      I find his his fitness level as inspiration. He made it look “easier” because he put in the many hours of practice to make it look “easier.”

    Cathy and Gabo, I love your video. I have wanted to this for so long, and it is not an easy journey. I have been working on my HS for almost 2 yrs, and I have come pretty far with some inconsistent holds for up to 20 seconds! But I must kick up, and cannot yet do the tuck jump or hop. So I will start with this, and see if I can overcome my fears. This is excellent, and I really like the way you show how a spotter can help! Thank you both!

      You're right it's not an easy journey! Learning to float and handstand was one of my biggest dreams! Lots of patience and practice sounds like you're right on track!! Thanks for practicing with us!

    6:05 make sure really press and extend your shoulders to get to a similar shoulder position as a free hang from a bar. Both were doing it but she didn't mention it. If someone is struggling that may be the culprit.
    Another thing that might get the feeling for the position is stand w/ ur arm raised streight overhead, extend your shoulder, reaching for the ceiling. W/ making sure your head stays upright, your shoulder will eventually touch your ear (don't move or tilt your head out to meet your shoulder).
    If you don't quite have the hamstring flexibility you can use blocks under your hands or stand on your finger tips.

    i wish there was a more beginner friendly tutorial. this one starts by coming into a handstand!?
    are there any recommendations for how to jump forward for people who dont already know how to do a handstand? (feel like id get injured trying this)

    • @CathyMadeoYoga
      @CathyMadeoYoga  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! This video is floating, so it is an advanced move you're basically catching and hold air on your handstands, which is why some of the drills look like a handstand. but I can absolutely make a video for jumping forward and jumping back for those just starting out!!

  • @CedricAbeck

    Thanks for the video, would be better with a T-shirt though.

    • @CathyMadeoYoga
      @CathyMadeoYoga  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well he's going upside down so a T-shirt would be in his face. Many men practice yoga and calestentics without a shirt, also we can see what muscles work as Gabo demos. But thank you for your feedback and I appreciate you watching
