      I’m hoping I don’t have that issue with my battery 🙏🏽. Just got my bike 2pm yesterday

      Hi Shakur, I'm sure you'll be fine, it's a fairly uncommon issue from this company! The bike has unbelievable range on one charge, my wife is getting around 100 miles. Overall a great bike and I think one of the best values out there right now. Ride safe, have fun!

      @@lifebehindbarz60 oh wow 100 miles that’s nuts and good at the same time. I’m guess she weighs under 150 lb but I’m glad tho. Now I’m gonna have to call juice bike up and apologize 🤔 oh well will do tho. I guess they might need to day range varies based on size and weight and carry load next to the range listing 🤷🏽‍♂️. But great work 👍🏽

    I like those metal "up and over" ramps at the side of the farmers gates. Not ever seen those in the UK. We usually get locked gates or gates that are designed so you cannot get a bike through.

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Geoffery, yes me too! I always had to battle the spring loaded gates at this location. It was a challenge to get your bike through without the gate pinching / scratching your bike!
      These new cattle / horse ramps are slick, I hope the park service puts them in everywhere the old gates are currently used!
      Cheers

    Thanks for doing this video, I have been researching the RipCurrent S and have just purchased it with the performance kit. I have been on the facebook juiced groups asking about it I’m hoping it is going to work out for what I need.

      Hi Gary, I have nothing bad to say about the Ripcurrent S bike. It is well made, handles very well, has tons of power with the 1000w motor and 52v battery, and if you catch one of the sales on this bike it is relatively inexpensive. Overall just a great value. I like riding it and my wife loves it (really her bike).
      I think you'll really like it, especially with the performance upgrade, this thing should really scream on the back roads!
      Cheers

    Would like to see you do a review of the Velotric Nomad1 and compare it to this bike and the Cyrusher ranger you have. I know this one is probably more powerful. I bought my wife the Nomad and am impressed with the overall power and torque. Trying to decide on a good bike for myself.

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, yes I wish I had a Nomad1 to do a comparison with! I did ride next to a Nomad for a few miles on a climb last month. It has a great look and was definitely a strong climber.
      The Nomad gains some points on the RipCurrent with the Shimano Altus derailleur, the 2yr warranty, throttle speeds that are graduated depending on what pas level you are in, and the price.
      There are a few categories where I like the Juiced RipC more, such as battery size, a very well designed program and small display, rear rack as a standard item, air fork, and a torque sensor (that's mandatory).
      The Ranger in my opinion is a class above both of these bikes but it costs a whole lot more too, so probably shouldn't even be compared.
      I always look for these things when buying a bike. I want a powerful motor (bafang because they are easy to get parts for and are great motors) - the largest battery I can get, and a well designed frame. All the other things like seats, bars, pedals, shifters, forks, tires, etc are easy to change out and upgrade if needed. I also want a bike that I think is attractive, there a lot of bikes out there where the proportions just don't look right to me.
      Cheers

      @@lifebehindbarz60 Thanks for the reply. Just what I wanted to know. I'll probably order the Cyrusher ...either the ranger or the trax. I agree on the torque sensor.

    Is having the cadence and torque sensor nice and smooth or is it kind of jerky?

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, no the torque sensor set up on this bike feels very natural and smooth with very positive engagement. It's a nice ride and miles ahead of just the old fashioned cadence sensor. Cheers

    Do you have any difficulty installing the battery? Do you have any special technic to get the battery into its socket and securely latched. It’s seems like an unnatural battle each and every time that I reinstall it and seems to place excessive pressures on the receptacle connector. I follow the described manufacturer instructions. But to have to roughly slam and jam the battery into receptacle seems so unnatural and like it will eventually damage the battery connector or receptacle. On my RadRover the battery easily slips into socket and securely latches with minimal effort. Requiring no unnatural or abrupt effort.

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I know exactly what you are saying, it really seemed like I was doing something wrong at first when I tried to install the battery. I now gently hook the bottom in place, slide the battery at the top as far as it will go to the side, then smack the side of it with the palm of my hand to seat it. you can hear the click when you do this but I always pull at the battery to make sure it is locked in place. This is honestly the only thing I don't like about the bike, I really wish they would have put the on / off switch where you weren't required to remove the battery to get to it. I should probably try a little silicone grease on the receptacle and latch to see if it makes things any easier. Cheers

      @@lifebehindbarz60 Thank you so very much. Your information is so very helpful. Especially the information regarding always pulling on the battery to make sure it is locked in place. My battery almost fell off 20 miles into my last ride because it was not totally locked in place. It is also the only thing I don’t like about the bike. I also wish you didn’t have to remove the battery to access the on/off switch like on my RadRover. Good suggestion, I will also try the silicone grease. Thank you again.

    How did the new Air forks workout . what was the worst you tried to do to it and did it exceed your expectations ?

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Tony, so far so good but I have to get a bunch more miles on the bike before I can really give an evaluation of the forks. They seem to work just as they should and definitely have a smoother feel than standard spring forks.

    Hey there. Just picked up my RCS and the brakes sound like an old dump truck stopping! Did you even get yours to clear up after some hard braking and such? I spoke to juiced today and they suggested I upgrade to organic pads and that they won't replace them for me under warranty for the noise even though I've only had it 4 days and 45 miles.

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, your not kidding, the semi metallic pads that come stock on the bike squeal like nothing else! The fix for this is the organic pad switch. I'm not surprised that Juiced says if you want to do that it's up to you to buy / install them. Bike manufacturers like the semi metallic pads because they last much longer than the organic. I run organics on all my bikes and replace them about every 3 months if I'm riding a lot. Fortunately the pads are cheap at around $14 per pair. Cheers

      @@lifebehindbarz60 thanks for the quick reply! I love the bike otherwise and I'm already waiting on the performance upgrade controller. Bought it before I realized it doesn't even need that! You don't have to switch to organic pads to stop the noise.
      You simply have to learn how to bed your brakes.
      I got my RipCurrent S a year ago and I'm still on my stock pads.
      There are other channels that show you how to bed your brakes, or just Google.
      You're welcome.

    Sooooooooooo did the rear Ranger air shock give out on you ? Mine never lasted 300 miles, put a New one on and now I'm at 1000 miles but it leaks . are we going to have to upgrade to better shocks ???

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Tony, no my Ranger is over 1000 miles of mostly trail riding and the rear shock still looks and works like new. I thought about swapping it for a Rockshox unit I already have but decided against it since the stock shock works so well. I have gathered all the parts I need to do a rear swingarm bushing / bearing upgrade though..... The new parts I have will definitely help to take any play out of the rear. TH-cam video on that will be coming soon! Cheers

      @@lifebehindbarz60 Thanks ... I always welcome upgrades and performance upgrades. How close do you run your air pressure accordingly to your weight ? I am still trying to determine how much air I lose in a given period . using zip ties instead of rubber o-rings to mark travel now .

    • @metalmemberberries
      @metalmemberberries ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tonysmith5507 Look up proper suspension setting of a bike. Its the same as a standard mountain bike. You want the o-ring to come up about 25% (20-30%) off the bottom of the where it sits on the fork. Its easier with two people, have one person hold the front of the bike, while you take a seated position on the bike, and check the o ring. If you are alone, you can also ever so slightly stand up on the e bike with both feet on the pedals, being careful not to apply any extra pressure than your normal weight. Then check the o-ring.
      The PSI is not as important as ensuring that the o-ring comes up about 25% off the bottom of the tube when in normal seated position.

    Does the Juiced have more power than the Ranger? Is it a better climber?

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, I definitely like my Ranger better for off road climbing. The Juiced might beat the ranger on a paved uphill section if it were in "race" mode. It's pretty quick! Neither bike is a good climber using throttle only, but in pedal assist they do very well. Cheers
