    Morning Tom. You managed to get a great price on your new bike. Lovely video once again. You have such scenic roads around your area and it must be a pleasure every time you ride.

      Hi G, yes I think it's going to be a great bike for my wife. Too bad I got a bum battery but the company was easy to communicate with and fast to ship out another battery so all is good!

    I'm jealous, I got a black "scratch-n-dent" Ripcurrent step-thru a couple months ago, but not the new S that could accept the controller upgrade, and not in that cool brushed. Really enjoy the torque sensing PAS, so much fun! Both trail riding and grocery hauling capability not to mention easy to group ride, over 400 miles already. My only problem is that I cant keep the derailleur tuned for a whole off road ride... LOL,I bought this for my wife as well! Have Fun!!

      Hi Clint, yea I'm pretty happy with the deal I got on this bike! I haven't had any problem yet with the derailleur but I don't have any miles on the bike yet! I'll definitely be putting shimano parts on it at the first sign of trouble shifting. You two ride safe!

    I think the market is so flooded that manufacturers are just about given these bikes away at this point. I even see Specialized and Trek offering $4,000 discounts.

    What’s crazy is I remember when the Sondor in the background was the hot new fat e-bike out. Now look at the options!

      Absolutely, the Sondors was the bike to have, now even the cheapest import bikes smoke it when it comes to performance. In my opinion the Sondors is still one of the coolest looking bikes though.... I should probably hang it on the wall as art! Cheers

    I missed the sale on the brushed aluminum but next day the price on Red and Black ones dropped to $1599. I bought two for me and wife and got another $200 off. So two bikes at $1499 each wasn’t bad. Happy riding.

    Theres a guy on yt that just rips this company apart. Any issues after the battery replacement? Btw Im a from Denver and that looks allot like home.

      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello, the bike itself has been great so far, my wife has really enjoyed it. Just the one issue with the bad battery right out of the box. The company quickly sent me a replacement and all has been good since. Ask me about the bike again when she has 500+ miles on it for a better evaluation. I don't anticipate any issues, the bike looks and feels like a solid, quality build. Cheers

    Beautiful location. TY for the video. Small detail I noticed between assembly and the first ride cut, you switched out the BLACK headlight bracket for the smaller SILVER one. Any reason? Mine came with both and I was not sure which one was req'd.

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, I'm not sure why it comes with both mounts. After looking at both I decided on the silver bracket because it felt like it had less flex. Cheers

      @@lifebehindbarz60 Copy that. TY for the info. The silver one did not seem to fit right for me, with the hardware they included. The washer squished against those raised parts near the mounting hole and bent it open a little. The black one was flat and fit well. Again, for me...
      Good video(s) and TY for the additional info on the readback.

    Curious, if you had to choose between Ripcurrent S or the Ranger, which one and why? Forgot about price.

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, I really like the power and range of the Ripcurrent S (and price), but the Ranger's size, feel, and suspension make it my favorite. It's just a really fun bike to ride, and after you make a few modifications it's a very capable single track bike.
      Cheers

      @@lifebehindbarz60 well I'll be turning 70 in a few weeks so not into single track, but I do go off the paved roads and trails. We have some old train route that are made into multipurpose trails that are unpaved, and some spots can be a bit muddy. Been looking over the Cyrusher family of Ebikes, and three or four interest me. The Ranger and Trax are basically the same bike, just that one is step over and the other step through. The Ovia and Kommada somewhat interest me, but they both have three flaws that I could live with but would rather not, they are 20-inch wheels, cadence sensors and a battery that is smaller than I'd like. So the Ranger/Trax has been at the top of my list. I have a Specialized Como 5.0 IGH which I really like, about to hit 1500 miles on it since mid-June. It has no throttle, which I don't mind at all has I prefer to pedal. I'm just looking for a fat tire for those time when I think the Como's 2.3-inch wheels are a bit narrow.
      So thanks for the reply, the Ranger/Trax will stay at the top.

  • @mkygod
    @mkygod ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Can you comment on how the cadence + torque sensor feels compared to a bike that just has a torque sensor? From what i read in the manual, you can only turn off the torque sensor and the cadence sensor remains on all the time.

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I have a Cyrusher Ranger that has only the torque sensor and I like the feel of that lone sensor better. The Juiced bike pedal sensors feel a little "jerky" compared to the other bike if that makes sense. Just not as smooth. Cheers

    Nice review…
    But just a little warning about cruising on an ebike with not a lot of experience cycling…if you go out, your battery may malfunction, and you won’t have the esist for the return trip…just your legs.😬

    Just got the same bike today. Isn't the brake noise ridiculous? Otherwise a cool bike

    • @lifebehindbarz60
      @lifebehindbarz60  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Chris, the noise on this bike isn't bad but I only have about 10 miles on it. I'm waiting for the new battery. I'm sure they put semi-metalic pads on this bike, all the manufacturers do. I'll be installing organic pads soon, they are so much quieter and have such a nice progressive feel. The down side is they wear faster. Cheers

      Your opinion please. How is the build quality on the Rip Current? There is so much junk being sold now online. The market is flooded for sure as consumers are being more aware and prudent. I’m in California so I have been concentrating on Rad and Pedego because of the actual walk in locations and availability of test rides.

    • @chrisE815
      @chrisE815 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brantbeck4010 the one I just received has been great- put about 60 miles on it in 4 days. Once I swapped out the front brake pads, I have been much happier. That's not a long term review but for 1500-1700 dollars, it's an incredible bike. Doesn't Juiced have a showroom near San Diego? Anyway, my problem with Rad is most of their bikes are set up class 2. My Rad Expand 5 cannot be unlocked to class 3, unless I buy a new display. Another problem, most ebikes aren't built for pedaling at 25mph, but the Juiced bikes are geared really high- perfect for pedaling at 25mph plus.
