I have been trying to learn this move for 6 years. My arms have been externally rotated (as I was taught to have them in a down dog). The INTERNAL ROTATION and shoulder blade pushup is the KEY FOR ME. Now I'm so close!!!! WAY closer than I ever have been. Honestly. Dang. Thank you so much this fricken video right here 🥲🤯👏🏻🎉
@@heidizettel Years... Okay, this actually helps to read. I'm about 3 months into Ashtanga and think it would be cool to start acting like I know what I'm doing (I don't). That draws my attention to these transitions that stood out to me the first time I took to Google to figure out what the hell I signed up for... These people are basically defying gravity between the sequences whereas I'm impersonating either a donkey or a walrus. Your comment makes me think this could take a long time, but also that it's possible to keep getting closer. I'm 6'3" and 44 year old with a desk job (rather than being a 16 year old gymnast), but I think it's worth working on it regardless. It just look so cool! I hope you get it soon or have gotten it by the time of this comment.
Fantastic teaching and demonstration. Jalena is incredibly strong, flexible, and has precise control of her body in these movements. A testament to her commitment and a gift that she humbly shares with us.
What a great explanation!! I thought I was hopeless when it came to floating, but this makes so much more sense now!! I can’t wait to try it later today!! ❤ thank you so much for this video and explanation! Literally the best explanation I’ve seen yet (and I’ve watched A LOT of videos on this 😅)! P.S. if you really think Jelena’s floats were “clumsy” please don’t ever watch me 🤣🤣🤣
Jelena you are incredible! Also David's guidance is the perfect match for instruction.. just lovely. The subtle jokes between you two keep me coming back for more as well, lol~love it!!!
Best tutorial ever! Your patience and kindness shines through the instruction and Elena is super amazing ❤. Going to try to follow this for sure. Many thanks
Absolutely amazing! I have been trying to do a handstand, and was doing the donkey kick and lost my balance and fell over. Now I'm working on overcoming my fear and keep trying. Thank you for the motivation!
Hello David. Hopefully one day I can take your course in real. You're a great Teacher and your encouraging smpile makes one wanting to practice more and more . Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge as usual. Merry Chrismas and Happy New Year.
I been wanted to really know how to float, but nobody really explain it to me. My teachers just showed me… but not explain it to me 😅 now I got it! 😅thank you ❤
Loved this as always! I wanted your opinion on whether it is appropriate to take asana or vinyasa movements outside the context of the practice and work on it separately.

A lot of this seems to be the beginnings or precursors to handstands.
Excellent tutorial. Feel like I'm making some progress at last 😊. Even on the jump forward we are to roll the shoulders out?

점프백할때 호흡은 항상 어렵네요 마시면서 하지만 더 세분화하면 마시면서 준비하다가 내쉬면서 한다는거 맞지요?
Excellent
Gracias ❤
Sir , ..should one know the handstand before floating .??
It is not necessary :)
🙏
This woman has monster strengh on the arms.
When you say "spin the arms in" what do you mean? Arms should rotate inward??
16:10 quintessential bunny hop
Poor Fiona! If she's a little clumsy I'm a hippopotamus
Can anyone 6"4 or above do this?
Don't do the donkey kick was VERY good advice for me!
Using the Hindi terms is great but in Hindi those terms mean something.
Could you translate for us simple folk
Many thanks for your sharing this well demonstrated, valuable information 🧘🏼🙏
