This channel exists to document unit counters within StarCraft 2. Tya's Unit Tournament features epic battles between units in StarCraft 2, using music from the game's soundtrack. Units are chosen from Protoss, Terran and Zerg forces, or a coop commander such as Raynor, Nova, Artanis, or Kerrigan. Units will independently use their abilities, in a basic way. All units use Legacy of the Void stats, the same units you'd see in SC2 esports controlled by the likes of Serral, Maru, and ByuN. The resource beneath vespene is the unit's cost in the mod I run on the SC2 arcade, Direct Strike. Enjoy!

Cuz he blinks a lot and vanguards missed a lot of shots. I'm more surprised they did that well, tho they are vanguards, not really a surprise

Zeratul is the one the units the best equipped vs Vangaurds - Vanguard's attack is quite slow, so with blink you can avoid it. also, Vanguards ain't the most mobile unit, and they like to fight in tight formation, so Zeratuls could easily deal a lot of damage quickly.
Zeratul has a 0.5 invulnerability every 5 seconds.
@@NestedQuantifier That was probably the biggest reason why since not all of the vanguard shots land at the same time.
I think it’s hilarious that, when there’s a group of Alaraks, more often than not only one of them survives. It’s like they all instinctively know that there can be only one.

Honestly I'm surprised he won at all. I fully expected the burst to absolutely annihilate Alaraks.
This is honestly routine for alarak at this point. Somehow 1 alarak does better then 30 alaraks
@@bleh491 It's more like 30 Alaraks have tons of damage output but divided healing from kills so they die easily until 1 left can easily kill whatever low HP enemies are left.
@@SaulGoodman3D2049 the alaraks are sacrificing each other, too, when suffering deathblows. when there is one left, there is no one else to sacrifice, but he is also getting all of the healing.
@@associatelordgodfrey Sacrifice doesn't seem to work on other Alaraks, which could be more easily seen in the last video with 3 Alaraks vs zealots. You could see it here too, with the last 2 Alaraks vs the last reaver. The Alarak behind could have Sacrificed the Alarak in front with more HP to survive, but dies instead.
Every time alarak is in one of these no matter how many of him there is. Only one ever survives. Its like the universe correcting itself

Stukov facing the Apokolisks reminds me of that scene from Hellsing Abridged where Alucard's dog gets turned against him. 'No ma! He was my dog....I'll put 'im down!'

Vanguards suffer massively in this sort of fight. Zeratul teleports and moves around a lot, which means Vanguard shots tend to miss and their splash is often wasted.
Alarak wins this. He has a lot of alpha strike for what he is, and 30 Alarak's add up to a lot of splash.
Had no idea what to think so I went with Fenix, forgot how good Tyrannozor is.
Stukov is good but Apocalisk is better: it's easy to forget, but most Apocalisk calldowns don't die, they time out.
The fact that reavers nearly killed every alarak and after seeing soooo many videos of this guy winning 99% of his fights really says a lot about the reavers. 😂

My predictions:
Vanguards (Zeratul has disappointed in the past, but...)
Alarak (I had doubts that they'd be able to survive the Reaver's burst, but if the initial Alarak burst does enough...)
Fenix (Somehow I thought the aoe would've done more to the Tyrannos oops)
Apocalisks (Stukov's playstyle puts him at range, perfect to get aoed)
I bet on Fenix too, but for his hight damadge base attack
@@dfyz1407 Even with the Forge upgrade his Praetor armor attack only does 50 damage, when the tyrannozors have 1000-1500 HP, and they have a chance of being able to reflect 10 damage per hit...

pretty sure it would end the same way even if there were 50 less alarak's ..... There can only be one.
They also get super buffed whenever they kill something or it just dies near them.....
Apocalisks all had very low HP at the end. Stukovs should have focus fired better!
