So once it’s on the cake and you place in the fridge for storing purposes once you bring it back out does the filling stay hard or go back to the consistency it was when you first spread it?
It’ll become firm from the fridge so I tell people to have it out for an hour or two before serving so it comes back to room temperature. But that firmness is what you want especially if you have ti deliver to drive it any where
Stick it in the fridge for 15- 20 min, take it out and stir. Repeat this as often as you need to get the thickness you need. Don’t give up- I’ve had this happen too and it’s a pain in the butt, but it can still work. I’m sorry it happened!

I had it in the fridge for probably 30 min all told before I had a good consistency
