I love how good an interviewer Michael Parkinson was.

I've never seen him before, but I like the fact that he didn't interrupt his guest.

Credit to Antonio, who remained respectfully silent, not drawing attention to himself once while Ricky held forth!

Totally agree. that reminds me of an interview with Pat Phoenix & Jim Davidson had gone before & PP was telling a story of her thoughts on suicide & he interrupted with a joke & completely broke the rhythm of her story. She was gracious & he remained silent after that.

He probably had no idea what was being said, both Parkinson and Gervais have quite strong accents and when this interview took place, he probably hadn't been working in English all that long.

I reckon he understood half of what they were bantering on. I would’ve been lost as well if I was on that stage in Spain! Although credit is due to Antonio for his six years living in the UK and working in the United States making some fine Works of art. One of the best actors to come out of Spain definitely

During the years when they collaborated, sure, but since then he’s never even referred to Steve during interviews regarding the Office and Extras. He talks about the creation and development as a singular creation made by him. I think it’s strange as it is sad. Judging Ricky’s later work, Steve clearly had the stronger talent for writing too.
