I think the reason I love souls games is the how the high skill cap lets legends like Ongbal make the gameplay so artistic and beautiful to watch in the right hands. Keep it up Ongbal!
For a game where you can beat it with a good old R1 spam, seeing you beat Gehrman with just 2 R1s and using every thing your weapon has to offer is even more impressive.
One thing that I like about Bloodborne is Boss fight It Fun and Fair. It feel super rewarded when you defeat them. It just feel right Elden ring doesn't have this feel I don't know why. Maybe Bloodborne II will ever never happened But goddamm Bloodborne has special place in ours heart and it alway be.
Elden Ring bosses didn't feel very special. Design wise, lore wise or gameplay wise they're all mostly the same. If fighting a random schlomo is just as hard as the final boss, then what's so special about the final boss? The particle effect count? Elden Ring is just sensory overload, but the substance just isn't there. Worst FromSoft game by far. It's like it's trying to wow you constantly with its scale, when the other games in the Soulsborne series did the exact opposite: It managed to wow you with a very limited cut of the world. Fighting Gherman felt special. Fighting Ludwig and Artorias felt special. Fighting Isshin felt special.
BB and DS3 boss fights have higher ttk leading to an epic feel of every fights. ER bosses you have to kill them fast or they will kill you faster style makes them really unsatisfactory wether you won or die just like how Nioh bosses feel.

It still looks amazing, but Elden Ring has 165 boss fights and a ton of other strong encounters, too, while the older games are much more focused with around 25 almost unique bosses. (almost unique bosses because they 'recycle' bosses as normal enemies in all their games)
@@SalvageET Elden Ring is made to be beaten by summons. and beating it without it is kinda rewarding for your self satisfaction only because they kept whooping your arse over and over, unlike in other souls game where they can be punished badly like what they are doing to us, even in Sekiro.

fun fact, gehrman's theme is used (illegally, p sure) in a south indian film called Kala. friend of mine in college who was an exchange student had it on when I stopped by his place to pick up some stuff once and I instantly recognized the tune. it wasn't even a cover or a ripoff they just straight up had the exact sound file from the game it was funny asf. Idk anything about the movie except the name, but I remember the scene where the theme plays had the MC old guy stepping in slowmo through a flaming shack in some slum.

You can stagger moon presence before it doing that by inflicting enough damage on it. You gonna need early op gemstone (you can get it from cursed chalice) plus max beasthood stat. However.....BL4 in cursed chalice? Hahaha 😅😅😅
You either kill it before it does the attack with op chalice dungeon gems, or you can damage every one of its limbs just before they break, then basically killing it really fast while breaking all its limbs in succession. Doohandvlee discovered that you can also do this last strat at level 4, but it’s tigher to execute if I remember right. It was thought impossible to do at level 4 without op gems until about a year ago.
Did you enjoy Bloodborne Ongbal? Also do you ever have trouble figuring these games out? Like where to go and enemies etc. I know Bloodborne is more confusing of a layout than the other Fromsoft games
Yes, unsurprisingly. Of these two bosses, I would say Gehrman is usually harder and the Moon Presence is actually pretty easy. The DLC bosses are much harder.

Definitely the Living Failures. Even Ongbal couldn't do a no hit on him and that's why he skipped that part in his DLC boss no-hit fight video
