My favorite Dale Jr story. He and Amy met when the company she worked for got the contract to build his house in NC. He feel for her instantly. So when she was asking him what he wanted in his new home.
He told her to design it the way she wanted. Because she'll be living there one day.

That must be another account he has - He was iRacing's Technical Advisor some years ago, so I'm sure he's run in more than 600-ish races. He even ran in the first Pro NASCAR Invitational iRacing Championship Series almost 10 years ago. Heck, any time Jr. would show up in a session, it would flood immediately with other drivers - unfortunately, most of them would just get on track to try and take him out. You could say that iRacing's "appear Offline" and Community Privacy features were created specifically for him, and the dozens of other Professional drivers who use it as a training tool.
All in all, it was a pleasure having the fortune to run in a practice session with him once (before the buffoons showed up) and on open chat. He truly is just "one of the guys".

5:16 This is very evident in the way he addresses people. I have heard Dale on many occasions keeping his manners and respects when speaking to other people. He is very appreciative towards the people that works for and with him. His win in Martinsville truly showed how much he values everyone he interacts with daily. He literally hugged and thanked EVERY crew member even the ones that were hiding in the background. He kept that same respect towards an interim crew chief when the Eury's went their separate ways when the TV broadcast aired his in-car audio during the race. Dale never wavered his responses to that crew chief by saying, "yes, sir, to each of his instructions. I am a fan of his all based on his upbringing and his work ethic. If there has been a great example of how to raise a child while being famous, it is has to be Dale Jr.

During the Winston cup races and Marlboro races and Camel Joe races at Portland International Raceway Earnhardt's would come to the North house restaurant where I worked after a race with his family and crew for a meal and drinks and what not and Dale Sr. had ordered a chicken fried steak dinner , later my boss and Dale Jr. should know who that is and the restaurant I speak of , came back with a double shot Whiskey and seven and a $100.00 bill and said that's from Dale dinner was real good . Thought that was really cool of your dad to do that cause I ain't nobody and I didn't expect to get a tip like that or any tip at all cause normally the only tips the cook got was is if the waitress shared any with the cook and their were a lot of other dinners at Dales table cause several tables were brought together so I don't know who all got what . I did get a chance to step out to the lounge area and see both Dale Sr. and Dale Jr. but never got to meet them personally that would have been awesome . The restaurant is no longer the North house and I no longer work due to disability but I do miss those days and seeing you come in after a day of racing . Congratulations to you and your wife on your new edition to your family . P.S. I Do have a cockpit simulator and although its not the expensive one's that are out there it make racing games a lot more fun and immersive than using the hand held controller , now I just need to get a gaming PC so I can go iracing in my GTR RACING COCKPIT .

7 Cup Series titles and 76 career wins?? Those stats are much closer to Jimmy Johnson (7 Cup titles, 83 wins) than Jr. (0 Cup titles, 26 wins).......

So many people hated jr. but he’s a class act and became more so towards the end of his career and into retirement.

No they hated his fans because he was an ok driver but there made him out to be the greatest driver ever

martinracn06 negative. No one thinks he was the best or a great driver. People just love him because of who he is. And he was definitley an above average racer. You got to give credit where it’s due. Fantastic plate racer and a really good short track racer, but okay at everything in between. I’m no jr. fan but I’ve been watching nascar since the mid 90’s.

Dale Sr may have been the better driver but Dale Jr i think grew up to be a better man. Definately more likeable. I mean how can you not like Dale Jr?

I have been a Nascar fan way before Jr. was around. I have not watched one minute of I racing . If they were to allow a percentage of fans to participate ( kind of a lottery ) along with the Pros, that might be interesting.

Way Back in Yester Year I ran #31 Black Jack Daniels Pick Up in Michigan with Dale Jr. and Kyle Busch figured the best way to get around me was to dump me... LoL all in fun Rubbin' is Racin'... But that was back when Dale had his own league(s)... I ran in a few different leagues and in charity races... Teams would share track set ups for practice, qualifying and on race day set ups and what the track modes like weather we were to run... Those were fun days MODS were out all types of tracks... Then the plug was pulled not all at once, but the mod creators were told to stop... Well all good things come to an end sometimes... Back then I was racing a real Limited Late Model so I had more time on my hands with online racing gone... I'd help with the car... That didn't go over well I just got in the way, holding them up... LoL But, right in front of me I have my NASCAR Racing 2003 season disc... After reading all of comments over the last couple of weeks on online racing... I'm getting ready again I have my old FANATEC wheel and pedals so it's something to start with... One thing I remember is a few drivers Dale's age were using the tracks for practice especially DOVER with it's tricky pit entrance...
