I have a CJ 5 and I bought it with 12.50 x 35 tires on it. It came with just standard breaks and it was a big problem to get it stopped. I had vacuum diaphragm power breaks installed and the breaking power improvement was minimal by installing a vacuum diaphragm for power breaks. It was a waste of money for me until I had the HYDRO - BOOST breaks installed. My Jeep now has gobbs of stopping power !!!

I have a 1973 CJ5. Can you tell me where you got the tilt wheel for it with the male spines on it? Also, the only boosters I can find are everything after 1973. Can I just use a newer model jeep booster on mine? I'm not a mechanic, but I'm restoring a jeep. lol. Makes sense, right? lol

Wanna get my 96 Cherokee 2 door sport 2 wheel drive 4cyl 5 speed back on the road for me, uni-body frame rails fuel lines and brake lines also need a couple floor patches. Motor and trans is good along with the rear end. All tires and wheels are good.

That’s too much work for it. Unless you wanna convert it to a 4.0 and 4x4.
