Damn right there won't be another Barry Sheene, but Guy Martin will suffice. Gotta love Dick Johnson for his contribution to motorsport. Murphy/Ingalls can carry this on for the time being. All are simply good cunts, too many that haven't unmentioned in this post too...
I loved Barry's humor and easy to understand delivery. My favorite commentary of his was at an Australian race many years ago when the TV channel's journeyman commentators got into a complicated tire discussion and as an afterthought asked expert Barry for his opinion. The reply was brilliant, after minutes of naming compounds and manufacturers by the talking heads Barry's expert answer was "I always liked the round black ones"!
These are 2 superstars of their sports, and 2 really nice guys, Dick is a legend of Supercars and Barry on Racebikes. R.I.P. Barry you went way to soon...........
Both have/had very dry and funny humours, and like nothing more than havin a good natured dig at each other. it is a shame of Barry's passing from Cancer a few years ago
So I never heard of Dick Johnson, but many times the Police Stopped me and said "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE BARRY SHEENE" I usually answered Sorry Officer The Devil Made me do it, the Coppers on a number of times said, OK take it steady.
Two great characters and Andrew Denton was absolutely brilliant to watch as well. He could relate to anybody.
I could watch Barry Sheen interviews all day long what a true legend. There will never ever be another Barry, truly missed by many.
