around than Asus ,MSI. had Asus motherboards in the 90s ,were amazing for overclocking but already crap ,lots of fails
@@222inverter I have also a no clean flux, but still it is not like the factory flux, it gets cleaned much easier but still not like the factory. exactly as you said even below the chips this factory flux is crystalized and dry

Well they had the will to pay but I agree these videos already are gold for learning
I seen that smile at the end from Big Boss

lol, do you mean "NRF"?
Watching you everyday is a lesson already. Just difficult for those who have no prior knowledge of repair.
Nearly at half a million subs. Let's get you there soon Alex.

Well, I guess you could make it "more broken" but how would that be any different from broken?
Just go and find the bad guy ;)
You’d have to use thermal camera to see what gets hot 🙂
@@BigRalphSmith very true ;)
@@marekmajchrzak609 I have one so no problem there
The satisfaction after repairing, when you see it`s working, must be high as fuck :))
Thanks for sharing knowledge.

How come? How come what? LOL! Nice repair again Alex, superb work and thank you for the excellent information and training!
Knowledge gained from experience is like a precious jewel(Good Job)
Great job as always Alex !!

i'm enjoy in every single video and never disappointed , amazing work 👍👍
Thank you very much for delivering interesting and enjoyable videos! I learn a lot from you.
Could you start let us see the readings in the overlay?

. . . Seems rough that parts types that used to be reliable are failing a lot . . .

How do you learn? From experience..
I don't have the patience to do this job, so I will stick to what I been doing for 17 years.
"How come? How come what? What if? What if what?" Hahahahahaa. 😂
You should make a online prerecorded education course
in any circuit board short without voltage injection.from main power supply can thermal detect hot..ease answer me olease
How do you tell the difference between a cap and an inductor ?.
Big boss touches and its boom..
Should do a online course

Why do you assume just because the caps are parallel that they are same value?

And here i just got the version of this the Acwr Predator Helios Neo 16 it has a sricker stating it has Liquid Metal on GPU/CPU 🤦♂️
I will be sending my Predator 2020 it has no power, I hope it has the same problem to fix.
Awesome ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

i saw that smile yeaaahh
I'd replace both caps
1 cap to rule them all, 1 to brick them XD
Amazing
RoboCop Laptops??
I'd buy that for a dollar!
..could a robot or a.i be made to fix things... very very distant for now...
You are the one

i love big boss
Anatoly!
Final boss

ok not first
Do you accept students from Africa?
why the factory flux is not oily? they are always dry. but yours and ours flux is oily near or below the components even after cleaning
It's a "no clean" flux..non corrosive after use...also crystallises with heat..
