@@RedorGreen it honestly exceeded expectations. Thanks for the idea. I did an ear of corn/onion/7 poblanos/6 cayenne/2 jalapeno. Roasted in the oven till blistered. Rough chopped and added in at the roux stage. It is my second favorite soup I have ever tried. I will make it a ton for sure.
This looks delicious. I live in Mexico and do not really see the New Mexico chilis here. What do you think of using some fresh roasted poblano chili instead?
My Grandmother used to cook this! Thank you for recipes! Love them, Happy Holidays! 🥰
@@vivianlopez2651 I learned to make this soup years ago when working at a local restaurant. It is one of my favorites 😌 Happy Holidays to you too!!

Poblanos are what I am going to use for this. I've got too many growing in the back yard! With a few Cayenne/Jalapenos for a little added heat!
@@gregorydavids poblano chili would work perfectly!! Let me know what you think.
@@ugib8377 great idea!!
What kind of chilies?
They’re called hatch chilis
@@adventurecreations3214 I am using New Mexico chopped green chili, but you can use poblano, Anaheim, whatever you choose!
