When I first started on Injustice 2... I told myself I wasn't gonna use Bats. Years later, he's a main and all of his combos are virtually automatic now.
Black Canary is crazy too. Enchantress is badass with the set ups. It was funny for the gear part, if you get the full set that reduced her trait time and use the Quan Chi trance move, you can do a combo to death unlockable reset.
Remember when black magic didn’t need meter to launch? Black Adam was so dumb for the first month or so. He was my main too and even I thought he was op. You forgot to mention that meter burning dive kick turned it into a safe launcher. Everything he did was safe, but cancel into trait and it’s now plus and does good chip. Duck his forward advancing high? Oh wait he has a fast overhead that does big meter less damage
I actually really agree with this list, well thought out. My personal top 10 is pretty similar, sorta lol: 1) starfire (this game is all about zoning 80% of the time, and she has the best zoning imo) 2) batman (only way to counter his trait, which may be the best trait in the game, is to push block or wait. But the more you wait for him to use it, the more pressure he gets) 3) atom (all around solid and annoying, but honestly as an atom main can be overrated in terms of damage and "mixups". still, he has a really short hurtbox which helps against other high tiers like superman, hellboy, etc., but struggles against aerials [brainiac]) 4) black adam (lost of counter zoning tools and a crazy fast dive kick, best Win button trait and crazy damage. I mean come on) 5) dr fate (if you let him get started, he can be pretty oppressive with the anhks, his giant magic ball and smaller fireballs. Also has decent damage and an amazing anti air with B2) 6) firestorm (blue trait. Moving on) 7) Brainiac (an aerial batman if you will, sorta. Long limb attacks, impervious dive kick, crazy damage. Only thing he lacks is a consistent wakeup, and a projectile) 8) superman (F23) 9) hellboy (has a lot of utility and crazy mobility. Needs bar a lot and only has 2 real combo starters with the air grab, f23. His command grab does tick on s1 d2, d1, and f2, but can whiff on crouch, so a little iffy) 10) [arguable for higher] Flash (best mixups, best damage, and best hype)
I think it’s kinda cool that for this game they made Batman’s combo strings super easy (I guess they kinda did in injustice one as well) but it really makes sense for his character as he wants to take advantage on anything he can and making his move set feel smooth and agile really made sense for him as he has his gadgets and martial prowess to take advantage of people (considering the super duper pills) and made him so balanced still considering he doesn’t have an amazing ability to take advantage of. Picking this game back up to play against the sweats online!
I find subzero to be the character I use most, I just like the way he plays, don't know if anyone else uses him or not, I'm not that into the game I just find it fun to play
power girl should be on this list. her teleport is so fast it’s almost impossible to react too. she has lasers and freeze breath as well and her overhead is op
Her teleport is hella react-able. Most supergirl just d1, or b23 frost breath which have gaps and is punishable on block. Her f3 ( overhead ) is slow.. it’s decent at best. The only thing you gotta worry about is her lasers. Just by blocking low you force her to play aggressive and block 80% percent of her combo starters.
Aquaman is also really good especially with the kraken move I don't think you can even dodge it and it has a lot of range I think if you get hit by it once it's game over because it trips you over making it almost impossible to break out of against a spam player
Injustice 2 has my favorite balancing and it's overall my most favorite of the modern NRS games I don't even care I will die on this hill "BuT tHE zOnINg!" Yeah go play something like sfv and fight Guile, or Poison, or Dahlsim and get back to me on that

I personally put Atom a little higher on my list but yeah this is acceptable. Besides Slick, not too many people play Manta at a top tier level. Very rare to see
Batman is better than both flash and black Adam. I wouldn’t put flash in the top 10. Black Adam top 10 yes not top 5. Too many characters better than both them. Batman is literally a walking W. You hate auto neutral when Batman gets a full meter less combo off of trait with just 1 bat. Also get SuperMan out of here. Robin too. I only agree with the firestorm and Starfire for top 5! But this is your opinion after all. But I go off how much a character was used in top play. Also basing off how many match ups they lose or win. Just my thoughts on this 💪

The best flash at the time which was honeybee couldn’t even play his own main due to such bad match ups. I don’t care how powerful Firestorm is. Firestorm is a shit character! I don’t mean to be rude about your opinion. I accept your decision. But still. My hatred for the character in terms of design and concept is so genuine, it couldn’t be helped but have a nerve struck to see him at #1 , let alone see him on the list. DC equivalent to Jar Jar Binks.
What character is good for my Playstyle? My Playstyle is a tanky zoner, basicaly a character that has high defenses like a tank but also a more pacifistic playstyle keeping myself at a distance and slowly chipping away at my opponent but still able to take hits if I need to.
The options off leap are really insane. You can’t really zone him out. His trait makes him viable in almost every matchup. Only issues is that he gets low profiled a lot and can get rushed down like crazy
Dr fate is way too easy to counter pick. Same with brainiac and catwoman. Scarecrow is good but not better than the other characters on this list. Atrocious has a really good trait but rely not much else.

I was halfway through this video and didn’t think you were gonna include flash bc idk if he’s top 4 but unless you hard counter him ( aquaman, cold, WW) the matchup doesn’t matter it’s unreactable mix into mix again or a restand or otg. The big problem w flash day 1 was legacy flash players were so used to being carried by his DP and the terrible walk speed so they didn’t think of using trait for anything except launching combos. Guys like happy pow who really optimized RMS and used neutral trait to enhance his neutral really showed MUs don’t mean shit.

If you like zoning I recommend using atom he is a really good zoner but if you wanna spam then I would use starfire
