Just started this league with POE and it's nice to see someone else having all this question marks in his head as well.
Such a fun run to watch, hope the poe 2 team is keeping an eye on first timer runs like these for considerations for presenting info and adding a few more items to the help section in game.
Great to playthrough like this the first time. I heavy stiked through the whole game my first time (if you know you know). My advice at this point is to take what you know and start another character using a well known guide. Instead of getting overwhlemed with all the combos and interactions, and strangeness of all the skills and stuff, you can instead focus on only a couple of mechanics that combine to make a strong build. Once you master the well put together build, it will open your eyes to other potential combinations to explore.
I left the game in 2016 and came back this league and boy oh boy... I had the same reactions to everything new I came across. It's like a whole new game XD

Great condensed playthrough! Ive tried POE a few times over the years and just couldn't handle the shock factor of everything. Came back to it once D4 basically imo completely ruined the only ARPG I've ever played. Holy hell, what a sh*t show its been but damn its actually fun just making up whatever i want. Played some kind of rain arrow build and it was epic but also miserable lol. 2nd playthrough will absolutely involve a guide just to see what I could've been. Anyway, new sub here. Great content. (With exception of the balisstta, ballista, balisstta) 😎

every time you beat Kitava, you loose resistances to elements and chaos, thats what make the map stages so difficult, i dont know if you noticed

@@lovathon6365yeah the game does a pretty poor job of communicating that lol, especially considering it's 30%, and eventually 60% of each elemental resistance gone which is huge

It's the start of the "endgame", But T16 and ubers are really what many consider the "endgame".
There are some notable events along the way. That will test your gear, skills, and understanding of their mechanics.
Try regular Shaper or Atziri and you will realize the events are more than tank and spank, and you will need a general understanding of whats going on to defeat the encounter unless you are grossly over geared.
If your into "Bossing" look for bosses with their own loot table, they normally put up a good fight and requires you to do more than "dodge the red", as they will often have you play the environment as well as the boss.

Also very interested in the torch light revisit you mentioned, i played a bit back in the day,, but PoE is my main arpg these days, haven't seen torch light content in a decade.
If you are using Aura's like "Vitality" hold down "ctrl key" and put the skill on that bar because they are set and forget skill and they just clutter up your main skill bar. I believe they are bound to numpad keys. To use it just press the bound key no need to hold ctrl at all.
11:29 you can put whatever you like into the gem slots, but the idea will be to put the best skill in and use the rest as supports to juice the dps of that skill. Pays to take some time and read up on all the different color supports. at that lvl you should be using Galvanic arrow and holy flame totem and flame wall with supports, which will carry you along way into the game. you can also use the second wep slots to lvl gems as you go and use them later.

Hi Nyx, recently discovered you cuz Zizaran video. Any tips for a person to try PoE? I tried it a few times and I don't know what was the problem, but I didn't grasp it. I only played 2 chapters max even after setting up a lootfilter and finding a build in some PoE website related or forum, then I dropped it.
I don't think I felt overwhelming but I think I needed to constantly check build website for passive points, the useful approach on secondaries get the passive point rewards, etc so I was more time checking things than playing. This game is so huge that I don't know where to start if I try to do a blindfold run

It's a good feeling
my first playthrough took 80-88 hours, it was my first time playing an arpg so i think i did pretty good
holy hell well thats good time for free to play game, I have played poe for long time and normal act 10 rush is like 9h
Also, you can skip all the mobs and just go straight for hillock :D (when u start the game)
You usually end the campaign with 2k life, dunno who said you had low health when you close to it in a6-7
