Have them work even if they dont need to, let them learn value, and when they need help but have too much pride in themselves to ask for it, you as a parent can prop them up and support them.

    "in 1998 I was racing at Daytona." Bro, I remember this race. I feel like the 90's was THE decade that NASCAR was at its absolute peak. It's probably become more popular technically... but that era was just such an amazing time to be alive through. A massive part of the sport died the day this mans father passed away on the race track. You could feel it in the air even if you weren't at the track. It changed the sport forever. I had a childhood friend who's parents had their ENTIRE house decked out in Dale Earnhardt stuff... thinking back I bet they made a LOT of money on some of that stuff. But yea Jr. and Gordon were new on the scene and were soo good.. Senior was a veteran along with countless others that were still racing at the time. It was just an amazing time for the sport and as a kid growing up I can't thank these people enough for just making that such a special time for SO many people. Hopefully one day the sport gets that "passion" back. After Gordon and Jr. retired that was just the nail in the coffin for so many people. I still enjoy the sport but just not like I use to. NASCAR was like a way of life lol

    I know some people will be squeamish regarding the part about Dale Sr being strict and 'whipping out the belt', but I'm positive that played a major role in Dale Jr's attitude and disposition today.. That and the fact that he was taught to pay for his own things as a young guy.. Making $100 payments on a used truck as an 18 year old is the PERFECT way for a kid to learn the value of things..

    • @jonathanryals9934
      @jonathanryals9934 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yeah gripping the shoulder belt with both hands, I really felt secure, relatively speaking. The car ran off the road in a curve, and the driver overcompensated, so we started sliding sideways to the inside of the curve, and I had a second or two so that's when I grabbed the belt and shrunk down a bit in my seat. (Just naturally or accidentally, not sure why I grabbed like that) We did two rolls with the passenger side hitting the ground first (I vaguly remember seeing the grass in the window beside me)
      The driver had no seatbelt and was bouncing off the roof. When we stopped, I asked if he was ok, and when he said yes, I burst out laughing. He thought I was laughing at him, and remarked it was messed up I was laughing, but then he started laughing, too. Really I was just laughing at the experience, because I was just flipping but I wasn't hurt, like I had cheated death, and I was relieved.

    Such a shame people can only compare Earnhardt Jr to his father. Talent usually doesn’t run in the family, we’re lucky to be blessed with his presence on the track. Not every father and son is Dell and Steph Curry, Earnhardt Jr is great in his own light. He’s not on the level of Sr. but he doesn’t have to be! It’s amazing to hear him speak on his career and his fathers legacy. He’s quite the personality!

He would have been grateful that you helped him get laid.. He probably would have invited you over to his house to show his appreciation.. You could have become friends and shit, or at the very least, fishing buddies.. I bet he would have even let you drive his racecar up and down the driveway.. You blew it big time man.. @MarkLada 5 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@FalloutUrMum There's only one way to earn it back bro.. You have to make restitution to the bro you committed unbroman like conduct against.. Normally, the bro guilty of committing the infraction, just let's the bro who the infraction was committed against, bang his girlfriend.. Seeing how Jr is a newlywed though, it might not be that easy.. It normally takes a few years before a newly married bro is willing to cheat on his wife.. So you may have to do some manual labor to settle your debt with Jr and get your card back.. Chores like splitting wood, cutting grass, and changing oil, are all acceptable forms of payment according to the bro code.. The amount of labor you owe him, depends on how hot his female companion was.. If she was a smoke show bro, your kids could be working off your debt long after you are dead and gone..

      @@FalloutUrMum that changes everything then bro.. If he sealed the deal with the female despite your flagrant violation, then technically he's not out anything.. While it's still a violation of the bro code, it's not an expellable violation, and you get to keep your bro card..

    I actually crashed my Sierra truck in November almost exactly how Dale Jr did, my right leg was crushed by the dash and my hands were torn up but I was perfectly fine everywhere else.
