Presenting to you my journey in AC 3-Tier from Kozhikode to Kacheguda (Hyderabad, Telangana) in 12790 Mangaluru Central - Kacheguda Superfast Express. This train goes via Shoranur, Palakkad, Erode, Katpadi Jn, Melpakkam bypass, Renigunta Jn, Gooty Jn, Dhone Jn, Kurnool City, and Mahbubnagar.

These videos are top quality with minute details only commentary is in Malyaalam but good there are English titles on. Also good rly videos from Rail Mania ie Avinash Patil are too class Congrats to Binay.
Without spending money I have travelled most parts of Kerala and TN thanks to Binay at least on the railways
Both the Gooty and Guntakal sheds are very near. In older days GTL was MG and later they got BG Alcos. Probably GTL was the largest YDM loco shed of IR.
GTL YDM was common on SWR( ex SR divisions of hubli and Mysore)and SCR
The YDM was the main work horse of iron ore in Briganza ghat.

Kurnool crowd is for the RJ train see the Rajasthani dress of pax waiting in platform.
The Rayalasema region is mosty arid but they had started agriculture wherever the water is available. But in our state most of our paddy fields are left barren.
Guntakal to Guntur was MG and this line too.
I remember the board Dronachelam but now Dhone.
Miraj- Hubli-Hospet- GTL- Guntur.
And once upon a time from Miraj/Bangalore/Mysore/ Rameshwaram/ Tuticorn to Jaipur
was MG
Even from Madras Egmore there was a link to Jaipur and beyond to Old delhi. Which can also connect Ahmedabad or western Gujarat.
And a connection to Northern UP was also possible by Agra.
Ondimetta in Renigunta Cuddapah main line is famous for Ondimetta lake and Shri Ram temple famous. thanks

Sadly all trains from Kolkatta via Odissa heading south were stink monsters. In Vizag-BZA route we tried to avoid these trains.

Yes malayalees own Jayanti Janatha.
Now the entire route of this train in doubled and electrified and lot of stretches are 130 kmph Jayanti should certainly run upto Bombay VT. I think the route via KJM is shorter than the present route.
As Netravathi is short terminated at Panvel there is no daily train to VT or Kurla.
Not having a direct train to CSMT or LTT not at all a bummer. Hardly anybody goes till there. And Mumbai has a stellar suburban network that makes it possible to reach anywhere.
@@Platform7byBinaiSankar Yes I agree but with lot of luggage will be little difficult to travel in local.As we returns tons of chips, Put/appam podi, Achar even meen chatti to cook fish plus Halwa.
Even two coconut for chutney and thoran is inevitable for us after vacations.
I remember neighbors giving me "small" parcel to their relatives saying "buthimuttavilla le" which tension prevailing until the last hand over of "small" parcels.

@@Platform7byBinaiSankar once one of my neighbor was traveling to Delhi with his friends on AC and he also got 'small" parcels by neighbor.
Due to "little" wine and dine hang over he forget to pick the designated box on arrival and it ended in savari giri giri...
Hopefully the housekeeping had a good time to savor kerala chips.

Jayanti janata express follows the same route till guntakal and then divert towards raichur,gulbarga solapur, pune and then towards mumbai, it was really a golden era
@@sreekrishnasai7462 that train was the only source from Mumbai cst to ernakulam Jn in that period. We used to travel with parents. Great Vada Pav at karjat, nice cakes at Pune jn, Crispy medu vada and idli or lunch at Raichur used to be super, rose milk at Guntakal, dinner at jollarpettai is still in memories. Then lits of fruits used to come in Andhra. While returning on the same train, morning breakfast at jollarpettai, lunch at Guntakal and dinner at solapur. Aldo we used to buy good bed sheets in solapur. Dry bhel used to be popular. Mango with salt and chilly powder was a treat.
Yes absolutely!! I used to travel to kadapa in this train during my childhood days as I'm from kozhikode and used to catch the train from pgt for going to kadapa. Railways had short terminated this train till pune, they should restore it back to csmt or some other satellite stations in Mumbai as it plays an alternative route for kerala people to goto mumbai
@@sreekrishnasai7462 I missed to mention Cuddapah. Earlier it used to be spelt this way. Good food and cuddapah stone for chapati making.
@@sr4865 yes, But now train goes 2 hours late from kanniyakumari, If we can restore old timings then we can extend this train till mumbai itself
