I own a 17 mt10, So It could be bias. But personally I prefer the look of the "old" gen. Yamaha I Feel could have done way more, based on some of the concept design's I've seen.
Especially the headlight. Imo, i really want it be more sleek and looks more "suitable and fitted" to the rest of its body". But yamaha always go crazy when choosing mt's headlight design 😄
Great video! I have the 2018 Mt-10. I just got back from the Yamaha dealer and took the 2024 out on a test ride. In my opinion there were no disguising characteristics that stood out in terms of how the bike rides. So it boiled down to aesthetics for me. I personally like the 1st gen looks better than the new one.
Nice comparison, but you forgot the that the quickshifter also works down on the new MT-10. Also the fuel economy is said to be (according to Yamaha website) 0,37/L instead of 0,8/L. Yes I'm european, we use litres and km/h.

They really watered down the new design imo, I love the old OTT design (I have a 2017 mt10) Looks incredible and gets comments everywhere it goes, The new bike looks too 'normal'
Yamaha Super Nekad is really marvelous. The best design among the super nekad are the MV Agusta Dragster/Brutale and Kawasaki Z1000, Z900 & Z800.. other brand do have the look of super naked as the fuel tank do not have the nekad design.
It's funny that they bothered to change the styling, but it's still ugly AF. That CP4 deserves better. Idk why, but unless it's a supersport, Japan churns out some of the most dog ugly bikes. I'd still get one though😄
