    Dude, I just found your channel. I love your minimalist, bare-"bones" approach--using XPS for nearly everything, a chef's knife for most cutting, apparently just eye-balling most measurements, etc. Excellent commentary, and I burst out laughing at the part where you mocked the weak. You clearly captured the Spirit of the Orc. Well done.

      Glad you enjoy it, hearing this feels good. My stupid internal voice of self criticism is thinking; "the video is too long everyone will be bored". But I guess that voice is wrong.

    Chicken bones could work. Dry them, bake them, be sure to remove all the meat and tendons and gristle bits and they should work just as well as "wild sourced" bones. I'm not planning any trips to the Finnish archipelago islands any time soon, ya know!

    Before you use biological material put it into the oven for 250 degrees celsius for 30 minutes to turn it abiotic.
    For these small bones your heat treatment should have been enough but the above has been given as a guideline by my cousin who is a biologist.

    • @BardsCraft
      @BardsCraft  5 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      Yeah that should work, and as long as terrain is kept in dry air, it should be fine. I also studied cellular biology, but then I started doing youtube :)

    For US crafters - PLEASE be aware that collecting bones/feathers from birds can be highly Illegal via the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Laws sometimes vary from region to region, but if you're found with bird bones, you can be heavily fined. Read more about it here - www.fws.gov/birds/policies-and-regulations/laws-legislations/migratory-bird-treaty-act.php
    Someone suggested chicken bones in the comments, which I think is a GREAT idea. Just be careful when collecting from the wild! There's no way for authorities to tell that you didn't kill a bird to acquire bones/feathers, which is why it's illegal to posses them as well. Be careful and happy crafting!

    Joining clay with method is super easy and will definitely reinforce your sculptures for longer life. Simple scoring of both pieces where they attach with water does the trick. I googled a step by step and this is the first one that populated, I briefly read it over and I believe it’s written in what would be a Bards Craft style
