- 3 Ingredients Caramel Pudding | Dessert Recipe. As the name implies, caramel is the main ingredients to make the pudding colorful. For this reason you need to make the caramel properly. To make the pudding you need egg milk and sugar. Vanilla essence is for better smell but you can skip it.

facts that no one told u:
-The melted sugar/caramel will dry fast.
-When u pour the melted sugar in a bowl, make sure ure fast enough to spread it around or it will be unevenly spread. Lol
-The melted sugar hardens fast like rocks that it will stick all over on ur spatula n pan.
- DO NOT touch the melted sugar when its still in liquid form. U dont wanna leave mark on ur skin like me. 😅

Hey can u tell me how that sugar part in this video still soft/liquid form after putting in freezer? I tried this but after taking out the pudding from freezer, caramel sugar was rock af. Do u have any suggestion to prevent this? Thankyou.
@@jsin4922 hii, its meant to be hardened. The sugar will eventually melt slowly like ice cream. Meaning, u must tke out the pudding early like 30mins ish bfore serving. Hope this is the answer ure looking for 😁

I accidentally burnt the sugar so the glaze is bitter but it doesn't affect the pudding's taste that much

Add 3 tbsp sugar and 1.5 tbsp water in a small saucepan with a medium flame. Stir occasionally until sugar is amber and no longer bubbling. Transfer the caramel immediately to the bowl you will use to store your pudding, and spread the sugar around the bowl, ensuring it fully covers the bottom.
Add 2 cups of milk and 1/3 cup of sugar to a pot. Boil on medium flame until the milk is reduced by half.
Whisk two eggs in a large bowl at room temperature. Add the reduced milk to the egg mixture. Add 1 tsp of vanilla essence. Mix well.
Strain the milk mixture into the caramel-lined bowl. Use a spoon to push any remaining milk through.
Cover the bowl in aluminum foil and place into a paper towel-lined pan filled with water. Steam it for 30 minutes.
Let cool completely, then store in the fridge for 2 hours.
Run a knife along the sides of the bowl to loosen the caramel pudding, and flip the bowl over into a pan. Enjoy!

I tried it and it's turned out better than I thought it would be. I had a lttle problem with the caramel, When I kept it in medium flame it turned to crystal and I had to turn it to high flame and melt that crystals(It's probably a problem with my stove), it had a faint burned taste/smell(just faint, you only pick it up if you really focus on it) and I think you need to steam it for at least 30 to 40 minuts. Overall it's good and I will try making it again with above problems in mind.
Honest review : I wanted to try and make the caramel pudding for along time but all the recipes I found before were kinda hard .. so I wasn’t really sure about this one ; but it’s AWESOME !....
My mom always hated the caramel pudding when we buy it but she loved this one and asked me to do it more .. and I’ll definitely will ! 🖤💎

This recipe reminds me of my younger days. I used to serve this pudding chilled to my sons saying this was icecream. 😄

One tip to all 1st time makers- it sets well after putting it in the fridge...
How long should I leave it in the fridge for then? I attempted it yesterday but my caramel crystallised and was too liquid which made the whole pudding a disaster. I got the caramel just right this time round and am wanting it to turn out perfect😅😅

Some points which I observed for the beginners
I tried to keep the steam on gas on low flame
I boiled the milk and reduced it to half by keeping it on medium flame

I make this at least once a month and sometimes i want chocolate so i put in 2 tbsp of coco powder to make it chocolate pudding ( and leave the caramel part out), i love this, thank you so much for sharing it with all of us! ♥

You steam the cake with low heat for longer than 30 ‘ and it will be smoother without holes .
