I think this would easily be taken care of if Deadshot didn't gain meter for blocked projectiles and the opponent did. I think once people figure out the meter burn roll this won't be as big of an issue against most spammers, but any decent player will just be able to slightly adjust the timing.
I see, so maybe just nerf the damage on the projectiles, or nerf the meter gained specifically by Deadshot, although last night they had an exhibition stream (Pig of the Hut) and Deadshot was shut down by Aquaman.
i love how in this video it says "how to get pass it" yet in his examples he was still getting shot by the basic shit let alone when deadshot actually starts to mix up his gun "combos".
with supergirl I use meter burn spaceport to pop them up, then b3 for combo or the meter burn Kryptonian force grab if you have unlocked it. does decent damage. can use spaceport instead of combo if you want to push them away.
I think the best nerf they could give him is meter generation. That way he is less safe and he won't win clashes as much, but he still gets his free knock back. You also won't feel as bad using 2 bars to roll in, meanwhile he has almost infinite bar. Reducing roll to 1 bar would be a bad idea, as It would easily become the best way to get in, in every matchup.
Roll is like teleport it's unsafe you always see sonic punishing rolls and teleports with Deadshots down 1 combo to reset to full screen again, u can only get in with it when he is in the middle of a meter burn attack or something the only reliable way to get it on Deadshot that I have seen is with flying characters like superman and supergirl
Any tips for Scarecrow on getting in on Deadshot? I haven't played online yet and have been practicing so far.I've found a few things that are helpful:1. Teleport isn't fast enough on recovery to punish single shots; can punish multi shot moves if you predict them, but without meter burn armor/fast recovery it's tough to use this2. Backdash has invincibility enough to dodge around 2 shots (I.e. The multi low shot). You still get hit by 2 shots, but actually take less damage that 4 blocked shots. This invincibility might help make teleporting easier3. Forward 4 can be used to hit Deadshot from just over half a screen away. It isn't fast enough to be put in between shots I believe, but a meter burned usage can plow through a single shot. It seems follow ups may be possible here, especially bf 1 (chain grab)4. Scarecrow seems to have a decent walk speed, so that may help get closer5. Scarecrow has the ability to throw interactables, so meter burning that will help6. I haven't determined hard knockdowns, but if you can't get Deadshot in that state, it seems like it's almost impossible to activate Scarecrow's trait (real bummer because fully charged trait would help with zoning)7. Forward 2 is a pretty fast move that can close the distance from a little less than half screen8. Chain grab, bf 1, is not fast enough to get in between single shots9. I haven't tried it, but Scarecrow has an air move, which may be helpful with Deadshots that anti air consistently (change air trajectory)10. Db 2 (fear cloud? From the ground) can stop one projectile. But you have to do the move in advance of Deadshot shooting to block it. The meter burn version cannot block more than 2 shots at once (and even a second one being blocked is rare)

And anyone with a mid-hitting projectile can't do it so fast that you can't cover ground by just inching forward until you're at a range where your options can threaten the zoner.

Not really. Sonicfox had to rely on the actual most OP character, Black Adam to win tournaments. His Deadshot gets trashed when he has to fight the likes of Rewind and Tekken Master.
maybe do a poison ivy one next, I got spammed with this vine that comes out the ground constantly, tried timing my jumps carefully and got caught almost every time. Then Ivy's character power added to that makes it almost impossible to move
i feel this only works if that's the only gun attack they used. you showed the bullet bounce one that stops those who try to jump at them. also if they unlocked the gear ability for the low shot version of the move you are using in this vid, that's even more of a headache. an example of a very annoying deadshot, was the A.I version in a guild multiverse event that passed recently. if he didn't try to rush you down if you were close enough to be attacked, he sat at full screen and fired every shot in human history. he even punished people who could teleport.
Do you use record playback to practice against dead shots guns? Haven't used that in practice mode yet. I main the flash and have played against darkseid doctor fate and deadshot zoners. I use parry and meter burn roll, sometimes to no effect though

I main Deadshot (I'll zone everytime they go far away from me) and I noticed that most people I fight just crouch there, they don't even move, and really, that's just a free win to me since Deadshot has low attacks, I always struggle with characters that can Air Dash and when people use interactables correctly, so what you said really does help, of course, if you want to play Deadshot properly, atleast learn some combos, otherwise you're just gonna get your ass whooped against these type of players, however he's still not that great at close range, some of his attacks are way too slow, if you get the chance to get close, don't waste it. Also, if your character has a teleport, use it, it's really hard to deal with those characters when using Deadshot, just don't do it all the match, once you get too predictable, it's very easy to just counter it
Supergirl and scarecrow are good counters cause of there teleports. Plus try other zones like darkseid, dr. Fate, black Adam, green arrow, aquaman with his hentai of the sea. Black canary can scream stun him, batman can grapple towards him, green arrow can freeze him,brainiac sends his drones, cyborg sends his drones. Or play deadshot yourself and give em a piece of their own medicine...... Wait I'm a deadshot main, why am I telling you this!?

Well, there is only one way to deal with spamers in tournaments like SonicFox, is banned them for spaming. So, if he starting to spam anyone, then just banned him, and that's it, problem solved!

Kaymai yup. ofc some players are harder to work against than others. for instance Black Canary's only two ways to get in against say a deadshot are the cry and MB roll, so if youre at 0 bar and wasted your trait, youre fucked lol. but also i think people who do random moves without reason are not at all predictable - the lack of reason = not easily anticipated. if a deadshot doesnt know exacly when to use each projectile move, they'll pick one at random, making it harder to read the patterns and get in. a pro player will have a defined zoning pattern. for instance(NOTE: not calling myself a pro, but i feel like i have a good understanding of zoning) what i do in MKX with liu kang. i usually do a low fireball for some chip, and then instant air because they'll try to jump over what they expect to be another low fireball. if someone knows i do it, theyll find it easy to counter. if im doin random shit, theres no real logical counter. struggles of zoning and spamming lol.

I love dead shot but as a main I don't spam guns. I'll combo into them or use them lightly to finish off an opponent across the screen or for some light damage. I don't like that spammers ruin characters for us true mains
just use aquaman's from the deep or whatever its called it is a positive trade with deadshot's high projectile and if you mb it you can get 250ish i belive
Glad you made this video! Nothing really revolutionary, but everyone seems to be losing it over Deadshot after SonicFox started playing him. Honestly, it doesn't matter who SF plays, he'll probably win anyway, especially when he dedicates so much more time to the game than others.
Lol one note: You did not have deadshot set to do his straight shot with the smallest recovery window. He can shoot much faster with less space in between what you had him set to. Same goes for Harley. It takes too long to stand up and tap FFMB before the next shot comes out and hits you. He needs more recovery on his guns.

Once you gain Black Adam's "Seth Strike" ability... that's how you deal with Deadshot, Superman, Darkseid, and Dr. Fate.

Low lasers only work if your close. If you're a ranged character you'll be fine, If you need to be up close, Try to get behind him and fuck him up.

If you block them you are at advantage, try slowing moving in. If deadshot keeps going backwards he will eventually be in the corner

My main Atrocitus can't jump off of interactables. He throws them. Same with half the cast. Deadshot and Harley are problems
